My app ALWAYS says eligible to tan until I scan in, and the girls behind the desk say “you have to wait 20 more minutes”. It’s so annoying because they get a little snippy about it too. There is no way to contact them, they tell me to use my email to get into the app to cancel, but I’ve used two emails or updated it long ago because I could no longer access the first one, but their system doesn’t work like that and they don’t see to understand. If I try to use the new email that THEY ADDED to my account into the system it says I don’t have an account and if I try to use the old one it wants me to confirm in my email which I cannot access. So I’m still being charged after their downtown Houston location shut down completely from the hurricane in July yet I continue to be charged every month. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Ugh frustrating *2026-05-21, version 4.2.3* I have deleted the app because it wanted me to update my password constantly….I added it again now it keeps asking me to update my email, I do then it says it’s updated. I try to look at my account and it goes back to “update email”. I can’t win with this app. I only wanted it to have the bar code for easy sign in. I’m about to delete the whole dang thing and go back to using my DL, this is just too frustrating!!! ### 1/5 — Can’t even sign in *2026-05-09, version 4.2.3* Every time I try to open the app it gets stuck on a screen saying to confirm my email address and it just sits and buffers… doesn’t work. Period. ### 5/5 — 2 step app set up *2023-04-08* Needs an associate to email you the sign in link. Since you have to go to the store in person anyway to tan, it’s really no big deal. I love that I’m able to see my account and payments, status, etc. I found that my account had my old address still, which I was able to change. Really nice surprise to receive the $10 PBT dollar for downloading and installing the app! ◡̈ I’m using it the next time to upgrade for the amethyst solution. ### 5/5 — Awesome! *2020-05-17, version 2.0.6* What great app PBT came out with! The idea and theory of the app is great! It’s functionality is awesome. Being able to check in with my barcode via the app not so much.....it either doesn’t scan at all or if it does it doesn’t actually read it so I have to try to scan it again. Maybe 2/20 times has it actually worked for me when scanning. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ ### 3/5 — Release 3.7.1 is Buggy - Hotfix Needed *2024-09-10, version 3.7.1* The 3.7.1 release that occurred on 09/10/24 has bugs in the software. I would consider it a P0. A push to update the app was received before 9am CST. After the app was updated, I could not sign in. I kept receiving a message that either my username or password is incorrect. I tried several time to log in and kept receiving the same pop-up message. I then clicked on the ‘Forget Your Password?’ link twice to see if that would remedy the login issue. It did not. The first message I received said that I didn’t have an account then the second message was I do have an account and that a password reset email was sent. Never received an email. I went to the salon and the lady there said everyone was having problems with the app today. To the developer(s), please kindly push a hotfix to remediate these bugs. Thank you! ### 3/5 — Ok *2022-06-18, version 3.2.2* This app can be good. It was helpful to see when you last tanned, tanning history, and promotions.
