You suppose to set these units up on 2.4g wireless with your phone connected to it that wireless. The smart WiFi config to add a unit stop working with a iOS 14+. Prior issues like iOS drop downs are hidden on adding accessories haven’t been fixed in years. I have a old non-updated iOS 10 device to do the initial setup to add the device to the account so the current app will work. The Smart connection did not work so I had to use the AP. It would be great if the manual was loaded and tips to connect to Alexa. Random misspelling errors would appear on the app, in addition to random Chinese characters. Really poor design too, pixelated icons and such. Will click on screen and app will be open but when you close the app and open again it will ask for log in again unlike on iphone it doesnt ask no more. Is there a way to get around it? Thanks ### 3/5 — History can’t be deleted *2018-09-28* The app works well and easy to use but there is a problem in that the history can’t be deleted even though it says in the supplied manual with the alarm system that it can be done. I contacted Fortress Security Store and they told me to delete the history from the alarm panel then delete the app and reinstall and it should be gone. This did not work and the history was not deleted from the app. So in time there will be a lot of data accumulated causing bloat to the app. Get this fixed in an update and I will update my review. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Customer service missing in action *2024-01-30* We have had our system for several years but six months ago we were no longer to receive texts from our system. After calling and leaving messages and emails we have decided there is no longer a Fortress Security System. I really liked their level of customer service but when they reps are telling you this is a known issue and “they are working on it” for over a year it’s hard to believe. There last update was over a year ago. It helps me and others in my home control it when coming home, and leaving. The list for sensors is just blank currently. ### 4/5 — Apple Watch App *2019-06-03, version 1.0.13* I don’t have any complaints about the app. It works as it suppose to. I wish there was an Apple Watch app so I can arm and disarm my alarm right from my Apple Watch instead of pulling out my phone finding the app and then going through the process. ### 3/5 — Problem with app *2023-06-09* I had the SO3 system for several years and was very dependable. Then we quit receiving push notifications on both my IPhone and my wife’s at the same time. I called support and the guy said he had never heard of this problem before. We deleted and reloaded the apps several times. We never had any problem other than push notifications. The support guy said he would check with his tech guys and get back. After several days of not hearing back I called again. The guy that answered remembered me and said he still did not have an answer. I sent an email with no reply and called several other times and nobody would ever answer like they did the first two times. (I am a little suspicious that they blocked my number) I was very courteous and accommodating whenever I called so I am thinking that they have a problem with the app and don’t know how to fix it. I bought a SkylinkNet system and I like it but the sensors are not as sensitive and the alarm only lasts for less than 10 seconds with no way to lengthen it. I would really love to get the Myfortress system to work but the support won’t help me anymore. ### 3/5 — Bugs *2021-04-25, version 1.0.15* My fortress security panel won’t connect to app the app closes by itself and won’t open back up. ### 3/5 — Scrolling wheel is Blank *2020-12-20, version 1.0.15* The app is very Nice ; However it’s been for a while now that the Scrolling Wheel is always Blank and this prevents you to choose the desired option ... However, when you go to a specific sensor to enable or disable, it’s a blank scroll wheel that does not let you see your options. This security system and its parts are not that cheap.
