### 2/5 — Not Great

*2026-02-21, version 1.1.0*

Loaded it today, doesn’t work properly. Not sure it’s still supported?

### 2/5 — Weather graph

*2026-02-07, version 1.1.0*

Graphing function doesn’t work for weather. It’s the reason I chose this app beacause I want to see correlations of pain with the weather conditions in a graph.

### 3/5 — Glitch

*2025-06-23, version 1.1.0*

This app however every time I go to enter my pain diary, it closes and forces me to open it again. Hopefully this can get fixed.

### 3/5 — App not working

*2025-03-10, version 1.1.0*

I really like this app but it has not been working right lately. I tried to input information and that just closed. Please fixed. I look to see if there was on update but didn’t find any.

### 4/5 — Worth it if you’re willing to put up with a couple of glitches

*2025-02-07, version 1.1.0*

This app is great. It’s needed. I like the way it functions most of the time. It has a few glitches, but they’re pretty regular and easy to work around.
Overall, it’s a great app, and I highly recommend for anyone wanting to track a chronic condition

### 1/5 — 🔥iOS 18 CRASH🔥

*2024-10-05, version 1.1.0*

I downloaded the latest Apple iOS version (iOS 18) and now My Pain Diary 2 crashes every time I open it up and click to add a data entry- I even deleted the app & lost all my history and redownloaded the app to start from scratch and the exact same thing is happening. Please HELP and fix this. Thank you

### 1/5 — Can't use

*2024-05-23, version 1.1.0*

Tru tp enter things and it crashes so it's unuseable

### 2/5 — Won’t fetch weather data

*2024-03-22, version 1.1.0*

I bought the app under the impression that it would automatically download current weather conditions as I created the journal entries. Disappointingly, that feature doesn’t work on my iPhone or iPad. All settings for this are turned on. I emailed the developer for support twice, with no response. Otherwise it seems like a very thorough and capable app. I only wish it worked as advertised.

### 3/5 — Keeps crashing

*2024-03-12, version 1.1.0*

This was the best pain monitoring app available but for some time now I have been unable to open pain diary without it crashing. However, I have found that if one shuts down one’s device and powers in again one can open it. Tedious but possible. I use the history to show my GP to monitor pain control in painful genetic condition No response to appeal for support.

### 1/5 — My app keeps crashing crashing

*2024-02-13, version 1.1.0*

Even though I reinstalled it. Presently looking for a new app

### 1/5 — Don’t waste money

*2024-01-24, version 1.1.0*

With zero updates in six years it’s obviously got issues caused by technology updates. I can log some things but then click on another catagory and the app shuts downs

### 3/5 — I see potential

*2024-01-12, version 1.1.0*

I do like this app for recording my illnesses but It kicks me out quite often. I don’t have a good short term memory so remembering to try to log my symptoms later, when the app corporates, usually doesn’t happen. I have tried to contact the creator of this app a few times with no reply. I got this app to simplify my tracking, but it has just complicated it instead.

### 2/5 — Useful…when it works

*2023-12-20*

Overall the app is fine but, more often than not, when I open the app and try to add info to the pain section (any category) the app just shuts down. I then close the app completely and try over and over until I get frustrated and then wait a few hours before I try again. Seeing as how I’m supposed to be tracking my pain in real time, it isn’t ideal to have the app unavailable when I need it. The app was recommended by my attorney and, even though I almost never pay for apps, I paid for it thinking it would somehow perform better than a free app. So far the app hasn’t felt worth the $4.99 and I would be unlikely to recommend this app to anyone. Hoping the developers will see this review and fix the bugs!

### 1/5 — Frustrating tool

*2023-12-17, version 1.1.0*

This app worked great - once. I was able to customize it and make entries immediately after purchasing. Attempted to add new entries a couple of days later and app would immediately close each time I tried adding data. Uninstalled and reinstalled and problem continued.
This could be a great tool but what a waste of $ I feel it is after these odd problems.

### 1/5 — This app crashes constantly

*2023-10-15, version 1.1.0*

This app crashes constantly, and I want a refund. Don’t waste your money.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2023-10-11, version 1.1.0*

Crashed twice the first time I tried to add an entry. I deleted the app and requested a refund as it does not work as expected.

iPad Air 4th generation
iOS 17.0.3

### 2/5 — Wasted potential

*2023-09-09, version 1.1.0*

Probably the most user friendly interface out of the diary apps I’ve tried but unfortunately it crashes constantly making it impossible to collate consistent and accurate data

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2026-05-01, version 1.1.0*

Kicks me out every time I try to add pain. I also deleted it and re- downloaded but still doesn’t work

### 1/5 — App does not open

*2025-12-15, version 1.1.0*

I cannot open the app once it downloaded.

### 1/5 — Constant crashing

*2025-10-05, version 1.1.0*

App crashes every time i go in to program a pain item. I have not been able to complete input or track anything without it crashing.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2025-09-20, version 1.1.0*

Following the recent iOS update, I lost approximately one year’s worth of data. I followed the recommended ‘fix’ described by the developer without success. I have reached out to the developer (approximately 1week ago) and have not received a reply. Deleting and reinstall the app results in an error message.

