## What is My little Pinneberg?

My little Pinneberg is the unofficial, free app for the district of Pinneberg in Schleswig-Holstein. All important information at a glance — directly on your iPhone.

This app is a purely private project and has no affiliation with the district of Pinneberg or the city of Pinneberg. It was created because the developer was missing some functions in existing apps and because there was no single app that bundled all the relevant information for the district.


## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-06-21

New: "Guten Morgen Pinneberg" daily briefing – your day's key info (weather, waste collection, departures from your favorite stop, warnings, school closures, pollen and motorway status) bundled at the top of the home screen, and optionally as one morning notification. Everything runs locally on your device.

Fixed: The map could show no locations in some situations – it now loads reliably and offers a retry.
Improved: Notifications now open the matching section of the app directly.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-04-20

Version 1.1.0 – many new modules for everyday life in the district of Pinneberg:

New features:
• Shops-Open Sundays – all dates in Pinneberg, Elmshorn, Wedel, Quickborn and other towns, with calendar export.
• Citizen Services – direct access to bulky waste pickup (GAB), citizen offices, registry office, vehicle registration, lost & found, and building authority.
• School Cancellation Warner – evaluates active NINA and DWD weather warnings on school days and flags possible cancellations. Official confirmation still via schulausfall.sh.
• Speed Controls – announced police checks in the district, with calendar export.
• EV Charging Stations – all registered stations (Bundesnetzagentur) on the map, with filter by fast charger and plug type.
• Siri commands – ask things like "When is the next garbage pickup?" or "Any warnings?".
• Live Activities – active NINA warnings and the next public-transit departure shown live in the Dynamic Island.

Improvements:
• New explicit notice about the app (not an official source, no liability) — must be acknowledged once.
• Dashboard customization works reliably again (adding widgets, resetting).
• Smoother search in the EV charging stations.
