The other brand I have does this but apparently this one doesn’t. Pared it with the app. Lasted 5 months. One morning it showed “disconnected”. Unable to get it pared. Checked with Ivation, AT&T and Apple. Ivation has been very helpful and sent a replacement dehumidifier. The problem is not with them. The WiFi light continues to blink fast and will not go off. Is a fix in the works for the app? ### 3/5 — Wifi connectivity - misleading process *2022-08-25, version 1.0.6* When EZ mode doesn’t work, directions to put dehumidifier in AP mode and add manually don’t work. Upon selecting the device in the app does not put you in manual mode, but continues is EZ mode until it time out. After a dozen tries, I let the EZ mode time out whereupon the option to “Switch Pairing Mode” which then allows the phone to connect to the device’s unique network so connectivity can be completed. ### 3/5 — Can tell if it running when looking at the remote WiFi app *2021-11-16* I can’t tell if the humidifier is on or off from the WiFi app. ### 3/5 — Basic function only *2021-10-05, version 1.0.2* Basic function to view temp, humidity, and change settings. This is basic operational information that should be prominently displayed by the app. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Horrible *2025-11-07* No app should require you to log in just to control your appliance on a closed network. It randomly logs you out and you cannot log back in and connect with your appliance. Rendering your appliance useless and either stuck on or stuck off. ### 1/5 — Completely unusable. *2023-10-10, version 1.0.6* Cant get past pairing. Yes its a 2.4ghz network, yes it is in pairing mode, yes the app has all the permissions. Total waste of time. ### 1/5 — Antiquated Wi-Fi *2023-09-04, version 1.0.6* I would have to reprogram about 25 devices in order to split my network into different SSIDs to enable this app to use only the 24 band. The separate SSID concept is years out of date and even the cheapest Wi-Fi devices don’t require a specific network. Had I known about this shortcoming I’d have never bought the unit. Hopefully there will be an app update because otherwise the dehumidifier is a very good product. ### 1/5 — Useless *2023-07-24, version 1.0.6* App for my portable ac unit refuses to connect even though I have dual 5G and 2.4. Not worth the effort or disruption. ### 1/5 — Does not work *2022-09-18, version 1.0.6* This app is so completely broken that I have no idea how it has such a high rating. First, it’ll tell you that it’s going to ask permission for things like notifications or Bluetooth or whatever, but then it doesn’t do it. Next, automatic pairing simply does not work. The light on the dehumidifier was rapidly blinking, I was sitting less than 2 feet away, Bluetooth was on and authorized, but it couldn’t find the device. I went through the manual add process, which somehow found it, but now this app says my dehumidifier is off and none of the settings in the app match what the unit is showing. I was able to change the relative humidity setting, but the app still shows 30 (the unit shows what I set in the app), and I can tap the fan setting to turn up the fan, but the app still says it’s at level 1, so I can’t turn it back down. One of the main reasons I bought this model was for the wifi capability, but with how broken this app is, that feature is worthless. I ended up returning the dehumidifier because it leaked all over the place. This company obviously has some quality control issues. ### 1/5 — Unable to link google home *2022-06-12, version 1.0.5* Tried to add the app with google home but does not work. I forgot the account number and password, and I can not reset them. There is no option to find out my account number. There is only for the forgotten password, but I need the account number. I paid over $30 and will toss it. Couldn’t be happier with the performance even after a few years it’s still going strong. And because of where the building is and how the electrical power comes in there’s a lot of humidity with the underground lines. The beauty of this system is that it can run continuously and the line is long enough to go directly into a sink so it’s on continuously doing its job automatically. I have peace of mind because the app lets me know what the temperature in the room is what the humidity level in the room is and it has worked well for me totally recommend if you have humidity that is chronic and constant. ### 5/5 — Automated Pet Feeder *2020-11-22* So easy to use and made me feel comfortable leaving my pet at home during longer days at work and weekend get aways I love so much.
