## What is My CookedBook?

My CookedBook is the AD FREE recipe organizer built for cooks who actually plan meals, host dinners, and know how much work goes into making it look easy.

BUILT FOR COOKS, NOT ADVERTISERS
My CookedBook is fully subscription-based and completely ad-free. We do not sell your attention. We do not inject sponsored recipes into your planning. The only thing we optimize for is helping you cook well. It started in our own kitchen. If it helps yours, that is exactly the point.

OCCASIONS - PLAN ANY MEAL, ANY SIZE
Hosting a dinner party for 12? Meal-prepping for the week? Group your recipes into an Occasion and scale each one independently. My CookedBook combines every ingredient across all your recipes into a single, unit-smart shopping list. No mental math, no missed items. When the week is over, Plan Next Week brings forward only the recipes you didn't get to, and Do It Again copies a whole occasion to a new date. Select plans add a day-by-day Timeline.

TIMELINE - KNOW WHAT TO DO AND WHEN
Lay out your next big event day by day. Put recipes on the day you'll make them, add everything else that needs doing, and assign jobs to anyone in your kitchen. Type it the way you'd write it ("Bake tarts Thursday") or paste in the plan you already have. Print it for the fridge.

SMART SHOPPING LISTS
One-tap list generation from any Occasion. Items group by aisle and show exactly which recipe needs each ingredient. Assign items to specific stores (Costco run vs. farmers market) and to kitchen members. Fill in what you already have and the app tells you whether it's enough. If the plan changes after you've started shopping, the list puts back only what you need more of.

KITCHENS - COOK TOGETHER
Create a shared Kitchen for your household, family, or cooking crew. Everyone sees the same occasions, recipes, shopping lists, and staples. Invite members with a link or QR code and plan meals as a team.

STAPLES
Keep a running checklist of what you always have on hand: Stocked or Needed. Add Needed staples to any shopping list, and see changes from everyone in your kitchen within seconds.

RECIPE MANAGEMENT
Store unlimited recipes with ingredients, steps, photos, and notes. Tap Add Recipe and paste one from anywhere or take a photo of grandma's recipe card, and our AI turns it into a clean, structured recipe in seconds. Create variants and experiment without losing the original.

SUB-RECIPES & COMPONENTS
Link reusable sub-recipes (sauces, doughs, spice blends) into any recipe. Scaling flows through automatically: double the main dish, and the components double too.

COOK MODE
Step through recipes one at a time during an Occasion with your combined ingredient list always close. Tap a step to mark it done. Designed for messy hands and small screens.

COLLECTIONS - BUILD THEM TOGETHER
Organize recipes into collections with your own sections and tags. Invite others to a shared collection and everyone adds their own recipes, credited to them. Save any collection as a printable PDF with a title page and table of contents. Perfect for a family recipe book or a holiday gift.

SHARING
Share recipes, Occasions, and collections by link or QR code. No account required to view!

EXPLORE
Browse recipes the community has made public and make your own variant of any of them.

NUTRITION ESTIMATES
Link ingredients to USDA FoodData Central for per-serving nutrition, including spirits, wine, and beer.

YOUR DAY, IN FOCUS
Open the app and see what you're working on: upcoming occasions, today's to-dos, open shopping lists, imports in progress, and staples you're running low on.

WORKS EVERYWHERE, EVEN OFFLINE
Full-featured on iPhone, iPad, and the web. Your upcoming occasions, shopping lists, and staples are saved to your device, so the store with no signal isn't a problem.

Plan. Cook. Repeat.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.0 — 2026-10-19

This update introduces collaborative collections, so you can build and share recipe collections with others. It also adds Timeline for occasions, a new way to stay organized for any Occasion.

We’ve made the app faster across the board, and Smart Import now takes less time to bring in recipes.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-09-29

This version is all about the performance and small quality-of-life improvements
• Smarter imports: pasted recipes with fancy bullets or symbols come through with more accurate ingredient quantities.
• Plan with your kitchen: when you create a new occasion, you can add it straight to one of your kitchens.
• Find recipes that need a photo: a new Photos filter on your recipe list shows recipes with or without a picture.
• Smoother reordering: drag ingredients and occasion recipes into place and they stay put instantly, with no jumping back while your change saves.
• Less jitter: lists no longer bounce when the app refreshes in the background. Pull down any time to refresh yourself.
• Fixed a few places where the keyboard covered what you're typing in.
• A polish pass across the app: consistent sign-in screens, tidier list headers, bigger tap targets, and better contrast in light and dark mode.
• Ready for iOS 27, plus under-the-hood updates for speed and stability.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-05

Offline mode that just works
Your plans now stay available without a connection. While you're online, every active occasion (yours and your kitchens') is saved for offline use in the background, so your recipes, shopping lists, and staples are ready when you head out, even if you forgot to download anything. Want it all? Settings > Offline Downloads has a one-tap "Keep everything offline" that saves your whole account with a live progress bar. Content that isn't saved offline is clearly marked, and force-quitting the app while offline no longer signs you out. You can remove any download anytime from Settings.

In-person QR sharing
Everywhere you share your content can now show a scannable QR code. Recipes, occasions, shopping lists, collections, kitchen invites, and shared cookbooks all get a "Show QR Code" option right where the share link lives. Hand your phone to someone standing next to you and they scan to open it, no texting a link required. Settings gains a "Share My CookedBook" row so you can share your whole app in person too. QR codes are generated right on your device, so they work offline and scan cleanly in both light and dark mode.

Fresh paint!
Quality of life improvements with some common sense layout changes to the dashboard, clearer visual cues throughout the all

### 1.1.2 — 2026-08-25

Collaborate with Collections!
You can now add collaborators to your collections. Collaborators can add their recipes. You can remove any recipe you wish from your collections, and you can also promote collaborators to curators who will also be able to remove recipes as needed. All recipes added to a collaborative collection must be public in this initial feature release.

Happy cooking!

### 1.1 — 2026-06-28
