### 2/5 — Takes so long to use

*2023-02-22*

Are there any plans to fix this app? Log in, wait 5 minutes for it to load and for the screen to become interactive. When it finally works, it forces me to review the previous sitter, then freezes for another 5 minutes before I can actually put in my sitting request. It's faster to email them. For a $33/hour service, I expect better.

### 2/5 — Technically works but incredibly difficult to use

*2022-07-19, version 3.3.7*

It has a little red notification that is impossible to get to go away, it freezes every time I open it, it doesn't let me click on profiles 80% of the time, but it gets 2 stars since it does technically work if you're willing to spend an hour scheduling a sitter.

### 2/5 — Perhaps convenient, but unreliable and variable quality

*2022-05-12, version 3.3.7*

The scheduling is convenient; but the sitters come at above market value and are of variable quality. Some awesome, some scary. Ownership does not take any responsibility and are difficult to reach. I’d say avoid.

### 3/5 — H E L P ME STAY ORGANIZED.

*2021-12-10, version 3.3.7*

The app is convenient but I would prefer if I could connect my CNS calendar and assignments to my email/personal calendar, such as my gmail or apple monthly calendar. I am already organizing my current work schedule on there, and with the other tasks and responsibilities and notifications I get for each, it would overall be helpful to see my on call and BACU shifts added to my personal calendar as well.

### 3/5 — Glitches

*2021-07-11, version 3.3.7*

Sometimes I don’t have to log in and sometimes I do. Pages sometimes won’t load. The calendar sometimes won’t load. Sometimes I can’t scroll to submit and have to clear a time sheet and reload the app.

### 3/5 — App issues

*2021-04-21, version 3.2.99*

My app won’t allow me to log in no matter what I try. I’ve updated the app, my phone and changed my password but I’m unable to login.

### 2/5 — Ok app but slow and glitchy

*2020-11-20, version 3.2.98*

This app is ok but everything takes forever to load. I open the app and wait. I tap Scheduled Care and wait. I search for available sitters and wait. It’s super slow and frustrating.

Also, there have been scheduling glitches. I’ll schedule a sitter who shows up as available in my region when in fact they are either not available at that time, or they are not in my region. Some unconfirmed sitters stay in the scheduled care page for months on end and I cannot delete them (annoying but not a huge problem).

I agree with other reviews that I should have the option to decline to review a sitter until the 2nd or 3rd visit.

### 2/5 — The Latest Update Still Has Bugs

*2020-07-22, version 3.2.94*

There are many parts of this app that have been fixed since their big overhaul, however it is slooooooow at loading. Every time my husband and I open the app, it constantly takes a good 15 seconds to load up. Also, it always asks both of us to rate the previous sitter that we had, even if we already gave our input for his/her shift! We will rate a sitter for yesterday’s shift and then when EITHER one of us opens the app it asks us to rate that person for the same shift again!

### 3/5 — Definitely room for improvement

*2020-04-05, version 3.2.9*

Would be nice to remove cancelled assignments from calendar and a way to actually review timesheets without having to contact resource center. I shouldn’t have to do that to review the past 2 weeks. Would also like the ability to preview how nanny profiles look to the parents.

### 3/5 — Could be Better

*2019-12-09, version 3.1.7*

This app is alright. It serves its purpose. It does not load immediately, as in, takes a few seconds and feels “jittery”.

Also something I dislike, is when I have my ‘assignment’ open, I’d like to be able to highlight text, so I can copy and paste information. None of the text is highlightable.

Another thing, when you’re in your ‘Assignments’ tab, it would feel more natural to just click the entire rectangle—not a separate magnifying glass button—to open your assignment.

There should be a notification page. It pops up as a badge but I can never find where/what my notification is. 🤷🏻‍♀️

### 2/5 — terrible loading and format

*2019-10-08, version 3.1.7*

The app always takes a long time to load and fails to load many times. It also can have a confusing format for setting times. Right now my app won’t get rid of a notification (“1” on the app on home screen) even though when I open it I’ve done everything already. It needs to be redesigned more efficiently and effectively.

### 2/5 — Needs some fixing

*2019-08-08, version 3.1.7*

I have an iPhone 8’s, app is ALWAYS freezing. The calendar rarely scrolls properly. I have to click calendar then assignments multiple times in order to scroll through the calendar tab. I always have 2 notifications showing on the app but when I click in it, nothing shows what those notifications are. Had a job last night, couldn’t even submit a timesheet for it. I had to go on the website itself to submit time. Also wish the “details” in the assignment showed as much details that the emails show. Like contact name so when I’m going to a corporate event I don’t have to go through my email to find the persons name I’m looking for.

