Well it took them over 14 days to fulfill my order. Guess what. They said the free trial starts when you order the plan/phone. That’s FRAUD!! I paid for expedited shipping on 9-11-18 got my phone today 9-28-18 and they started charging me 9-25-18 before I even got my phone. That’s the same day the phone shipped to me. Now I’m noticing the phone is using data while sitting and not being used. Switched it to WiFi on my home network and it’s still using data. Hmmmmm.. I smell and huge class action law suit. Hope you guys fix this as I’m calling when customer service is open again. If it’s not I’m contacting a attorney to see if they wanna look into suing the pants off these guys. Also not making it easily known how to downgrade to free account so people will give up. That’s just bad on your part. It’s there but not listed as available accounts. I’ll prob ditch this phone for a more reputable company. Free or no free this is a scam company that preys on good people. ### 1/5 — Has your CEO use this app & service *2018-06-08, version 1.0* I wonder if your CEO Has used this app & service himself. This is a good case to be turned over to investigative teams at the news networks. It is shameful that US Sprint & AT&T are selling their services to resellers that are ruining their good name. 1. One never gets a live person except when buying the service 2. No live customer service, everything is done via email 3. The app My FP rarely works, like others have said you just get a blue bar with a blank screen. For those who claim they have been able to log in, consider yourself lucky. 4. If you want to update billing info or change your plan it must be done via MY FP app which doesn't work. In order to post this review, I must give it one star which it doesn't deserve. ### 1/5 — Unable to login *2018-05-31, version 1.0* Can’t login, make me think that my password is wrong, even it’s right. ### 1/5 — What happened *2018-05-14, version 1.0* I wanted to downgrade and I can’t find any link on your website, app, or anything. Am I being scammed? I don’t see anything on any screen. It just said my stuff is being processed for about a week and no updates. No way to see how much time I have to change my plan, pay. Nothing. Update the app please it doesn't work ### 1/5 — Just a blank screen *2017-10-28, version 1.0* Installed this "new" MyFreedomPop app on iOS 10.3 and opening it just shows a blue bar at top and a white screen. "Pull to refresh" shows the spinning indicator for a second and then it's still just a blank white screen. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — There really is something shady. *2021-04-02, version 1.0* WARNING: We signed up for a free plan. To sign up you have to enter your credit card info to cover possible overages. We were notified of a “mandatory account change” that will charge us 3.99 a month. There is no way to delete my account. They have my credit card and you can’t select the free plan. I also tried to delete my account or even my card. Nope, not an option. If it sounds too good to be true it really is. 😔Stay Away! ### 1/5 — They lock your phone *2020-12-29, version 1.0* I sing up for the free plan and I use it for one month as a back up phone, I’m using a factory unlocked iPhone SE but when I tried to use a different SIM card it won’t work I called to the new carrier I’m moving to and they said my phone is locked to the current carrier how’s that possible if my iPhone is factory unlocked now I have to call freedom pop and ask them if they can unlock my iPhone? Wow I think that’s illegal be careful stay away from freedom pop ### 1/5 — PLEASE FIX THE FREEDOM POP CALLING APP *2020-06-05, version 1.0* Please FREEDOMPOP work towards making calling and texting available from the native iPhone app and also for the meanwhile please update the garbage phone call app. The UI when you are in a call with someone looks terrible almost like 5 minutes was spent creating it. Please make the UI look more like iPhones dialer and the UI when you are calling someone different then the brown ugly background. If you can add themes to the app it would be nice ### 1/5 — Poor *2020-04-13, version 1.0* This is just a shortcut to their my.freedompop webpage. Not a real app. It doesn’t give real time updates on usage, so you’re better off loading the actual webpage in Safari browser. Not worth the space on your home screen ### 1/5 — Scam *2019-08-31, version 1.0* Seems like a scam. Won't work on my unlocked phone. It works over WiFi but it doesn't give me data or phone/texting. Made me create another account and pay more in setup of my new SIM card I ordered. Now it won't let me cancel either account and is probably going to charge me for both! ### 1/5 — 502 Bad Gateway *2019-08-13, version 1.0* This is all I get when trying to use this app!
