The port and IP address should be enough to get one logged in. A better explanation of what the author of the app was trying to get you to enter would be helpful - otherwise I can’t use the app… **Developer response:** Hi. Path field is not required, you don’t need to fill it if your infrastructure doesn’t need it. It’s there in case you have Linkwarden in a path after your domain. Example: https://mydomain.com/linkwarden ### 1/5 — Fails to connect - self-hosted LW 2.6.2 *2024-07-29* I'm happily connected through my browser which tells me my LetsEncrypt certificate is valid, however this application fails with a message "Connection error. Cannot establish a connection with the server. If you are using HTTPS, check if your certificate is valid.". This occurs on both Username/Password and Access Token authentication. **Developer response:** Hi. On the latest version you should be able to connect without any issues, because the SSL validation has been removed. ### 2/5 — UX fairly week *2026-03-09* The main gap is the ability to quickly add and edit tags. Seem to have to long press, open edit, click tags, scroll to search etc. This should be an immediate control on the top level link card. ### 2/5 — Needs Improvement *2025-11-09* I am using a custom server with token authentication. When sharing links with the app, it complains it cannot reach the server so I cannot add links this way. The app has intermittent connection issues with the server, requires refreshing to resolve. Layout and UI are nice. Tags entry is very slow and inefficient, please see how Zotero handles this with type to filter and without dismissing the keyboard between tags so you can rapidly enter multiple tags. Open sourcing the app would increase privacy confidence and allow other developers to contribute. ### 3/5 — Won’t connect to my self-hosted LinkWarden *2025-02-08* I’m trying desperately to hook it up but with no luck. Send an email to apps@jgeek00.com to check what’s happening. ### 4/5 — Solid app that can use some additional features *2024-11-29* So far so good with the app. It handles all the basic actions I’ve thrown at it except one…I’m getting an error trying to re-categorize links that are in “Unassigned” by default. I get a 400 error time despite the same action working perfectly fine via the PWA. If I can settle that, this app will be the perfect Linkwarden companion. **Developer response:** Hi. The issue has been fixed on v1.3.4. ### 5/5 — Great App, 1 Major Bug *2026-04-14* Fantastic and near perfect app except for 1 major issue. Tags don't work. At all. They don't show up, I can't add them, and I can't view tags that links have. (Although it does say the number of tags a link has) I'm on the latest version of both the app and linkwarden. (Self hosted using official docker image. The issue also happens and broke at the same time when using links.adminforge.de, an outdated host) It used to work around a month ago **Developer response:** Hi. Lediglich das Einstellen der Ordnerfarbe klappt nicht, spielt aber für die Funktionalität keine Rolle. Nutze die App mit einer selbstgehosteten Instanz. Der Entwickler hat sich seinen „Tip“ wirklich verdient!
