The built-in color patterns are mostly really ugly, you have to spend the time to make your own. And you have to sit outside your house and make your neighbors think you’re crazy testing out every light effect in real life, because if you try to use the app to preview what it’ll look like, you’ll just get the same left-to-right preview for most of the “effects” ### 2/5 — Lack of timers *2026-03-31, version 1.0.38* I want to set up the lights to automatically switch to different settings using various timers throughout the year, but the app arbitrarily limits me to 6 timers so I have to delete older ones for newer ones and then set them up again later. Please increase the available number of timers to like 20 or something like that please. ### 2/5 — Needs a calendar feature to plan ahead *2026-03-11, version 1.0.37* This app needs a calendar feature where you can plan certain dates/lights ahead of time. Not just a week out. It’s a clunky app but does the job. Could be better though. As long as you have a strong Wifi signal where the controller is located, the system works great. ### 2/5 — Won’t save settings *2025-09-13, version 1.0.27* Whenever I save sones in a custom scene the next day the zones aren’t actually saved. Very frustrating spending time to set it up only to have it back to default the next day. Also every time you play with a pattern you have to save it as a palette. Not anymore. The lights are on, I can’t turn them off at all, I can’t change the colors, patterns etc. I’ve reinstalled the app and it made no difference. The timer is switched off now and that makes no difference either. I’ve got lights on my house in colors that look ridiculous and I didnt choose. Even if I disconnect the wifi and Bluetooth they still stay on. Disaster ### 1/5 — Update & erase *2026-03-30, version 1.0.38* Every time I update the App it erases my saved favorites. After this update I lost all of my favourite saved patterns … the new provided preset patterns available have been reduced?!?! … there is no longer the large selection of patterns?!?!?! This wasn’t an update it was a downgrade! The support website leads to a fake/unavailabe website. Overall just glitchy app. ### 1/5 — Multiple devices *2025-09-30, version 1.0.30* I think the app is fairly easy to use it has step by step guides which is helpful but the most frustrating thing my wife and I have found is the app only works and saves on one device. My wife and I both have the app and if I make a custom pattern and save it on my phone and she wants to try it on hers or tweak it a little once it’s on she can’t because it’s only saved on my device not the app itself that we are both logged into.
