It's hard to also know when a path has been cleared and what options you have for the next step. The only improvement is that you can select your next action ahead of time which is probably what makes the game easier now than before. However, when you finish a level, a stupid ad pops up about "movie world". To where you can't even see your gold stars. Every time. If I had wanted to buy that game, I would have. I finished all 5 levels w 3 gold stars, and THAT was when it said it would cost an additional .99 for level 6. I think that's wrong. Charge what you want for the game; don't add charges along the way! They must have fixed lev 6 by the time I got it, because it worked fine. I just hated the constant pop up and extra charge. Game play was fine, though. Another fun MKFP game. ### 1/5 — Nope. *2015-09-13* I've played the first 3 installments of the series, many times over, so imagine my delight when I discovered the 4th! Very disappointing. Not at all like the previous 3, and in fact I found this one a little confusing... Or maybe I just didn't like it, so I couldn't even get past the first few levels. I hope the developers re-do #4 to be like its predecessors. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Hate it when…. *2021-10-02* game 1 was great, game 2 was perfect, game 3 was also great and then they did what all great games do wrong. Trying to make it better they make it too complex and they lost what made it great in the first place, fun. The best games are simple and straight forward yet still challenging and thus fun. This game tries too hard and took all that away. Having to go back several times over to pick up what you need just makes it boring having to keep going back. I get it, now you have to start planning what you go back to in what order to get thru whatever challenge, sounds good. But ever hear “less is more?” the other three games were fantastic for this reason and to this day the only reason I own a iPad (ps PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE update 2 and 3 like you did 1) but every time I try 4 again I get bored and quit, just not fun… ### 1/5 — Huge Disappointment *2018-06-08, version 1.5* I was so excited to see a new release as I loved the other games, I bought it and what a huge disappointment! The graphics were awful - especially chapter 2. You couldn't even see where you needed to go next. Needs fixing now. ### 1/5 — Disappointing! *2017-03-22* This game is very different from the previous MKFP versions. This one is very slow and redundant. On mostly all the levels you are just gathering supplies and clearing obstacles. Rarely does a level have a farm, sawmill, or goldmine to help. There is no warehouse or treasury and anything else like that. Also, in Chapter 4, in the snow/winter setting, the dragonets that appear in the sky are the same color as the sky! You can barely see them to get rid of them. There are also no green circles to highlight obstacles you are able to clear; in this version the obstacles are barely highlighted at all. This game is extremely disappointing compared to previous versions.
