The app is very slow and often becomes frustrating to use. Aadhaar verification frequently fails with unexplained errors, making it difficult to complete even basic tasks. For a service used by millions of customers, the app should be much more reliable and responsive. It feels like the application needs significant performance improvements and better quality testing. LIC is a trusted organization, and its digital experience should reflect that. I believe LIC has the resources to build a much better app, but the current version falls far short of users’ expectations. ### 1/5 — Worst App *2026-07-13* I request the developers to use modern technologies and significantly improve this application. In its current state, the app feels extremely outdated and does not meet today's usability or performance standards. All policy details are available at your fingertips, making it quick and convenient to access important information anytime. The interface is simple, easy to navigate, and smooth to use. Overall, it is an excellent app that makes managing LIC policies much easier. Great job by the LIC team! ### 1/5 — Worst app ever- even a child could build a better app than this *2026-07-04* Earlier, I was using the old LIC Digital app, and it worked well. Then LIC launched this new app for the same purpose—but why, if the old one was working? Now the old app no longer works. I downloaded and registered on this new app as soon as it was released on the APP Store. It worked fine on the first day, but from the second day onward, it has only shown the message: “Currently, we are facing technical issues. Please try after some time.” It’s been 2–3 months, or maybe even longer. The app has received more than 20 updates, yet the issue is still not fixed. This is very disappointing. REsolve the technical issues instead of releasing update after update without fixing the core problem. ### 1/5 — Not user friendly app & issue in policy number adding *2026-07-04* Hi LIC Team, I would like to share my feedback regarding the LIC mobile app. The app is slow, difficult to use, and many features do not work reliably. Requiring repeated Aadhaar authentication for routine tasks is inconvenient and unnecessary and also family members new policy unable to add in this app. It is also disappointing that the app does not support credit card payments, which is a basic feature expected in any modern financial application. LIC is a trusted organization, but its mobile app falls far below current digital standards. Please improve the app's performance, usability, authentication process, and payment options to provide a better customer experience. I had tried multiple times since installing the app but still the issue persists. Also after it throws error there is no way to go back to Home Screen or somewhere else in the app. I am not sure who the developer is and they don’t even handle these normal flow’s properly. Worst ever app experience. Also when I tried updating address after entering Aadhaar verification otp it stuck on ‘processing your request please wait’ forever. Also there is no option to go anywhere ### 1/5 — Your premiums fund everything except a working app *2026-06-24* It’s 2026 and LIC — one of India’s most valuable companies — can’t build an app that simply lets users log in. A grey screen, a broken error icon that won’t even load, and a “Retry” button that retries absolutely nothing. Startups built by two people in a garage have better apps than this. The audacity to sit at 4.5 stars while real users are locked out for hours is laughable. The user experience is extremely poor and frustrating. Even for the smallest updates or changes, the app keeps asking for Aadhaar verification again and again.
