But I could never get the printer to connect. To print a picture I would have to back out of the program to print. It’s upsetting when people have to redo their photos. I really hope this bug gets fixed ASAP. ### 1/5 — Don’t buy! *2020-07-18, version 13.3.1* Bought this app for a wedding Photobooth after reading about it online. I bought the exact same setup that the developer recommends on there website, including the canon selphy cp1300 printer. I even bought this iPad specially for this (huge mistake). The app would recognize the printer on the printer select settings screen but not in the finalized photobooth. Printer works fine in every other app. I made many attempts to reach the developer for support through email, their website, and even Facebook with no response. To make matters worse, Apple refuses to give me a refund for some inexplicable reason (this is the first app I’ve ever bought from the App Store and definitely my first return attempt). Steer clear unless your trying to burn $13. ### 1/5 — Where is the support *2020-07-08, version 13.3.1* The app would be great if it would recognize my default printer even after I pick it. I reached out to get support. No response yet. I'm guessing it's broken from ipadOS. But as far as photobooth apps on the iPad this one is straightforward. I'd recommend just using the normal camera app though ### 1/5 — Customer service is non existent *2020-05-15, version 13.3.1* I have emailed customer service numerous times about issue with this app and have not received any responses. The app does not print landscape pictures correctly. I uploaded my own design to go with landscaping pics when iPad is turned for landscape picture taking the photos are printed portrait therefore squishing the photos to 4 x 2 1/4 vs 4 x 6 The welcome screen is a hit or miss. Sometimes it appears but most times it does not. iPad crashes periodically. I just bought a new iPad i was working with an iPad mini 2 previously & thought new iPad would solve issues but now i have new issue with printing. The app recognizes & sees my printer but it doesn’t save it so when i go to print it save no default printer. ### 1/5 — App keeps crashing, no SSID and customer service is nonexistent! *2020-04-29, version 13.3.1* Worked great for a few photos with my home WiFi and now keeps crashing like crazy. I bought a brand new iPad so I could print with SSID and the app is not following through. The worst part is I emailed the company twice with no response. The welcome page which says welcome to our event with instructions doesn’t appear after selecting “finish” in settings so all guest sees is “take a picture”. I have guided access on. Which is needed for event. 2. App kept crashing after a few pictures. 3. I uploaded my own background & when getting ready to print on screen shows landscape 4 x 6 but it actually prints 4 x 2 1/2 so all 6 pictures are 1 inch in size I have emailed & messaged MyPhotobooth numerous times over several months & have not received ONE response ### 2/5 — Printing *2020-03-14, version 13.3.1* The app works i’m I’m having issues with my printer it won’t connect ### 2/5 — Loved the previous version but not happy about the updates *2020-01-02, version 13.3* First of all, I’ve been using this app since 2016 and have had no complaints until now. It looks like it has recently been redesigned and although the interface is a lot cleaner and simpler, some of my favorite features have been removed. Previously, I could upload my own custom designed template art and it would be placed over the photos. That meant I could create my own shapes and transparent areas that would knock out to reveal the photos taken underneath. Now, it appears that’s no longer an option, and I’m stuck with the app’s predetermined rectangles because any photos taken lay on top of my custom template art. Another huge problem is that the app now mirrors photos and no longer flips them like before. If you have props with any sort of writing on them, the app now mirrors them so all of the words are backwards. This was a huge bummer as I just had a New Years party and didn’t realize this feature had changed, so it was unfortunately apparent in a lot of my attendees’ photos. I would absolutely love to use this app for my wedding in June this year and other events as I’ve been doing for the past 4 years. I’ve even recommended it to several people for their own events. But sadly, until updates have been made to fix issues that weren’t there in the previous version, there is no way I can confidently use it any longer. ### 3/5 — Nice app, but... *2020-01-02, version 13.3* I purchased this app for a New Years Eve celebration. Everyone enjoyed using the app but when reviewing the pictures the writing on the banner used as a background were backwards. The camera never inverted the writing to read Happy New Year. Also the app kept crashing. I would recommend this to everyone. *** BUT! It’s still a little buggy. After having set everything, the app would crash and reset after people took 8 to 10 photos. I’m assuming it could only handle a certain number of pictures before it crashed. I had to reset everything 3 to 4 times throughout the event. To my surprise this was the excitement of the night! My family and guests took lots of photos. The shared their photos through email and Facebook, which made it very convenient for everyone to have memories of the party. The app it self is very easy to use. I could choose from many different background which are also customizable. The set up is also easy, since it prompts you on what steps to take next. What’s really cool is you can make a custom logo and upload it as a design for a border. My family and friends had so much fun taking photos during our BBQ. We took hundreds of photos. We set up a tripod with an adapter to mount this iPad. We used our white wall as a background. So it's like a d.i.y. photo booth everywhere you go. The design of the fun props is cool. I love how I can easily customize the boarders, props and logos. This app has customizable layouts of the themes you desire. I love how I was able to instantly print, email and upload to Facebook instantly. This app worked perfectly! I especially liked the option to customize how you want each photo strip to look, this made for lots of printer friendly photos to take home that I was able to email to all the guests who attended my party. I was also able to create a layout that had my sons picture as the logo and our friends and family in the photos surrounding him, totally making our photo-booth sessions a time to remember. We used this app for my husband's birthday party and it worth every penny we spent on it. We were first planning to invite a professional photographer, but after learning the prices they are charging we changed our mind. Having an iPad photo booth became a very original and cheap alternative for us. All our guests loved it! The app is very intuitive and easy to use even for non tech savvy users, even for our grandparents who don't like electronic photos. I was looking for something that would be customizable and easy for everyone to use. This app checked all the boxes. At an affordable price, the app offers an easy to follow set up and the ability to customize for each specific event. The background options provided are nice, but being able to add designs of your own is a real bonus. You can even add your own logo or small images. It was also great to have different options for the layout (portrait vs landscape) and different number of pictures. Snapping the pictures has been so easy and I love the feature that allows for retakes of a specific photo in the session. Printing has also been a breeze, but sharing via email and Facebook has been the real star when a large group took advantage of the photo booth. It is a great way to share the photos from the party quickly and without using a lot of paper and ink. The versatility of the app, allowing printing or sharing digitally, makes me love the app even more. With photo booths you have a printed strip that often can be a challenge to add to social media, but with this app, that is no longer a problem. This app is a great budget friendly way to bring the fun of a photo booth to any party you might be having. Just be sure to get a solid stand for your iPad and to set the “Guided Access” so guests cannot access anything on your iPad other than the app. ### 5/5 — Bridal Shower Success *2019-10-12, version 13.1* I used this app for my bridal shower. I can’t believe how much fun this is. I was so happy to find an inexpensive route to a photo booth. Being on a tight wedding budget, I wanted to make sure I could get fun photos with everyone that came to celebrate! I love that my iPad got used instead of sitting on the coffee table. The kiddos that were there enjoyed it. With the locking feature, I didn’t have to worry about them deleting anything. I also loved the feature of making your own border with our names in it! I got nothing but good reviews from people at the bridal shower saying how easy it was to email and Facebook their pictures right at the event and always have them instead of waiting to get them back like a normal photo booth. Then once onsite, I tweaked the tripod positioning and WiFi printer setup and voila! I didn’t have enough time to figure out how to set my own border, but would have liked the ability to set a simple background color. Everyone loved the ability to print their own keepsake and to also post to our reunion Facebook group! I love having them all in my photo folder! My only enhancement would be to add a shutter click sound when it takes the picture after the countdown!
