### 2/5 — Great when it works

*2022-01-16*

Great app when it works but periodically stops updating for weeks or months. It’s been six weeks since it updated and no clue if they will fix this problem. It was a really useful program when it was working.

### 2/5 — Stopped working, no support

*2021-08-03, version 1.7*

App was glitchy at first but did work briefly and was extremely useful. Now it won’t generate reports. There is ZERO support. The companies “website” consists of a single page with tabs labeled ‘help’, ‘forums’ etc. but every single link there is dead. Go look at ndilitechnologies.com and see for yourself before spending any money on this product. I hope they get it together because when working correctly this could save users a lot of money…

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2018-11-16, version 1.7*

Doesn’t work

### 1/5 — Stopped working

*2018-10-28, version 1.7*

Data synced up only until Feb 2018

### 1/5 — 1 Year free, then a very expensive subscription.

*2018-09-21*

Work well for first year, make the subscription service reasonable.
A dollar a year for thousands of users is better than 5 users for $1.99/month.

### 1/5 — Not working now

*2018-07-06, version 1.7*

Worked great for a few months, now just locks up and provides no support...

### 1/5 — Never updated data after install date

*2018-03-03, version 1.7*

Installed the app on 2/2/18 and it pulled all my PG&E data till that date. However, the app never updated since then no matter how hard I kept hitting refresh button. Even reinstalled it. I even paid 23.99 for cloud storage but that did not help either. What a waste of money.

### 1/5 — App stopped working

*2017-08-09*

The app just stopped updating I can't find anyone to contact paid for subscription until 2018 anyone have any suggestions.

### 1/5 — Nothing happens

*2017-08-02*

I bought the app and storage. I followed all the instructions. The app has clearly accessed my PG&E acct because my address and billing dates are there. But when I press analyze to run a report, nothing happens. SO disappointed. I feel cheated.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work again....

*2017-07-25, version 1.6*

Not sure how to contact the developer. This is the 3rd time in a year this program stopped working and with patience, it comes back. PG&E may be changing their logic which requires the developer to update the app, but their should be some communication back to the users that they are on it! Agree it's worth every penny for what the app does, but only when it works.

### 1/5 — Not working for me

*2017-07-22, version 1.6*

Did work a few months ago, but nothing now.

### 1/5 — Not working for a week

*2017-06-09*

Worked well for less than a month. Hasn't worked for a month. Customer service not responding either.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Don’t buy

*2025-07-27, version 1.7*

Does not work

### 1/5 — Useless—$8 wasted

*2024-08-23*

Downloaded the app, input my information (account, territory, electric codes), and nothing. Waited a month. Nothing. Completely useless.

In the developers defense, I’m guessing pge updated their system to brick the app, but either way, the app is now useless. Save your $8.

### 1/5 — Poor support, outdated rate schedules, almost worthless

*2024-02-14*

Once upon a time this app was pretty good. Now, sometimes it goes for weeks without updating the usage info. The rate schedule is generally outdated so when it give you a $$ amount of electrical usage the amount is never accurate. Not worth it. My Tesla app is way better.

### 1/5 — Stopped working?

*2022-12-14*

Previous versions worked well. I reinstalled and my login is accepted, but the app never loads. Restart wants me to login again.
Earlier versions were helpful because you could see if you would pay less on another rate plan, based on your previous usage.

### 1/5 — Rates never up to date

*2022-12-01, version 1.7*

This app never seems to update their rates so the $$$ amounts are NEVER correct. It sometimes goes days without updating electric usage, and I have had it go weeks without updating. Not a great app if you accurately want to track your energy usage and associated costs.

### 1/5 — PG&E Toolkit

*2022-08-05, version 1.7*

Doesn’t work at all!! Who can I call to get my money back?

### 1/5 — App stopped working October 24, 2021

*2021-12-28, version 1.7*

I have paid cloud storage through June 2022, but the app stopped gathering PG&E data on October 24. Not sure if this app is of any use now.

### 1/5 — Not updating

*2021-12-17*

My usage hasn’t updated for the last 3 weeks.
No contact information to let developers know.
Useless.

### 1/5 — I can't log in to PG&E

*2019-07-21*

After providing my log in info, it hangs trying to get data. Nice idea, and I commend the developer for trying. My guess is that PG&E doesn't make it easy for 3rd party apps to login, and the last thing they want is for an app to provide actual usage and costing clarity for their customers.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2018-12-08*

I purchased this app and entered the information required from my PG&E account. All I get is the words “initializing please wait”. Its been a week and I’m still waiting. Waste of money.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Made my move to another plan easier

*2020-02-23*

This is one of the few apps I’ve used on a regular basis to verify I am indeed saving money after moving to an EV Time Of Use plan. So far, we’re rocking it.

