Doesn’t clearly indicate when a state doesn’t recognize non-resident permits. Really needs some cleaning up and being brought up to at least 2020-era interface standards. ### 3/5 — Don’t allow me to edit my payments or address *2023-11-10, version 4.0.14* This app would be much better if it gave me an option to edit my payments & address instead of calling a number. ### 2/5 — Won’t let me sign in *2022-08-11, version 4.0.9* App never allows me to sign in. I can sign into the website but email and password not recognized on app sign in. Would be nice to access the app since it seems pretty resourceful ### 2/5 — Unable to add permit expiration *2021-08-27, version 4.0.6* When trying to add permit expiration dates in the provided field, the keyboard doesn’t populate. All other fields such as “notes” or “permit #” populate the keyboard to type in info but not the expiration date. So I can’t use the “add reminder “ feature. Please fix. Running latest iOS version ### 4/5 — App Log In Issues *2021-04-20, version 4.0.4* The app recently logged me out, and after trying to log back on with my correct information it’s not allowing me access. I can only log in via internet browser, which can be time consuming in an emergency, or when trying to look up laws and other app information. Is there something going on with the app? Or can this be fixed? It’s been an issue for over a week now. ### 2/5 — Can’t get it to work *2021-04-12, version 4.0.4* Just signed up-got my login info. Entering it exactly as prescribed. They update it to fix the multiple problems yet new problems occur. Among the worst app ever. Hopefully their services are not similar. Time to look for a different provider. It should Include what to say when you call 911 and what to say to the cops!! ### 3/5 — Login Issues *2020-06-05, version 3.4.15* I tried logging into the FLP app and have been unsuccessful. Whenever I try logging in, it says; it could not contact the server please try again. I have deleted and re-downloaded the app more than once. The issue is only with this app. My email address is visible on the login page of the app and I was able to log into the FLP website. Need assistance. UPDATE To the developer response; On 05/18/20, I contacted customer support and I reached a representative name Mrs. Lewis who was sort of rude and constantly talking over me after she asked why was I calling. So she didn’t understand my reason for calling. Once she settled down to listen she was able to reset my account password. After the password reset I was able to create a new password and was successful logging in and out. I haven’t occurred any issues since then. Even during the Coronavirus Epidemic I did get a response from customer support which was a plus because you rarely received phone support from other businesses during this epidemic. Thank you FLP. ### 3/5 — Exact same app as CCW *2018-07-27, version 3.4* I’ve had the CCW app and LegalHeat on my phone for a while. After downloading this app post membership, I found that is the exact same app as the CCW app with a different name. ### 4/5 — Login issues *2018-07-15, version 3.4* App won’t let me login, and attempts ended up locking out my web access for a bit (which was working fine). Also, displays password in the clear, which is very bad! Update: the last update now hides the password, but it still won’t let me login with credentials known to be good on the website. Update 2: Worked with the developer, found the issue (certain non-alphabetical character), he’s working to fix. Updated score accordingly. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Poor app poor SERVICE *2026-02-13, version 4.1.5* I definitely do not recommend anyone to use My FLP app. It is the junkies app. I’m pretty sure a seven-year-old with ChatGPT can build a much better app than what this firearm insurance provider gives you. Now let’s talk about firearm insurance coverage.-This company mentions they have and will answer any questions as a member. I have posted a question July 2025 now it is February 2026 and that question was never answered after multiple follow ups throughout the last year. They are quick to respond when you want to upgrade your membership. But anything else is literally the most poorest service. They do not care about you and I can’t imagine if there was an actual emergency. Please look at other insurance providers if you require firearm legal protection. ### 1/5 — Server *2025-12-07, version 4.1.5* Server not working right now !!! Now I can’t log in, even though I verified my login works on the website.
