### 3/5 — Adds crash app

*2026-07-10, version 8.0.5*

Simple app like to use, every time add comes up crashes the app on my phone and sometimes have to start over either goals and setup.

### 3/5 — Good. And bad

*2026-06-26, version 8.0.0*

The app is very helpful in tracking diet. However, there is no help. I’ve asked a couple of times before. I have asked again, several days ago. My screen is jumbled. I have canceled my subscription

### 3/5 — Ads broke the App for me

*2026-05-30, version 7.1.1*

I just had to delete the whole app, because I got an ad for IFit that would not close when I pressed the close button at the end of the ad. Closing the app and restarting it only played the app again and I went through this loop of closing the app, trying to close the ad and then trying to reopen the app over and over again until I gave in and decided the app is just soft locked for me at this point. I like this app a lot, but if ads can break it this easily. How can I trust it to help me?

### 3/5 — annoying ads

*2026-04-12, version 7.1.1*

decent app so far. just started using it. i love the color coded sodium labels when searching foods. this is the best sodium tracker i've found so far, just wish there weren't pop up ads. it's really annoying and ruins the workflow of trying to track my sodium as quickly as possible
so i can get on with my day lol. please fix that. ty.

### 3/5 — Barcode scanner issue

*2025-08-22, version 7.1.1*

I just got the app. Paid for one month to try it out. First thing I do is try to scan a barcode and it doesn’t work.

### 3/5 — Copy option gone

*2025-05-12, version 7.1.0*

I used to rate this app 5 stars all the time but now that we can’t copy meals and foods from one day’s meal to another I lowered my rating. Why is this feature gone or am I missing something in the change?

### 2/5 — Latest update ruined usefulness

*2025-05-01, version 7.0.8*

Snacks no longer appear as a separate area like lunch or dinner, but add to totals. Not as useful as old design

### 2/5 — Total rip off

*2025-03-17, version 7.0.5*

Awful app don’t pay for this.

### 3/5 — Manual Entires

*2025-01-16, version 7.0.3*

I don’t like that I can’t take a picture of a piece of food and get the calculation for it. I’ve added the app to my mom’s phone for her to track her food. For example…half of a banana. My mom and I don’t know the nutrient numbers to enter manually. Please fix.

### 2/5 — Not intuitive

*2025-01-01, version 6.20.1*

It looked like this was going to be a perfect app for controlling my diet. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem very intuitive and I can’t find any help files or tutorials in the app or on the website. The website doesn’t seem to be anything more than a marketing page. I sent an inquiry through the contact page but never got a response. I’m not willing to spend hours trying to figure out the app by trial and error. I feel that an app should have some level of instructions, especially if you expect to charge for it.

### 2/5 — Less than impressed

*2024-08-10, version 6.6.4*

The first time I used the app was less than successful.
First, I tried to use the bar code scanner offered. The icon too me to an additional app which has a monthly subscription fee. No other app that offers scanning requires this, so I did not install it.
Second I tried to enter my first meal: Overnight Oats.
The ingredients:
—1/2 c plain non-fat yogurt-this came up with a 3/4 cup serving size. When I changed it to 1/2, it retained the serving size and did not allow me to change the unit of measurement from serving to cups. Okay, 1/2 is 2/3 of 3/4, so that is doable
—1/4 c uncooked oatmeal-I searched oatmeal, all were cooked or flavored. So I searched raw oatmeal and uncooked oatmeal, same problem. Frustrated, I tried oatmeal again, the second item was what I wanted. Again, 1/2 cup serving size, so I had to enter 1/2 serving to get what I wanted.
—1/4 cup 2% milk-this item worked more as it should. Although the serving size of one cup was the primary unit, I could enter 1/4 and select cups as the measurement. I could also have selected grams, ounces, ml, but tablespoons or teaspoons were not there. What if I were adding milk to my coffee?
—1/2 cup sliced strawberries-this one worked, as the serving size was 1/2 cup. No fancy adjustment required

The app needs to improve its way of handling quantities. Yes, servings are a very common way of eating, but people always have their own way of doing things.

Yes, the app does do what I was seeking, track daily sodium intake. For that reason, I gave it 2 stars and I am not deleting it less than an hour after downloading it.

### 2/5 — Be Careful Clicking on Recipes

*2024-07-04, version 6.6.4*

The links to the recipes lead to websites that don’t exist or have porn attached to them. I was very disappointed to click on true recipe websites.
Integrity here app maker?!?

### 3/5 — Inaccurate

*2024-06-19, version 6.6.4*

I wanted to like this app, but the bar code scan gives incorrect sodium content. Since that’s the main thing I need it for, it’s not much use to me.

### 4/5 — Yeah!

*2024-06-14*

It works again! Thank you!!
The only additions that would be helpful are better definitions so that one can find a food product faster, and more break downs for food products when one item is taken off. For example: A fast food chain salad where a protein, like chicken, is removed.

### 1/5 — Latest Release Bug

*2024-06-14, version 6.6.3*

When I try to add a food item to Breakfast this morning, the app bombs. Totally closes down. Tried rebooting phone to no avail.

### 1/5 — Glitchy

*2024-05-11, version 6.4.1*

This is glitchy

### 2/5 — Ads don’t let go!

*2024-05-07, version 6.4.1*

Those ads they have keep going and going for ever and when an “x” does come up to cancel the dang thing, you can’t activate it!!!