The app could do with some UI updates to include updated screen sizes, etc.. but I find what I need out of the app. Given the author doesn’t seem to be getting any love from other users, I figured I’d put in my 2c.

### 5/5 — Saved me $4000.00

*2019-06-18, version 1.7*

Using the app saved me major cash by:

1. Helping me analyze the best plan.
2. Helping watch day by day usage so as to get best rates depending on the time of day.

It can be quirky and occasionally the developer needs to be reminded to refresh the data. But as a value added app, it has added tremendous value. The developer is just one person, and I doubt this is his whole life. But he always responds to issues if you email him.

Most people have no idea what their time of use charges are and would be shocked to learn that some plans charge 3X for power between 2pm and 11. After 11 what costs .45 during the day goes down to .12 late night.

### 5/5 — Be sure to enter all required data or it will not work

*2019-05-27*

Downloaded the app today. After signing in with my online PG&E credentials it hung up downloading data *until I entered the required Territory and heating type codes under the settings tab at the bottom of the page*—then it worked perfectly.

### 5/5 — Great to optimize

*2018-11-06, version 1.7*

This app is great - it helps me to optimize the charge time for my car, to pick the right rate plan, and look at if a Change I made actually makes a difference.
It suggests the best rate plan (it shows you how much a time period costs with any rate plan.)
I got this because I wanted a whole house meter, but this is better.
You may also want ISO today (to see the current CO2 production), and a kill-a-watt device from Amazon.

### 5/5 — It works. Pge is probably the creator of the bad reviews.

*2018-10-15*

I wonder whether pge is fixing these reviews. Seriously, the app is close to flawless. Of course I wouldn’t necessarily do the ui like that, but it works and will really give you a ton of information and a quick way to establish which plan is ACTUALLY better (not the online bs that pge hands you). So good job and keep up the good work.

### 5/5 — Saved me a lot of money

*2018-05-01*

I was having solar with e6 plan and thought I had it all figured out until I saw that with EV-a plan I get four kWh at night for every kWh produced at peak. I don’t mind paying the subscription, pays for itself.

### 5/5 — Used App for a year

*2018-02-18*

I used this App for a year. It’s purchase price included a one year license. I used this App to keep track of my first year of owning Solar, it was great! During this year I was able to use the data to change my PG&E rate plan and save money. A license for an additional year is IMO too expensive and I will not be renewing. With all the cost benefit to be had in the first year, I can’t justify the additional subscription price for what has become very interesting data, but no longer of cost benefit.
SUMMARY - If you go Solar, PG&E website rate plan analysis tools are no longer available to you. This App is a must have to determine the correct rate plan for your usage pattern.

### 5/5 — Please read!!!

*2017-08-08, version 1.6*

Anybody reading this that has had trouble with data updates from 4/20/17 - 5/1/17, don't worry! I've spoken to the developer and learned that PG&E changed things on their end making the app require modification. They assure me it's fixed and all the missing data will roll in in the next day or so.
I've been using this app for over a year and it's a MUST HAVE for solar owners such as myself.
Agreed it wasn't the easiest to find the contact info, but a search for NDILI TECHNOLOGIES did the trick. Perhaps the developer can put better info in app, but whatever... I found 'em.
I hate seeing a great product's rating get trashed when all they're (the developer) trying to do is make something better than the crap PG&E expects us to live by; confusing at best...
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product and am so happy they are fixing it. Worth every penny!

*UPDATE 5/2/17*
It's officially working!

*UPDATE 8/7/17*
I had another disruption in updates lasting about a week before I called again for support. Again, with a single call (I don't want to post their number here, just google NDILI TECHNOLOGIES), my issue got resolved. HOW MANY OTHER COMPANIES CAN YOU SAY THAT ABOUT THESE DAYS? I wish I could give more than 5 stars...

### 5/5 — Very useful

*2017-06-02*

I was concerned by the negative reviews, but I trusted Tombolian's May 2 review indicating corrections had been made. I installed the app after having just spent hours calculating my own "what if" scenario analysis of various rate plans from a year of past data downloaded from PG&E. I was very pleased that this app confirmed my analysis.

### 5/5 — Excellent App!!

*2017-03-29, version 1.6*

This is the app I have been waiting for. It will load up all of your PG&E electricity use data and make it meaningful. An awesome tool to compare how your bill would change going from one rate plan to another. Easily worth the $8. Kudos to the team whose hard work brought this very useful app to the market!

3/28/17 - my only concern is that the rate schedules are not updated in a timely manner. Rate schedules are now a year out-of-date.
