### 3/5 — Missing information

*2026-06-14, version 11.7.4*

I have visited my Novant Health pcp at CarolinaFamilyPractice&SportsMedicine at least twice since 1/1/26 & there is no evidence I was there.
I never received an After Visit Summary nor Clinic Notes that I can see and print for my records.
Please investigate and correct.
Every nickname I choose is taken.

So initially I was super nervous. New surgeon same procedure….. all I’m gonna say is everyone reassuring that I was in good hands and it was nothing to worry about. The staff is amazing. We listen to my concerns to make sure I was comfortable needed everything that needed to be done in time. I got dropped off and checking all the way up to my surgery and post surgery. Gonna say is I don’t wanna have to come see them again, but I would if I had to. If you know what I’m saying no more Surgery lol this is a good hospital. Good staff and I was treated with great

### 5/5 — Thanks for your Support

Just want to thank the staff at Duke FMC for your support and service concerning my Health and Well Being Needs. Especially during stressful times, getting me in for a quick appointment to see one of the Docs, instead of having to wait a long time. Thanks for what you do and I feel like I am in good hands.

Sincerely,

Carl

It’s important information and convenience

### 4/5 — Go the EXTRA MILE

*2026-05-08, version 11.6.4*

Duke Children’s is truly an awesome place. The staff is always fun, energetic, and genuinely concerned about the kids. They take the time to get to know the children and actually remember them, which makes such a difference for families during stressful times.

The only reason I did not give a perfect score is because I think it would be wonderful if the lobby offered a complimentary coffee station with a few light snacks and maybe even an attendant. I know there is a small store available, but the coffee from the machine is not very fresh and it is expensive. This week alone, I met a family who wanted something to eat or drink but simply could not afford it.

Families already travel long distances, pay copays, cover gas expenses, and deal with so many additional costs that come with medical care. On top of that, many children have to fast before appointments or procedures, so when they are finally able to eat again, an extra snack option beyond crackers would really help. Parents are often exhausted from long drives, late nights, and early mornings, and something as simple as fresh coffee and small snacks could go a long way in making families feel cared for and supported.

Just a thought from someone who truly appreciates all the wonderful care they provide.

### 1/5 — Charges without permission

*2026-07-03, version 11.7.4*

They add charges for screening questions for checkups when there shouldn’t be a copay. They also do not inform you or give you an option to decline.

### 1/5 — Wants You to Answer Same Questions for Multiple Related Visits

*2026-06-22, version 11.7.4*

The app allows check in with Face ID. Other My Duke on line entries do not or I cannot figure out. Hard to find things on the app/website. The app/website wants you to check in three times for related oncology visits. Overall difficult to use.

### 1/5 — DukeMyChart unread by Health care providers/Excessive emails

*2026-06-02, version 11.7.4*

When I have an appointment I will recieve at least 10 emails telling me to complete items on MyChart, like checking in, notifying them of my location, reminders of the appointment, updating my information, etc.,
but when I sent a note to Dr. Gehtman about my treatment, in this case about Wegovy, he never read it prior to my appointment. These Doctors are overworked I think. I also wonder if Duke is selling my personal information because I'm usually deluged with ads on my email right after a visit.
In addition, it seems strange that I should pay $6000 (roughly) per year in premiums to see the Doctor once or twice annually, so I don't see the value in DukeMed, but maybe that's a function of the State Employees Health plan..When I queried Dr. Gehtman about this he told me that people spend 90% of their healthcare money in the last 10% of their life, which I did not feel like that addresses the issue.
Please respond to this as a check to see if anyone reads the MyChart.
Really trying to help,
Erich

### 1/5 — Dead ends

*2026-04-27, version 11.6.4*

My experience with My Duke Health has been frustrating. For example, I just received an email for an upcoming appt with a link to do registration tasks. However the link, when followed, offered no way to complete the tasks this is not the only time this has happened. A phone number for rescheduling an appt with a recorded voice answering was a dead end as well. Very frustrating

### 1/5 — Updating medications

*2026-03-04, version 11.6.4*

I forgot to mention a new blood pressure medication from my UNC doctor. How do I get it added? A mystery. Too complicated

### 1/5 — Horrible!!!

*2026-01-29, version 11.6.4*

I have yet to ACTUALLY receive any responses from ANY of my providers when I have asked about issues with my care. I don’t even know if they are notified that they have gotten my message. I left my oncologist a message over 4 MONTHS AGO & haven’t heard back from them. When I called, they had no idea I had even sent them a message.
THIS IS STUPID.

