This is a great app! Could you do a UK version? The fact that it is customisable is one of its best features.

Images and customization options are great!  But image viewing design needs some work. Expect to swipe left / right to view images backward / forward and tap to repeat word. Instead, all you can do is tap image to move forward. No repeat; no back etc. Frustrating for little ones.

In got this app for my 2 year old and it has really helped him with saying more words!  There are just a few bugs/improvements that could be made.

1) When editing a previously made customized flash card, the recording will disappear and have to be re recorded.  (For example if you change the thumbnail picture then the recording will not be there even though it still plays back on the editing screen)
2) After making or editing custom flash cards the sound goes way down when you go back into the flash cards.  If you exit the app and go back in the sound goes back to normal.  
3) It would be nice if you could go back to the last flash card.

I want to create a customized list using the existing cards, but I can’t figure it out! I tried making a copy of the list, but I got stuck in a loop telling me to name it, but not allowing me to. I am frustrated!

I bought this to introduce my 15 month old to some new words, and she really enjoys looking at the pictures. However,

1) it's very American and there's not an option to make it British English (nor does it state it's American in the description)

2) I can't get it to record my voice. If this feature worked, then I could rename the American items.

I have emailed tec support so hopefully they will be able to rectify point 2.

Love the idea of customizing cards but the microphone won't work on my iPhone 5, it has access to the microphone but I can't get it to do anything when I click record. Very disappointed!

I love this app. The kids can't move on to the next card until the recording is done saying the word, big deal for me as my kids would just tap through. I like how things are categorized. If you want basic animals, you can find them in the first words section. And then you can expand with dog and cat breeds. The ONLY problem I have with this app is that I cannot get the microphone to work with it to make customized cards. The app has permission in my privacy settings, so I'm stumped. I contacted their help email and have not heard back and it's been about a week.

As an SLP working with preschool through fifth grade students, I use this app on a daily basis.  I love that I've been able to create many custom categories and have been able to share these with colleagues.  There are a few things I would love to see in this app to make it really great. #1 ability to go back to a previous picture, sometimes my students tap the picture too quickly and there is NO way to go back. #2 ability to turn off verbal reinforcement in game mode, I have a few kids who repeat everything and it's hard to get them to stop repeating 'super' or 'you did it', plus it gets a bit annoying. #3 this app seems to freeze quite a bit, often we will need to tap an icon 8-10 times before we can select the category. #4 a way to keep data on items named or identified correctly. That's my wish list for this app!

I was very excited about this app for my child with special needs. When I tried to make a custom word list it would not allow me to access photos on my device despite giving the app permissions to do so. I have already paid for the app so this is a big disappointment. When I tried to email support it bounces back as an unknown email address.

I would love to customize my own flash cards but the microphone won't work. It did once and now it won't. It has access to my microphone but won't record anything. Pretty much a waste of 1.99 and my time.

I was tired of my daughter pressing one of the pay categories so I bought the full version. Within minutes of its being installed, we were being pan-handled. Said no.  Closed the app. Opened it later and pan-handled for a *different* app. Disgusting.

I was looking for flash cards for my two year old.  The vehicles show a segway and a limosine.  The cats list bengal cat and sphinx.  I don't care about the words, but the pictures are of things my son doesn't see in daily life. So they are not meaningful words to learn to speak.

Not good. Difficulty of words differs a lot, without a way to select. E.g., you get Doll, and then Building Blocks. Kids will be either bored or frustrated, half the time each.

Great app.  But I can’t make my own cards.  It won’t open up my photos to let me choose the pictures.  This was the main reason I purchased it.

Have had this app for several years now and it is still the best of its kind. I have been through hundreds of apps possibly thousands of reading apps and this app is simple and yet so effective way to get Kids to read. 
You can customise the categories, font size and colour, add your own photos and words. Also speed. All our kids have used it over the years. It has helped our three year old to read very well.
Great app all round.

My toddler son LOVES this app so much! We had a lot of fun taking pictures around the house and making them into flash cards. I also like how you can change the settings to play games. I would recommend.

I am using this for my 2yr old grandchild to tell me the name of the object on the flash card instead of the words on the card.  I was able to delete what words she wasn't ready for.  I hope this helps someone!
