### 4/5 — Schön gemacht mit Luft nach oben

*2025-10-12*

**Developer response:** Thank you for your thoughtful review! We have added a second AI difficulty and will aim to add another in a future update. We have made some minor changes since your review to AI difficulty, so hopefully the difficulty levels has been improved for you. We're always taking feedback in this area so feel free to let us know your thoughts here or at support@spiralburst.com!

### 3/5 — Great Game but

*2025-09-15*

My City iOS is a great game. It runs smoothly, looks clean, and is super easy to pick up and play anywhere. However, one major drawback for me is the lack of a pass-and-play option. I’d love to be able to enjoy it at home with friends and family, but unfortunately, everyone needs their own copy of the game and device. Unlike the board game version, this really limits the social experience. Adding pass-and-play would make this app so much more enjoyable and closer to the spirit of the original game.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback! I am glad you appreciate the app's UI and portability! I have also noted your request for a pass-and-play feature. We decided against this during development, but we're monitoring feedback on this now that the game is released.

### 3/5 — Needs ai difficulty

*2025-09-11*

Good game but impossible to beat. Please make it easier.

**Developer response:** UPDATE: Thanks so much for this feedback! We have now added an Easy version of the AI! We also plan to add a Medium difficulty after some more testing.

### 1/5 — Not good

*2026-06-21*

I kept trying to like this game. I really tried. It has so much potential!

But the game is too random. You need just the right tiles at the just right time to make everything work. You might get one when you need it. But you probably won’t.

And if you do get a bad tile (one with an unplaceable weird shape), you are penalized even further when you pass on it. Why?

It’s more frustrating than fun.

Oh, and one more thing. For some reason you cannot pass on a church tile.

So if you get a church tile and cannot place it, too bad. Your game is over.

(Note that the Developer’s response is for an earlier review that I have since updated.)

**Developer response:** Hi Zachary, thanks so much for your review! I'm sorry you ran into some UX issues in the app. At the moment we only support the portrait orientation to simplify the implementation, but we'll keep an eye out for more feedback like this.

As for entering your name for a randomized game - this appears to be a bug that allows you to change your name in Random mode when you have an online account. The intended way to change your name when you are logged in is to do Main Menu -> Profile (top left) -> Manage Account.

Hope that helps, thank you!

### 1/5 — Buggy game with no dev responsiveness

*2026-04-14*

The board game is excellent and the core functions to play it are all here, but I can't rate it positively due to the numerous bugs our group has had ultimately ending our campaign unfinished.

### 1/5 — Very annoying

*2026-02-23*

The game plays in portrait orientation only, and then only in one direction. So I can’t charge my IPad when playing the game. Too bad for me.

Also, the game is just too random. You need just the right piece to make everything work. You might get it when you need it. But you probably won’t.

The game is more frustrating than fun.

On edit: The pass rule is either broken or makes no sense. It costs one star to pass on a piece. Well, okay.

I earn stars during the game. But very often when I want to pass on a piece, I can’t do it. That option is grayed out, as if I had no stars.

### 2/5 — Suddenly interfering with Bluetooth!

*2026-08-14*

I like playing the daily challenge! But the
iPhone app now interferes with anything playing through Bluetooth. Maybe a bug introduced with the last update? My iPhone 17 pro is up to date. Deleted app and reinstalled but the problem remains. I’ll change the review when app is usable again.

### 2/5 — Not so good

When I do win, I feel more lucky than clever.

This game is more frustrating than fun.

Oh, and one more thing. In some scenarios you cannot pass a church tile.

So if you get a church tile and cannot place it, too bad. Your game is over. Why add that aggravation?

Also, please allow us to pick the scoring rules we want to use when playing a Randomized Game.

Sometimes I just want a nice, simple game, one without so many scoring rules to keep track of.

Relaxing and fun to play. Daily challenge is a great way to wake up in the morning! The app works great, looks fantastic. Easy to pick up even if you’re not already familiar with the board game. Recommended to play the campaign to get a feel for it.

### 5/5 — My City

*2025-09-04*

Nice Game! I‘m very lucky, to get the possibility, to play one of my favourite legacy games at my IPad. 2020 I have played the board game with 3 friends and we loved it.
The app is easy to use and I like the dayly challenge and the campagne!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the nice review! I'm glad you are enjoying it :)

### 4/5 — Mehrere lokale Spieler

*2026-01-24*

Wir lieben das Brettspiel und würden uns jetzt noch eine Variante mit mehreren lokalen Personen wünschen! Sonst ist es toll umgesetzt

### 4/5 — A bit annoying

*2025-12-13*

The game plays in portrait orientation only, and then only in one direction. So I can’t charge my IPad when playing the game. Too bad for me.

Plus I hit a dead end when trying to enter my name for a randomized game. I can enter my name, and pick a computer opponent. But there is no continue button.

I suppose there is some trick here that I’m missing. But it shouldn’t be that confusing.

**Developer response:** Hi Zachary, thanks so much for your review! I'm sorry you ran into some UX issues in the app. At the moment we only support the portrait orientation to simplify the implementation, but we'll keep an eye out for more feedback like this.