### 1/5 — Difficult to navigate

*2026-01-27, version 11.5.2*

Not user friendly, it's complicated to use.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2026-01-21, version 11.5.2*

Duke Health is all about the money. I have great Dr. but now Duke has to control everything not good

### 1/5 — dont answer

*2026-01-06, version 11.5.2*

I been asking about my son none if the drs answer back

### 1/5 — Difficult

*2025-12-21, version 11.5.2*

NOTHING HAS IMPROVED. IT JUST KEEPS GETTING MORE AND MORE DIFFICULT TO USE.

Lacks common sense, lacks general important contact phone numbers to your doctors. No customer service contact info for your doctors.

### 5/5 — My Duke Health is a great app for health

*2026-07-17, version 11.7.4*

I recently tried to consolidate my health information. I was able to get Duke and My Atrium put together.

I have to call about MyCart (for the fifth time). I decided to go to a local doctor for one branch of my health. I can’t see that doctor. Duke My Health has always been great!!!

### 5/5 — Pretty well made

*2026-07-02, version 11.7.4*

I will say that the website is pretty well made and allows you to check in your visitation, including having all your information about your medical records. Only issue really is the “making an appointment” or requesting one for the next check up over the app.

### 5/5 — Complete Confidence.

*2026-06-28, version 11.7.4*

I am so grateful and feel at ease and confident in the Duke Health system. I have been there for foot surgeries and Cardiac visits, studies, tests, and ultimately open heart surgery. Two stents, aortic valve replacement, and follow up care including cardiac rehab referral. I am especially grateful as I live 3 hours away and this is the best care for me so worth every road minute. The health care people are so awesome and terrific and deliver mind, body, and soul care. I am so grateful for the Duke Health system .

### 5/5 — Duke Cancer Center- Brain and Spinal Metastasis department

*2026-06-13, version 11.7.4*

Dr. John Carlo Barr-Neurosurgeon / Dr. Alder- Thoracic Oncology/ Dr.Kirkpatrick- Radiation Oncology and Nurse Navigator, Bonnie

My husband’s team at Duke Cancer Center- Brain and Spine Metastasis department are exactly what we were looking for with his diagnosis. My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (adenocarcinoma with bone metastasis) on 5/22. We reached out to Duke after our initial oncologist immediately started off with questionable actions. He told us that there would be a 14- day hold on requesting his biopsy tissue to be tested for mutations and bio-markers that determine his treatment options. I immediately researched this and discovered that this rule did not apply to my husband.. He did not have Medicaid or Medicare and there had been an exemption for outpatient procedures since 2018. It took multiple days to get him to order the test—-then more delays while it was tested. I can’t imagine how many patients have had to delay treatment due to this incompetency. We requested a second opinion at Duke. Initially, we were given an appointment that we felt like was not conducive to my husband’s diagnosis. I reached out with my concerns and immediately we were scheduled to be seen by a team of oncologists since his diagnosis involved multiple body symptoms. Each provider we saw that day (Dr. Alder, Dr. Barr, Dr.Kirkpatrick) provided the person -centered care all patients deserve—instead of a number. Their collaboration was impressive and gave us the confidence we needed during this horrific time in our life. We are confident in our decision to be seen by their team as our primary providers and have their care plans implemented at our local cancer center. Since the first appointment, we have experienced wonderful follow through with their Nurse Navigator, Bonnie. We had imaging done today and already have a virtual appointment with Dr. Barr on Monday morning to go over the results. Bonnie Is an absolute angel to our family. She provides authentic care and her expertise is unmatched! Her communication is consistent and her patience is truly appreciated as we try to navigate our new reality. The diagnoses alone is difficult and overwhelming. She Is the first professional, alongside the Brain and Spine Metastasis team that has followed through with what she says without making us feel guilty for asking questions. We would give anything to have someone like her at our local center. She is patient and understanding with our nerves and fears being all over the place! I know that she is going to help us navigate this horrific earth shattering diagnoses. I’m terrified, but I know that she will make this new reality for us as smooth as it possibly could be.
We highly recommend this team!

Leanne and David Robbins
