## Newest reviews (1 of 21)

### 1/5 — Don’t bother: It’s not downloadable

*2020-03-02, version 1.0.8*

Tried to download it through Wi-fi: nothing.
Tried to download it through my personal data (4G and excellent coverage): nothing.
Equally temperamental, like the website.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Awful since update

*2025-08-31, version 2.1.2*

Was great before the update. Can’t get rid of notifications (the red number) by any means possible. Slow, dreadful app now.

### 1/5 — Absolutely terrible for emails

*2025-07-27, version 2.1.1*

Not sure if it’s an app or just a webpage. Can’t do much with the email functionality.

### 1/5 — update doesn’t launch

*2025-07-06, version 2.1.0*

not sure what the point of this is?

### 1/5 — Updates don’t update

*2025-06-14, version 2.1.0*

I keep getting a note that tells me there’s an update available but when you click through there is no update.
My notifications on the app on my phone don’t clear so it looks like I’ve got 2,500 unopened emails even though I have none. It’s very irritating.

### 1/5 — Useless mail app

*2024-09-26, version 2.0.23*

Mail failed to open on app. So thought I’d delete it and reinstall. Now says can’t contact server and doesn’t work at all! On IPhone incoming email seems ok but when you try to reply or write, says invalid address!??
Had this email address forever but unless something happens shortly will have to go to a reliable provider.

### 1/5 — Poor on iPhone

*2024-04-25, version 2.0.22*

I have had this app on my iPhone for several years. It is absolutely hopeless. It does not reliably open up and regularly stalls or fails to open at all to give access to emails. Even the main website on my laptop has substantially deteriorated and has regular glitches. It also regularly blocks emails sent to me which don’t even make it to spam folder so I’m forever having to manually whitelist them. I use my doctors.org.uk email for so much it’s too late to stop using it unfortunately.

### 1/5 — Useless on mobiles

*2023-12-08, version 2.0.18*

The privacy page just keeps flashing on

### 1/5 — Awful optimisation

*2021-05-14*

Pretty terrible app for reading emails. Can’t handle most attachments, email’s displayed in portrait (and often landscape) are simply cut in half and can’t even scroll within the email to see whatever is to the right of the cutoff.

### 1/5 — On a par with usual dnuk software

*2021-05-11, version 2.0.0*

Uninstalled

### 1/5 — Needs more work

*2020-03-03, version 1.0.8*

Agree with other review - downloaded via WiFi while abroad, hoping this would be the solution to my Doctors.net.uk email problems - always an issue when on WiFi . It won’t open.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 4/5 — Notifications from app on receiving an email?

*2020-05-27, version 1.0.530*

Would it be possible to add notifications to appear from the application whenever we get an email?

I use iPhone Mail app for Doctors.net.uk email but i have to constantly open the mail app myself and refresh it a few times to see if I have received any emails. This causes me to be behind my emails.

Thank you. Please let me know if this is possible.

Or if there is a solution for the iphone mail application notifications problem.

### 4/5 — Needs a tweak

*2020-03-02, version 1.0.8*

Regularly use iPad in landscape orientation with my keyboard. This app would be perfect if it could accommodate that orientation!

### 3/5 — Update?

*2025-12-10, version 2.1.3*

Firstly the concept and most of the content and function of the website is good and the email really good.
However updating the App isn’t( as far as I can see) possible.
Pressing the “Update” button when prompted by the website simply takes you to the App which has no update facility!
Must be a workaround somewhere?

### 3/5 — Lots of potential

*2023-01-25, version 2.0.13*

I really like their email service.
However with the app once you open a attachment of the email on the iphone or ipad you cant get back to the initial email as the cross to exit or ok disappears off the screen! Also some attachments dont open fully on the app or just appear as random symbols!
Was hoping to use this as a main email service however these issues limit that!

### 3/5 — Landscape mode?

*2020-03-13, version 1.0.8*

I use email on my iPad and the current app does not rotate into landscape mode, it would be great if this could be sorted since I like the app otherwise.

### 2/5 — Glitchy and crashes

*2025-09-08, version 2.1.2*

Never easy to open. Takes ages to load. Often glitches and logs out for no reason. Altogether poor user interface

### 2/5 — Update again?

*2025-08-22, version 2.1.2*

Each time I use the app it says there is an update, which there isn’t. Seems a basic thing to fix but has been happening for a few weeks now.

### 2/5 — The interface needs work

*2022-01-15, version 2.0.6*

There’s no swipe action to quickly delete messages. The back button that appears at the left top when an email is opened, is positioned too close to the iPhone 13 time indicator and so it becomes a dead link.
There’s no option in the email screen to sort emails in any preferred option other than the default set in settings, mainly the chronological order

### 2/5 — Good idea, shame about the function

*2021-12-09, version 2.0.6*

This is a good idea, as it gives quick access to the website. However it seems to get stuck especially if you try to use it for emails( which I have been forced to do as the apple mail no longer seems to recognise Doctors.net email).
Please remove email issues either on this app or connecting with others

### 2/5 — Keeps freezing

*2021-10-13, version 2.0.3*

This app keeps freezing. This has happened four times since first downloading it a month ago. The inbox folder appears empty- It sorts itself out if I delete the app and reinstall it but this is becoming tedious now.
I thought this app would be the solution to the fact that that doctors.net in general seems to play up when used within both the Outlook and apple Mail systems on my iphone, but it isn’t.
I am having to gradually move for my gmail to be my main personal email as that seems to be the only way forward sadly.
