We keep a continual list and check/uncheck items each week, and add any new items we need. Sometimes I add an item, forgetting it’s already in the list, way at the bottom and checked off. The app then adds a quantity of 1 to that item but keeps it checked. If I’m adding an item already on the list, the app should uncheck the item and prompt me to ensure the quantity is correct. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve audited the list to find we have 4 loaves of bread checked off but none in the house— because we all added bread but never saw it active in the list when at the store, because “adding” isn’t the same as “unchecking.” ### 4/5 — Missing one essential item *2026-08-20, version 6.10.1* Unlike my Walmart app, this one doesn’t recognize which HEB store I’m in. There are two stores near me and I have to manually select the current store. How archaic! Let the app read my location. I have location services turned on for the app, so use it. ### 2/5 — Dairy *2026-08-09, version 6.9.0* None ### 3/5 — App is normally 5 stars but coupon clips aren’t working right now so 3 *2026-08-06, version 6.9.0* Normally this app is 5 stars for me, but right now I’m giving it 3 because the coupon clipping feature isn’t working properly and there are several shopping features that would make a HUGE difference. For wine, please add a filter for cork vs. screw top. Also, once wines are in the cart, they should automatically be grouped by type—reds, whites, rosés, etc.—and ideally show a bottle count. If I’m trying to qualify for a 6-bottle discount, I shouldn’t have to scroll through my entire cart repeatedly just to figure out how many bottles I have. We are throwing a party and I wanted to get a certain number of each type of wine and there’s not an easy way to count nor count by type, Today I spent almost 20 minutes doing this and eventually had to create a separate spreadsheet just to organize the wine in my cart. I’d also LOVE to see an AI feature built into the cart. For example, today I was building a charcuterie board. It would be incredibly helpful to ask, “What do I already have for my charcuterie board? Do I have duplicate cheeses? What am I missing?” Instead, I had to scroll through the cart over and over and eventually create a separate list. The app already has a great foundation. Smarter cart organization, working coupons, better wine filters, and an AI shopping assistant would easily bring it back to 5 stars for me. ### 5/5 — I love HEB Curbside *2026-08-02, version 6.9.0* I’ve had an awesome experience with Curbside pickup. It does absolutely nothing at my HEB. I live 10 min away and whether I select it or not, it takes the same amount of time. In fact, I am worse off when I select it. What’s the story HEB? ### 5/5 — So helpful *2026-07-24, version 6.8.0* I really enjoy the H-E-B app. I recently discovered using the list for in-store shopping and it is a game changer! There are a couple of things though. I wish Face ID would work to open pharmacy without having to go through all the steps. Also, when I am finished shopping my list, I wish there was a delete shopped items. Am I missing it? I know there is move items and then you check all the items you want to delete and then delete them. That's kind of a pain. Keep up the great work! Now, if we could just get H-E-B vanilla Greek yogurt back in stock. ### 2/5 — HEB BBQ *2026-07-20, version 6.8.0* Poor Service and taste! I had the only order in until Door Dash showed up and they put their order ticket on my order! Door Dash left with the wrong order! I had to wait while they remade my order! By the time I got home it was too late to do anything about it! I basically wasted $50. Ribs were overcooked, dry and had so much Korean BBQ sauce on them you couldn’t eat them! It was a complete waste of $50! I am very disappointed!! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — This is a review for their prices. *2026-08-21, version 6.10.1* Yall claim to be so about the community of Texas and act like you like people but yall are just another corporation honestly, the prices have been rising every two weeks for years now and yall just won't stop. You can stop, you choose not to. It's not "inflation" anymore it's just greed and I'm sick of it. I mean quite frankly target used to be known for expensive groceries, now I can make the same order over there PLUS a big box of diapers and spend less on my weekly grocery haul. This is getting ridiculous. Y'all need to stop. You do not care about the community who have kids to feed, and themselves to feed so they can stay healthy and strong to get to their jobs that pay for your millions upon millions you profit. And let's talk about curbside. I'm always missing items and I'm tired of contacting the store about it because they always have this "idc" attitude. Like "oh we didn't give you stuff you paid for? Oh well just come back and get it then" your prices are out of hand and tell me why curbside keeps packs of water bottles outside. THIS IS TEXAS. ITS SUMMER TIME. LIKE HELLOOOO????? Idc if they're in the shade that's no excuse, i never saw cases of water outside before curbside existed so i know it's possible to keep it all inside where the AC is, I don't buy yalls water bottles anymore because of it I make sure to buy non heb brand stuff. ### 1/5 — Never works *2026-08-19, version 6.10.1* App never works for me ### 1/5 — Hate the new coupon layout *2026-08-17, version 6.10.1* Absolutely hate the update. The app was easy to browse now it’s more time consuming. Super disappointing since the HEB app was already terrible. You can’t read or leave reviews on items, they charge products more for pickup, and the pickup times are limited when other stores can complete an order in under 2hrs. ### 1/5 — New Coupon UI is bad *2026-08-10, version 6.9.0* This new update has made using the coupon functionality a huge challenge. It now takes twice the amount of time to view coupons and if you scroll down too much the app starts to lag. This change in the UI is a backwards decision. This app will also give your product suggestions, like dried blueberries, and after adding to cart, will later tell me that the item isn’t t sold at this store. It was the apps suggestion so why suggest??? I can’t get the pharmacy app to work.
