### 5/5 — Super introduction to the orchestra for kids

*2012-10-22, version 1.0*

A very engaging and entertaining app which will keep the kids busy for hours.....and teach them the fundamentals of the instrument groups in an orchestra. Musical excerpts are judiciously chosen and the 'voices' of the composers add some humour!

### 5/5 — Lovely engaging app

*2012-10-20, version 1.0*

Great illustrations, a friendly style & easy to navigate - engaged our six year old with no difficulty & still plenty to read / listen to a second & third time around! Quite a lot of music, especially if you select the "longer piece for solo instruments" choices (presumably all from the Naxos catalogue)

### 5/5 — Brilliant!

*2012-10-20, version 1.0*

Beautifully illustrated, loads of fun and a great introduction to music for children (and adults too!). Tormod the Troll is a work of genius - kept the kids absorbed for hours.

### 1/5 — No sound help

*2012-10-26, version 1.0*

There is no sound to the music help?

### 3/5 — My First Ochestra

*2012-11-20, version 1.0*

It is very good except that the last instrument in a family doesn't have any sound,if this can be fixed it will be excellent.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2016-01-27, version 1.0.6*

Well made app that really arouses interest. Well targeted towards young children.

### 5/5 — Great music app

*2015-12-20, version 1.0.6*

Our 3 year old loves this app, and it's been one of the best musical introductions that we've found for her.

### 5/5 — Fantastic.

*2015-03-10*

This is the only app I have ever reviewed.

My 20 month old boy is obsessed with this wonderful app. He can now identify ALL the instruments of the orchestra (except the viola). He literally spends hours with it.

There is so much TLC that must have gone into creating this app. So many well chosen music clips, illustrations, and sound samples. So many little details and extra hidden features. I really can't say enough about this app. It's an accomplishment the developers should be very proud of.

I realize one might suspect I'm not a real reviewer. I am. I promise. You can google me.

### 5/5 — Great fun!

*2014-11-16, version 1.0.6*

What fun! My 4- yr old just loves this app. There are some instruments that she visits again and again, and some that she loves dancing to. She's getting good at conducting too! Fun and educational - great!

### 5/5 — Sound is back!

*2014-11-11, version 1.0.3*

Sound is back after we downloaded new system update. This app is wonderful. Kids can already name the instruments and sometimes recognise them in a piece of a classical music!

### 5/5 — Introduction for all ages

*2013-10-12, version 1.0.1*

Although this app has been designed so that 4 year olds can enjoy it, I think it would appeal to anyone interested in exploring the orchestra.

It has dozens of pertinent musical examples, is well designed and organised. The information is accurate and easy to comprehend.

There is plenty here to satisfy adult curiosity, too. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — This app is amazing!

*2013-07-11*

I am a music teacher and I am always finding new ways to engage the children in learning about the orchestra instruments and classical music. This app told a wonderful story, explained with great detail every instrument in the orchestra, as well as played sound clips of each so strumming individually, in its instrument family and as a whole in the orchestra. The children were engaged through out the entire lesson plus there are extra activities where the kids could take a Listening quiz! I will definitely recommend! And share with my son when he's older. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Great fun!

*2012-10-29, version 1.0*

A very informative app with lots of information and music, easy to understand and so much fun! The troll takes you through a journey of the orchestra, trying out different instruments on the way and telling you all about them. Nearly everything seems to be interactive so the text can be read to you, the instruments all play music and the characters do different things. Lots of fun illustrations and facts make this a delightful app for all ages.

### 5/5 — Superb

My kids love this beautifully illustrated app. It seems a lot of effort has gone into making it a complete, deep and polished educational experience. Very high quality and easily worth the asking price.
