## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible setup

*2026-04-07, version 1.6.8*

I can’t get the WiFi to setup and when I click the drop down it shows nothing but autofill shows up on the upper left corner.

### 1/5 — Owner

*2025-10-18, version 1.6.7*

Please please don’t waste your money on this one! Trust me you will be very disappointed! Just look at all the bad reviews.

### 1/5 — Absolutely Garbage

*2025-08-21, version 1.6.7*

Junk product, device will not recognize in app, customer service is difficult and only responds at night and wants to force conversations to WhatsApp, fail to address issues and will not refund. We are on base device number two with the same issues and nothing has worked since purchase several months ago.

### 1/5 — Used to work great.

*2025-07-15, version 1.6.6*

Have an old eMacros driveway alarm and it used to work amazing. Now it alerts 5-10 mins after somebody passed thru. I purchased a new one thinking maybe the old one just defective but app wont even let me add a new one. App wont update. App simply keeps error out and not being able to add the one device makes all useless. And the device is great but the app is horrible and tried to contact customer service and to no avail.

### 1/5 — Receiver offline

*2025-06-22, version 1.6.6*

First setup worked fine. Months later, sensor no longer notifies phone. In the app, it says the receiver is offline and all options are greyed out, impossible to do anything. Very frustrated.

### 1/5 — App

*2025-06-20, version 1.6.6*

I find this app horrible if I could give it a zero I would. It rarely works. I have called the company. I get no response.

### 1/5 — Not Helpful Without Apple Watch Compatibility

*2025-02-07, version 1.4.9*

My husband got the driveway alarm since our cameras are too sensitive to accurately give us alerts. Since I have an Apple Watch, I can’t tell you the last time my phone wasn’t on silent. Without being able to get the notifications to my watch, I miss them since they come through silently on my phone, which I’m not paying attention to while I work from home. Having watch compatibility would bring this to at least 4 stars, but it’s essentially useless for me as is.

### 1/5 — Awful!

*2024-12-05, version 1.4.9*

You cannot add family members. You cannot use your email to log in to more than one device. The QR code you generate in the app is useless; it just starts an email to you when someone scans it. If you are alone and only have one device to use- this will work for you!

### 1/5 — Garbage app: Makes noise even when phone on DND!

*2024-08-13, version 1.4.8*

This app is OK for setting up the sensors, but it stinks for alerts. If you turn on notifications under iOS Settings, even with sound turned OFF, it makes sound. With sound turned OFF and Do Not Disturb turned on, it still makes noise! The only notification you can set and not get the noise is “badges”… which doesn’t help if you want to see the notifications. The hardware is so-so, but the app is really, really bad. Would not recommend.

### 3/5 — Update Made It Worse

*2025-05-15, version 1.6.3*

The app was always clunky and difficult to use, but the update made it worse. The distinctive alert was replaced with a common bing noise, and the app won’t let you change it. The app hangs in some areas, and it always says there’s an update until you click, then it says it’s up to date. I’m not sure there was much beta testing. I love the sensor, just not the app.

## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great driveway sensor

*2025-08-11, version 1.6.7*

Good product. Make sure your firmware is updated to latest version on your base if you’re experiencing a delay on phone notifications.

### 5/5 — Best one so far

*2025-06-01, version 1.6.6*

This is the 3rd brand I have tried and it has been the easiest to set up and has worked. I’ve been running it for about 4 months now. There is very little false alarms. Sometimes when it’s raining really hard. My drive way is right over 1/4 mile long and the sight path from the sensor and receiver is not clear and it still works great. I have two sensors coming down the driveway. The first one gives me time To get up and see who or what is coming down the driveway with out having to run. The 2nd one is closer to my house. Using two iam able to see if people are coming or leaving. I love that it has a home receiver and sends alerts to my phone aswell. Alot of times I’m outside. I also get alerts when I’m out of town or state! And the best part so far you do not have to pay for a subscription! Customer service is awesome too!

### 5/5 — Love this alarm

*2025-04-27*

Good job

### 5/5 — Works great! I get warnings on my phone

*2025-03-09, version 1.4.9*

I love this driveway alarm. I have three sensors around my property and I get alerts both on the receiver and my iphone. I can set each sensor to a different tone so I know which sensor is alarming. Distance between sensor and receiver is about 309’. No false alerts when properly pointed. Had great customer support too. I thought about upgrading from the HS002W but im not sure if any other versions have the alerts on the phone so im sticking with this setup. Love the solar charging. Highly recommend

### 4/5 — Hosmart driveway alarm.

*2024-05-17, version 1.4.5*

I like the app and the alarm. You could make this much better by allowing it to work with the Apple Watch.

### 3/5 — Waiting for an app fix

*2025-03-27, version 1.4.9*

I was told that there is an App issue keeping the motion sensors from alerting on my phone