### 1/5 — Rubbish - crashes every time try and enter something

*2025-07-07, version 1.1.0*

Bought the app and can’t even make an entry - chargeback

### 1/5 — Doesn’t allow me to enter my fibro tracker

*2025-06-03, version 1.1.0*

I want to love and use this app. It doesn’t even let me begin to enter my tracking info. Just kicks me out. I emailed support twice with no response.

### 1/5 — Crashes constantly

*2025-03-07, version 1.1.0*

Does not work. Can’t make diary entries. No response to request for help.

### 1/5 — Frustrating and Unusable

*2025-02-23, version 1.1.0*

This app is incredibly complicated to use. Every time I try to enter new comments, select an entry, and choose a tracker, it logs me out automatically. The process is so frustrating that it completely defeats the purpose of managing a pain diary. Instead of helping, it adds to the frustration. I do not recommend this app for tracking your pain—it’s painful to use!

### 1/5 — App Crashes

*2025-01-20, version 1.1.0*

I was so excited to have this app that I could modify to be specific for me and how simple the design is, but every time I hit a button it crashes.

The only way to resolve is to restart my phone and then it only lasts about 3 clicks and starts crashing again.

I’ve reached out to the developer multiple times with no response.

Wasted my money….

### 1/5 — Can’t use App. Won’t respond to emails

*2024-12-02, version 1.1.0*

As soon as I click on something in the app it kicks me out completely. I emailed the email provided and no one has responded. Asking for my $ back

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app great price

*2026-05-13, version 1.1.0*

I looked at several other pain diaries and found them very complicated. This app is very easy to to use and to tailor to your needs. And paying a one off small price instead of an expensive subscription makes it excellent value. The only feature I haven’t use is the export

### 5/5 — Android version Pretty Please!

*2025-12-14, version 1.1.0*

I have used and enjoyed this app thoroughly for about a decade. However, my iPhone 6S+ began to lose functionality with several important apps. When my continuous glucose monitoring device was no longer supported on my ancient iPhone, I had to replace it. I replaced it with an Android. Samsung Galaxy 25 Ultra.

I love my new phone, but your app is only available for Apple devices.

 Now I’m sad.

### 5/5 — Great app for monitoring

*2024-05-22, version 1.1.0*

It’s a great app which i was recommended to use to gather evidence for a benefits claim. However, i will continue to use it to monitor my symptoms. As someone with fibro I experience a lot of fibro fog so being able to export and share symptoms with my doctors should mean I am less likely to forget something important.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2023-07-12, version 1.1.0*

For anyone with a number of medical issues it gives you patterns accurate and helpful.

### 5/5 — Best pain and meds mgmt app

*2022-08-21, version 1.1.0*

I’ve been using this app for years and hope to use it for a long time in future. Yes it takes time to get to know it, and set it so it works how you want, but for me it’s perfect. I’m super happy.

### 5/5 — Solid pain tracking app

*2021-09-30, version 1.1.0*

This all is extremely customizable and offers so many things to track. Easy to use and set up. If you have multiple pain issues or even just one, I would consider it.

### 5/5 — So helpful, exactly what I’ve been looking for

*2021-08-16, version 1.1.0*

Great interface, easy to use and the ability to add your own symptoms, descriptions, and notes. The tracking is exactly what I have been looking forward, to look at how things are going over time.

### 5/5 — Highly Recommend!

*2021-07-10*

I have chronic pain that is now being treated with steroid injections. My doctor wants me to document any kind of pain that I have and what helps alleviate it. At first I started jotting notes down in a little spiral notebook. Sometimes I would forget to write down the type, intensity, or duration. With this app you can customize what you need to document. Essentially there are built in prompts to remind me to document everything my doctor needs to see. My report shows my pain, what medication I took for the pain and how effective the medication was to alleviate it. All in an easy to read format!

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2021-03-11, version 1.1.0*

I use for tracking my migraines as well as my auto immune illnesses. I like that I can send my doctors reports or pull up when at doctors to show or jog my memory of bad days, what weather was like as that can play into etc.

Highly recommend

### 5/5 — A must have for anyone with chronic pain

*2020-12-31*

I started using this a few years ago just to identify trends. My entries became redundant so I quit. But as the US Government’s war against chronic pain patients refuses to abate, I decided to go back to keeping a log because logs are powerful as evidence. I was delighted to see the app was updated to add a body map you can click on to select locations. My wishlist would be: some better default trend reports and maybe templated entries for my different pain sources. It does take time to put together an entry and if there are only minor variations in my entries, editing a templated entry would be easier than building a complex entry from scratch one or more times a day. Templated options could also make an Apple Watch app useful, since you want minimal selection options on a WatchOS app. Overall though, it works, covers my needs and is worth the money.
