Doesn't actually do anything until you make in-app purchase. Very short list of English names - apparently of the pacific north-west, so not much use as they can't be edited. If you could edit the species list for your own locality it might begin to be useful, but there should be more functions to try before you buy.

Have to enter your finds from drop-down menu and there are only about 30 mushrooms there. Come on developer, you can do better than this!

Don't bother. Downloaded and deleted almost as quick. Only functions are a compass and an altimeter (why?) Need to purchase further download for any funghi related content.

There is a long, unnecessary intro graphic to this lite version, followed by an app with zero functionality unless you make in-app purchases. If I can't see what the app does without making a purchase, I certainly won'y be spending money to buy it. Utterly useless.

Great concept.. However you have to purchase further items for this to work. Also the choice of mushrooms found is limited to a few common ones. Diss appointing & deleted within a minute.

I have downloaded this "free" app and it is a bonafied rip off, since the only thing I was able to see was 1 picture of a chanterelle. No matter what I clicked, it was asking me to pay and so after paying $1 in app purchase, I found out that this thing is not what I had in mind, it has nothing to do with mushroom identification, I can record gps coordinates, big deal. 

Furthermore, I can't find any place I can ask for a refund, no email, the website is something about ducks and again has no way to get in touch with anybody. 

I don't understand how Apple ever approved this. 

If the author can see, this, please issue me a refund or advise how I can do that for in app purchase. 

This app is a trap. Stay away.

Cons.

You can log where you found your mushrooms which is cool, but you pretty much have to log it when you find it because you can’t enter a location, it just auto pins your currently location.  Not great when you want to log something you found yesterday.

The other big negative is you can only enter one of the 20 or so much rooms in their database.  There are far more edible mushrooms out there.  They have 2 or 3 Bolete varieties, but there are far more edible Boletes.  I also find medicinal mushrooms, none are on the app.  No option to manually enter your specific mushroom name.

App crashes while adding pictures to the location

Pros.

You can log how many mushrooms you found in a specific area, as well as pictures of the mushrooms (when it doesn’t crash).

What a piece of JUNK! Nothing, & I mean NOTHING can be used unless you pay! Out of hundreds of apps that I've ever tried, this is by far the worst, most piece-of-junk, waste of time & space, so-called "app" that I've ever come across. These developers should be ashamed to have their name associated with this! Absolutely pathetic.

This app is crap and I can't find another app the app is total bs can't do anything w/o purchase

**Developer response:** Hunter, thanks for your review. The app has been redone (coming Aug 2022). There are no in-app purchases required to use it. Try it before you pay for a different one.

This app contains three buttons, "Locations", "Locate" and "Mushroom ID".  Clicking on any of them pops up a window which basically says you need to purchase to use the feature.  So basically you can do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING with this app.  To add insult to injury - it bombards you with ads.

This would be more aptly classified as a virus then an app.