So Frustrating!! I guess I’ll just stick to my My Fitness Pal app. Not as good, but it doesn’t make me want to hurl the phone across the room!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Updated App

*2026-07-05, version 8.0.4*

After 3 days of a messed up update and report that problem are fixed, they are not. Moving on. Don’t waste your time or money on this.

### 1/5 — It was good for awhile

*2026-07-03, version 8.0.1*

The latest update made me stop using the app. Now *every time* I open it to log my meal, it asks me to completely restart my profile, and then pushes me to upgrade the app.
In short, I have my macros and such set specifically to how my doctor wants them, and the app reconfigures them every single time.
I was able to deal with the occasional ads, but it seems like they’ve increased as well.
It was a good app at tracking the things I needed, but it’s not worth the hassle anymore.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2026-07-02, version 8.0.1*

I tried downloading several times and each time I can’t get beyond the set-up screens. So I had to give up

### 1/5 — No longer works

*2026-06-16, version 7.1.1*

I paid $29.99 for added features, but nothing works. The food search and barcode scanner do not work, so unless I just eat the same things that I can pull up in recent foods or foods I previously created, the app is useless.

### 1/5 — Very poor scanning

*2026-05-23*

So far one product I tried worked in the barcode scanner. Search seems to be very USA based. It needs more/better nutrition database integration.

### 1/5 — Won’t let me complete assessment

*2026-05-12, version 7.1.1*

Won’t let me complete assessment

### 1/5 — No Apple health sync

*2026-01-10, version 7.1.1*

A basic feature. I have years worth of data I was hoping could be synced to this for tracking my sodium and I have to manually enter it in as it doesn’t sync with Apple health. I also already track water intake, weight and yet you need to enter all this info to start using this app. Seems like a feature that should have been included day one. I made my own app to sync water intake within a weekend so this isn’t difficult to do.

### 1/5 — Extremely hard to navigate

*2025-09-10*

No clear instructions on how to use. Barcodes do not all scan. Foodstuff mainly from USA Wish I had not bothered paying for the scanning option.

### 1/5 — Bar code scan feature incredibly limited

*2025-08-13, version 7.1.0*

Maybe it's because I'm from Canada, but not only did I have to pay to even try out the bar scan feature, but then after paying I discovered that it hardly recognizes any of the basic grocery items I'm trying to record. I wanted the BP monitoring and better Cholesterol tracking I had researched this app to have, but now it's looking like I'll need to dish out even more money to go premium with MyFitnessPal as at least it's bar code feature for foods tracking is workable.

### 1/5 — Lost Data

*2025-03-03, version 7.0.5*

One day about 6 weeks ago, ALL my collected information completely disappeared. I contacted the developer and heard NOTHING BACK. It took me nearly 2 years to collect preferences and meals. I NEED this fixed 😡

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Sent me to porn site

*2026-06-15, version 7.1.1*

I’ve used this for over a year. Today the search stopped working. Said 0 results for egg. Tried to download again the same. The only option was an ad in the search bar that took me to a porn site for $399. I eliminated the app the ads were getting to be off color anyway.

### 5/5 — Great APP!!!

*2026-04-24, version 7.1.1*

It makes it easy to keep track of my sodium intake. Easy to use and the price is right for what I want to use it for. 😍

### 5/5 — Latest update breaks UI

*2025-05-01, version 7.0.8*

The latest update has broken functionality. There is no way to copy. Snacks are no longer displayed. The changes make the App basically unusable unless you want to enter everything from scratch.

### 5/5 — This one works!

*2023-08-13, version 5.6.3*

Maybe it’s the easy interface. Or the ease of entering each item of food. Or using the barcode reader option. Or the fact that I get sodium levels. Whatever the reason, I’ve logged in every meal (except two) in the last three weeks.
And best of all- my blood pressure numbers are in a happier place.

### 5/5 — Makes life easy

*2023-04-02, version 5.6.3*

This seems to be the best app for tracking sodium (and other elements if needed). Works quickly, gives you lots of options to find and record foods. Making “Meals” is an easy way to group frequently used foods and ingredients, like a “coconut milk mocha”. I have to keep my sodium down to 1500mg/day or less. This app supports me in keeping an eye on all my foods and ingredients.

### 5/5 — My dash diet app

*2023-01-27, version 5.6.3*

This app is excellent . It is easy to use and has all the details it needs.

### 5/5 — Perfect for low sodium diet

*2022-11-05, version 5.6.3*

Started using app to track sodium - it’s so easy that I am now using it as my daily food log.

### 5/5 — Love this app!!!

*2022-10-21, version 5.6.3*

I was recently told by my dr that I needed to go on a low sodium diet. I was trying to figure it out when I came across this app. It does everything for you. So easy to use!!

### 5/5 — Needed to track sodium

*2022-10-08, version 5.6.3*

Health emergency and needed a way to track intake. This app is excellent. You can scan barcodes on foods and the info pops up. Also quite the database of your favorite restaurants.

Easy to use. Been perfect.

### 5/5 — Best App for DASH diet help

*2021-05-01, version 5.2.1*

Makes it so easy to see how and what you need to do with your goals to lower salt intake and lose weight. Incredibly helpful. So thankful for this app!
