### 1/5 — Horrible software

*2020-04-15, version 1.6.1*

Can not say enough how this app has let me down. Absolutely the worst software. Always always fails.

### 1/5 — Bluetooth Terrible connection

*2020-04-07, version 1.6.1*

Had to reconnect my phone to the lift 10 times under 5 minutes. Terrible connection

### 1/5 — Need device but have to re-pair device constantly

*2020-01-19, version 1.6.0*

Mechanically the system is very cool. However, once I pair with my phone I get chance use the lift. If I leave the app and come back to use it again the app gets stuck saying it’s connecting, which it never does. So that leaves the lift unusable. I have to delete and repair every time. No bueno. If there’s not a fix soon I’m taking it down and sending it back.

A simple IR remote would’ve been a safer bet and more foolproof in the long run.

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2019-12-05, version 1.5.9*

App constantly crashes with errors. I have to reload the app 3-4 times in the time it takes to lift my cars cargo box.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-11-23, version 1.6.22*

The app is horrendous, can’t make any progress towards calibrating it or getting them to move as a group, tried to reach out to them for help but guess what? They don’t even have a call center! The hardware itself seems like a great system but the software for getting these to work is 0/10, would give a 0 star review if I could.

### 1/5 — P.O.S system seized 3rd use!

*2025-08-23, version 1.6.22*

Bought this thinking it would be great, had 14 ceiling in Garage! Used it twice first year I had it, 2nd year, dropped bikes went to raise the empty carriage! Keeping it level and the damned thing bound! I will never buy this product again!

### 1/5 — Won’t connect after just setting it up

*2023-04-06, version 1.6.4*

Won’t connect to Bluetooth it’s not holding ANYTHING!

### 1/5 — MyLIFTER platform stopped working after a year

*2023-02-07, version 1.6.4*

One of four lifter units stoped working last month. Not sure why, but it consistently shows the “lifer is off or out of range” message when I run the app. Three of other lifter units are connected just fine. Checked to make sure all have powered; downloaded new version of MyLIFTER, switching ÁC for the unit but this lifter still does not work. not sure what went wrong. The red light keep flashing event after I tried to reset the unit to the factory setup by holding the button for 10 seconds. The platform was working last month. I sent a request for help thru the website and it has been three weeks there is no help! Hope I can get a replacement unit as we bought the house brand new and this MyLIFTER platform came with the house in 2022.

### 1/5 — Only connecting to one winch

*2022-06-18, version 1.6.3*

Installed the bronco hardtop lifter. Downloaded this app and could only pair with one winch. I’ll come back and change the review if the support works.

### 1/5 — All of my equipment is stuck to the roof of my garage and the app won’t connect to my lifters.

*2022-03-20, version 1.6.3*

See above.

### 1/5 — Blue Tooth Won’t Pair

*2022-02-22, version 1.6.3*

My main concern about this system is that there is no manual remote. If the app doesn’t work your screwed. My app won’t pair now.

### 1/5 — Bad design

*2020-12-22, version 1.6.3*

One out of the four lifters won’t pair.

### 1/5 — Needs improvement

*2020-12-15, version 1.6.3*

This system is very buggy. I have installed over 20 of these systems: I’ve had 3 work without issues. Tried several times to contact developer, no response. I contacted in Jan 2020, finally got a response July 30, 2020. Not very quick to resolve issues. Also noticed my review of the app was removed. (Probably because it was truthful.) Reviews on here cannot be real. Would rate 0 stars if possible.
Update: December 2020. Tried giving these another try to see if any improvements. No improvement. Things are actually worse. Support or engineering: contact me and I can help you: it’s a hardware issue, if anyone is listening!!!!!!!!!!

### 1/5 — Hit and miss operation

*2020-04-30, version 1.6.1*

They worked fine for two years but now it is hit or miss. I have needed to climb a ladder and remove bikes to ride

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Top of the Line!

*2018-11-14, version 1.5.9*

Upgraded to MyLIFTER! Had Garage Gator for several years. Apps great. Simple. Easy to use. Happy.

### 5/5 — Great Hardware and Software

*2015-04-29, version 1.2*

The app is straightforward and controls the lifter flawlessly (I've had it for a week and used it several times).

Possible improvements:

- Sync seems to take a few seconds each time I open the app. Would love it to be faster.

- Apple Watch! If you add Apple Watch support, I'll hack into the App Store and give you six stars!

### 5/5 — Can't wait to get my myLIFTERs!

*2014-12-28, version 1.0*

Can't wait to get my myLIFTERs!

### 4/5 — Dual control

*2020-05-31, version 1.6.1*

I love my garage lifters but wish I had the option of controlling them from multiple phones. Even without that option they are perfect storage options.

### 4/5 — Doesn’t connect consistently

*2020-02-06, version 1.6.1*

Update: Recent update seems to fix most issues. I still wish there was a manual override.

Ever since the update I have to close and reopen the app 3-4X to connect. A bit unnerving that there is no manual override. I basically have a 70 lbs cargo box hoisted 14’ in the air and 100% reliant on this app. I may have to return if there is no solution.

### 4/5 — Love the MyLifters!

*2015-03-08, version 1.1*

I just received my 4 MyLifters this week and am very impressed by the high quality of everything. I plan on using them for a Jeep Wrangler hardtop lift. Two of them are currently used for bike lifters. The app works very well with one exception. The Group function appears to be disabled still. This prevents using the MyLifters for the hardtop lift until the developers update the app to enable the grouping of multiple lifters to works as a single unit. The first version had a notice the the group function was disabled and would come in a future release. The current second release just greyed out the group option.

### 3/5 — Works pretty well

*2020-12-13, version 1.6.3*

Out of box experience was not great. The device is packaged well and seems nicely made, but the app is bare-bones and offers no help or explanation when something doesn’t work. In my case, it said I needed a firmware upgrade, but it was unable to install it because it could not reliably connect via Bluetooth. Luckily I have some experience on the development side of things, and I figured it was a very old BLE stack that wouldn’t connect to iOS 12. Also fortunately, I had an older iPhone laying around with an older OS, and using that, the I got the firmware updated and was subsequently able to use it with my new iPhone.

Once you get the firmware updated, it works as advertised. It would be nice if the interface were a little more streamlined. For instance, I only have one lifter, but I have to select it every time I start the app, which means more tapping in more waiting. And the set buttons take up a lot of room on the main screen considering I only use them when configuring the device.

The device is nice, but slow and noisy. It does the job.

### 2/5 — Connection issues

*2024-08-02, version 1.6.20*

Some of the most frustrating moments I’ve had in recent memory… getting the kids psyched up and ready for camping, then wasting the day fiddling in a 100 degree garage with pairing my phone and Bluetooth issues to get the RTT off the ceiling so we can actually go. It’s nice that the lift has now permanently stored my RTT off the ground, but I have no idea how I’m going to get it down other than cutting it or removing the lifts from the ceiling carefully. For now, RTT camping is out.

### 2/5 — Not reliable

*2022-01-08, version 1.6.3*

I purchased this lifter, to help avoid having to run up and down ladders to put stuff in my loft. The unit runs very intermittently. Bluetooth connection is constantly going out. I have contacted support and still have gotten nowhere. Not sure I would recommend this unit to someone. Support can’t seem to figure out what is wrong with my system.I have contacted them again and I’m hoping they can get the squared away. If not I would hope they would at least consider a replacement.
