## What is My Heart Log?

My Heart Log is a personal health journal for people living with heart failure, an LVAD, or a heart transplant. Select your profile and the app adapts to track what matters for your condition. Keep a private record of daily readings, view trends over time, and share PDF reports.

Your Personal Health Journal
Log your daily vitals, pump parameters (for LVAD users), and symptoms quickly. Choose between a guided step-by-step entry mode or a traditional form view.

Track What Matters
Record weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and personal notes. LVAD users can log pump parameters including speed, flow, PI, and power. Track symptoms like fatigue, dizziness, and swelling with severity levels.

See Your Trends
View your data over time with clear charts. Filter by date range, time of day, and specific metrics to spot patterns in your readings.

Stay Consistent
Set AM and PM reminders to match your routine and track your daily logging streaks at a glance.

Private by Design
No account required. Your data stays on your device by default, with optional iCloud sync across your Apple devices.
You can also choose to write entries to Apple Health for use with your other health apps. We never share your
information with third parties.

Share When You Need To
Export your entries as a PDF report for your healthcare team or send a quick summary via text message.

Customizable
Set personal accuracy checks for warnings when readings are outside your normal range. Choose which symptoms to track, customize your dashboard metrics, and reorder entry sections to match your workflow.

My Heart Log is a personal journaling tool and is not intended to provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your healthcare provider with questions about your health.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-05-18

- Two-week (2W) date range on the Trends page, now the default.
- Calculated MAP shown alongside blood pressure on entry cards (Heart Transplant and Heart Failure profile.
- Email a copy of your PDF report straight from the export screen — save a default recipient in Settings, with an optional shared password for protected PDFs.
- A friendly nudge in Settings if your shared email password hasn't been changed in over six months.
- New onboarding step to set up your default email recipient.

Improvements:
- Threshold warnings are now called "Accuracy Checks" — a clearer way to think of them as personal data sanity checks, not clinical advice.
- Default accuracy ranges widened so they're less likely to flag normal everyday variation (your existing customized ranges are preserved).
- Accuracy indicators use a calmer blue info icon instead of an orange warning, and tapping an info icon on an entry now explains the range.
- Trends BP chart reordered to Systolic, Diastolic, MAP.
- Apple Health permission prompt reworded to match the journaling tone of the app.
- PDF exports now include a footer on every page noting these are personal journal entries, not a clinical record.

Fixes:
- Reminders no longer re-fire after an iCloud settings sync.
- The Done button on Clinic Questions now saves any typed question before closing.
- The app icon badge clears properly when you open the app from a reminder.
- Restored backups keep their original dates and iCloud sync info, so nothing duplicates after a restore.
- Restoring newer (v4) backups no longer fails with an "Invalid backup version" error.
- Onboarding remembers your profile choice when you go back and forward, and the "Notifications Disabled" banner hides correctly when toggled on/off.
- Apple Health sync errors are now shown in Settings → Apple Health instead of failing silently.
- Accuracy range fields snap back to safe values if you enter something outside the supported bounds.

### 1.2 Ready for Distribution — 2026-02-24

- Apple Health Integration — Optionally sync your journal entries (weight, blood pressure, temperature, pulse) to
Apple Health. Choose exactly which metrics to share, with full control in Settings.
  - Improved Clinic Questions — View question notes at a glance without tapping into edit mode. Tap answered questions
  to update notes anytime.
  - Dashboard Layout Update — Repositioned buttons for easier access to quick entry logging.
  - Bug Fixes — Fixed an issue where notes could be lost when marking a clinic question as answered.
