Now my $60 remote is junk ### 1/5 — Won’t open *2025-10-29, version 2.2.0* The app opened once. Now it just sits on a black screen with white boxes on the bottom. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it multiple times. I tried on 3 different iPhones. All iOS 15 or iOS 26. It doesn’t load on any phones! This app is effectively useless, nothing but constant “could not connect. Let’s try again!” in an endless, frustrating cycle. I reached out to customer service and have gotten no response whatsoever. It is 2025, there is no reason to make a TV remote this darn complicated, I just wanted a replacement for my Bravia 8, and was recommended this one in Best Buy… I could not recommend this experience less ### 1/5 — Worst way to program a remote *2025-10-19* I have used many universal remotes and this by far has the worst programming interface ever. It’s slow. It’s tedious. The chat interface works for simple use cases but seriously - programming a remote? A guided wizard would be much better. There is a process and steps that need done. It needs an expert mode where I can actually go do what I know needs done other that mindlessly wade through chat prompt after chat prompt. Trash! ### 1/5 — Garbage app *2025-10-18* DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. There are so many other options that work. The phrase “Oops try again later” will drive you crazy and will never work. Idk how they have above a single star, but I’m assuming they paid for them. Also no customer service is available unless you want someone to send an apology email a week later **Developer response:** Sorry for the trouble! We had some technical issues with our cloud platform last week, but everything’s fixed now. Garbage ### 2/5 — Not a good experience when using with one for all remotes *2025-07-19, version 2.2.0* The chatbot style interface is ok when it comes to teaching your remote which devices you are using, ie stb, tv, amp/soundbar, blueray, games console but it then doesn’t allow for any configuration of the use. In my case the activity set up the sky Q box I have to turn on along with the tv and amp and even allowed for the tv source to be set correctly. That would have been great if there wasn’t more to this function (in my case I have to set the source on my amp to connect to the sky box too as I also have other devices connect). There was no way in this app to tell the remote that something more was required and no other way to program the remote. I had to send the remote back as there was little benefit to it if it’s not fully configurable. Nevo need to get together with One for All to allow a better experience for updating to remote. ### 1/5 — Hope you kept the receipt *2025-05-04, version 2.1.8* Utter garbage app and remote ### 1/5 — Won’t Connect *2025-03-14, version 2.1.8* Ever since updating to the last couple of “new” versions, I can no longer connect my “One For All Smart Control Pro URC 7966”. ### 3/5 — OK App but could be much more *2025-03-13, version 2.1.8* App is OK but quite basic when setting up my URC7966. I can’t see why it couldn’t allow you to individually set each button for the remote setup. This would make it possible to configure remote without the original (or in my case it not learning from my original Panasonic remotes. Strange because it will learn from a cheap Chinese replacement remote I have for my older Panasonic TV). ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work *2026-08-28* If I could give it 0 stars, I would. The apps interface is horrible and outdated, it takes forever to startup, and provides three canned responses to any issues you have without resolving anything- it’s actually only two answers considering it prompts you to change the batteries two different ways (i.e. “Click and hold okay for 3 seconds to enter discovery mode on your remote”, “change the batteries”, and my personal favorite “ensure you have fresh batteries”). I’m in a never ending loop of trying to reconnect my smart remote to my iPhone. I develop & design UX/UI professionally and this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with an app. To whomever is in charge… It’s 2026, connect Claude to your codebase let it cook. Selling this “not so smart” remote after I buy a Vizio OEM remote. Only thing that saved the remote was learning from another one. Power button won’t tune the tv on, so what few buttons that do work only work when the tv is on. For this price point of $60 I would had expected a better product.
