## What is My M43 Kit?

Your personal Micro Four Thirds lens companion. Browse the lens database, add and edit your own, catalog your collection, log your shoots with photos, and see depth of field — all tuned for your system.

Every lens has a page
- Tap any lens for full specifications on one screen
- Weight, length, diameter, filter thread, minimum focus, magnification
- Full-frame equivalents: field of view, wide-open depth of field, and the diffraction limit in 35mm terms
- Your photos and that lens's shot notes, together with its specs
- Load it into the depth of field calculator from here

My Kit
- See your entire collection at a glance
- Focal coverage chart shows what your kit covers — and where the gaps are
- Total weight, fastest aperture, widest and longest lens
- Lens usage heat map reveals which lenses you added shot notes to

111 MFT lenses with full specs — plus your own
- Panasonic Lumix G and Leica DG
- OM System / Olympus M.Zuiko
- Sigma, Voigtländer Nokton, and the complete Laowa MFT line

- Discontinued classics included — first-generation zooms and primes back to 2008
- Weight, dimensions, weather sealing, image stabilization for every lens
- Native Micro Four Thirds mount only, and native MFT figures
- Every spec checked against the manufacturer's own published figures; if a number can't be verified, it isn't listed

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.0 — 2026-08-07

New: Lens detail pages. Tap any lens to open it — full specs including length and diameter, your photos, that lens's shot notes, and the whole thing on one screen instead of squeezed onto a card.

New: Full-frame equivalents. See the field of view and the wide-open depth of field your lens gives in full-frame terms — honestly labelled, because exposure doesn't scale: f/2.8 still meters as f/2.8. It also tells you where diffraction starts to bite, which on this format matters earlier than most people expect.

New: Pick a lens straight from the DOF tab. A lens button in the toolbar, searchable, with your own lenses grouped first — no more going to the database and back.

Changed: Tapping a lens card now opens its detail page. To load a lens into the DOF calculator, open it and tap "Load in DOF Calculator" — or use the new lens picker in the DOF tab.

Changed: M43 Lenses is now My M43 Kit. Same app, same collection, new name — the lens database was only ever half of what it does.

Fixed: A bug that could silently lose hand-entered custom lenses if their stored data ever became unreadable. Your lenses are now preserved and the failure reported instead of passing quietly.

Your owned lenses, custom lenses, photos, and shot notes all carry over untouched.

### 2.1.2 — 2026-06-02

"Edit your lenses. Photograph your kit."

- New: Edit custom lenses — fix a name or any spec on the lenses you've added. Rename one and its owned status and shot notes follow it automatically.
- New: Photos on lenses — attach your own photos to any lens (product shots, MTF charts, reference frames). The icon turns blue once a lens has photos, so you can see what you've documented at a glance.
- Fixed: custom lens names are no longer autocorrected

(Every change here came straight from feedback on the mu-43 forum — thank you.)

### 2.1.1 — 2026-05-31

New 2.1.1
New: Added the Olympus 9mm f/8 fisheye body cap lens
Fixed: Keyboard dismissal through a clear X-button in the search field, a Done button on the keyboard itself, and dismiss-on-scroll.

And of course what was new in 2.1:
New: Add your own lenses — legacy, adapted, or anything not in the built-in database. Your custom lenses join My Kit and work in every tool.
New: Photos on shot notes — attach a photo to each note for a real visual log of your shoots.
More lenses: 7 added (80 total), including the OM System 40-150mm f/4 PRO, Panasonic 14-140mm II, and the latest OM primes.
Fixed: magnification figures corrected to true Micro Four Thirds values across the database.

Your collection and shot notes carry over untouched.
