### 1/5 — Needs major overhaul

*2024-08-21, version 8.5.1*

This app is indicative of the council that commissioned and approved it. It’s well intentioned and better than nothing but all in all disappointingly clunky, out of date, poorly conceived and badly implemented. Trying to book an appointment at the local tip is a nightmare! Why do we have to do that now anyway?! It was introduced during Covid! Just another example of institutional abuse of the pandemic as an excuse for cutting costs…utterly disgusting! Replacing bins/recycling bags is also very clunky and unnecessarily difficult. As are most things on this app. For most things it redirects you to a web page that looks and functions as if designed by college students as an IT project. The value for money for council tax vs local amenities and services in Newport is absolutely terrible. It’s like a 3rd world country! The local government should be ashamed and held financially accountable.

### 1/5 — Shocking

*2024-01-17, version 8.4.1*

it’s a shocking, crazy, useless application and somebody should really get a grip of it urgently and judging by the series of seriously poor reviews others would probably agree with me .

Staying recently at the resort and went for a walk to stretch my legs across the main Chepstow Road. Discovered, after a mooch about, a small lane which seemed to run down the side of some woodland to a housing estate in a road called fisher close. Ye gods and little fishes - I walked into an absolute mess of litter. Perhaps even human excrement - though it might just have been animal - and the odd drug impediment - thrown along this twisty lane and tossed into the adjacent woodland. I’m surprised anybody could walk along it without falling over it so as a visitor to Newport, I tried to report this using this app.

it’s a shockingly crazy useless muddle and somebody should really get a grip of it urgently. That is of course if its meant to be taken seriously.

### 1/5 — Pointless having an app they ignore you.

*2024-01-14, version 8.4.1*

Myself and neighbours have reported the terrible state of the footpath in our street. Elderly people have fallen on this and it’s been reported to the council on many occasions via this app. They completely ignore you. Don’t get a response or any action taken. We pay the most council tax in the area and the abysmal service we get from Newport in return is laughable. No wonder they’re known as the worst council in Wales.

### 1/5 — Access

*2023-08-18, version 8.3.0*

Unable to access the newport city council app for the last week.

### 1/5 — Tony

*2022-10-04, version 8.2.1*

Useless app

### 1/5 — Pointless

*2022-09-09, version 8.2.1*

This app is ridiculous. Not much works and I can’t even do the simplest task of changing my address which I’ve been trying to do for months. Great idea in principle but pointless if it doesn’t work properly.

### 1/5 — Poor

*2022-04-03, version 8.0.8*

Like many things managed by a local authority it’s another bad use of a presumably large budget.

### 1/5 — Useless and Unusable - keeps crashing

*2021-06-27, version 8.0.5*

The app is unusable as it keeps crashing on startup. Have tried deleting and reinstall but same result. Seems similar comments are being ignored and left unaddressed by the authors (i.e. Newport City Council) !!!

### 1/5 — Crashes constantly

*2021-01-25, version 8.0.5*

Haven’t been able to log on to app as every time I try it crashes. Please fix ASAP as we need these services to work during lockdown. Thanks

### 1/5 — Poor

*2020-07-09, version 7.0.6*

Difficult to use and navigate. For a mobile app it’s not well suited for use on a phone screen.