### 2/5 — So Slow

*2019-07-02, version 3.1.7*

This app is great for confirming assignments and checking information and addresses. However, no matter when I get on or what part of the app I go to, it always has to load. Sometimes it takes awhile to load. It’s really frustrating.

### 3/5 — It’s okay, You guys can improve this app

*2019-06-28, version 3.1.7*

It’s super slow when it’s loading. Takes forever. 3 star for simplicity of the app. There’s glitches where there would be notifications even though I checked it already.

### 2/5 — Review

*2019-05-16, version 3.0.31*

App is very slow. On multiple occasions and on a couple different tabs on the app I have not been shown the whole page and have not been able to scroll down. This is including when I have been updating time sheets.

### 2/5 — Glitchy

*2019-04-30, version 3.0.31*

This app is terrible. It wouldn’t accept my sign in and then I kept getting a message that the app wasn’t accepting any data so I had to try multiple times to get a sitter. I was finally able to do it however, so it gets 2 stars.

### 3/5 — Notification icon

*2019-04-14, version 3.0.31*

The notification icon is not able to be cleared. It keeps going up and seeing that red number has me on edge thinking I am missing my emails or texts from the company.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Is this an app from the 90’s?

*2022-09-11, version 3.3.12*

Very slow app for some reason it takes too much to load at every single new action. It won’t let contact sitter even a day before the scheduled time. It won’t show contact info from the sitter either and you have to call the office people for anything you need. Which is useless since it’s a weekend and there’s no one to answer the phone.

### 1/5 — Terrible update

*2020-02-17, version 3.2.9*

Old version of the app had a few dumb things but this new update is clunky and slow. It requires me to rate the nanny for the same assignment EVERY SINGLE time I open the app! And it takes so long to move on after I select the times/nanny, and now it’s no longer easy to see whether a nanny has been scheduled (have to go to another screen). Absolutely the worst app

### 1/5 — Reviewing a Nanny: What it means

*2020-01-27, version 3.2.9*

I saw a parent asking what the reviews are for, so here is an answer about what College Nannies does with sitter reviews:
1. Nannies and Sitters are told by their managers to directly ask parents to rate them five stars after each sitter job
2. Nannies are not able to directly view their ratings by parents
3. If a nanny gets lower than 5 stars, they will most likely not be placed with the same family again
4. If a nanny continually gets less than 5 stars from sitter jobs, they type and amount of sitter job they get are restricted
5. For example, a three star review is seen as very bad, like an F. I once received a three star review from one family, and I was told that if I ever got a second rating that low, than the types of jobs I could be assigned for would be cut in half.
6. Nannies feel uncomfortable and hardly ever ask parents for five star reviews, despite their job security depending on it.
7. This rating system is not explained to parents. So if a nanny was great, but got a 4 star review, she still might never return to that family if an alternative nanny is available. A 3 star review can threaten her ability to stay with the company.

### 1/5 — A Nightmare for Employees

*2019-09-16, version 3.1.7*

This app is one of the worst I’ve ever used, and employees for College Sitters are required to use it. It constantly freezes. I literally can’t even scroll through my in-app calendar without it freezing. It takes multiple tries to click on assignments and the app often just closes because it can’t handle clicking between pages. It also doesn’t sync to my Apple calendar, which makes it extremely difficult to keep track of jobs. They were able to update the app with the ability to link the 3rd party gps apps, but not to the calendar app.

### 1/5 — Needs to update ASAP

*2019-08-30, version 3.1.7*

From a Sitters view on this app it makes everything very difficult. The new update really messes up. It constantly will take longer the 3 minutes to load, I can’t see the green dots on my calendar that indicates I have a job that day. On top of that when I try to set my availability I can’t get it to set sometimes and so I have to re-do it all over again! Which isn’t good because if I set it to a time and I get scheduled when I said I wasn’t available because it didn’t update my availability it makes everything thing difficult talking to the managers and trying to explain it to them.

### 1/5 — Freezes

*2019-05-23, version 3.0.31*

Don’t make a mistake when filling out your form because this application will not allow you to go back and correct the mistake. It will just freeze up even on new new phone devices. You’ll have to close the app and start the process all over again. So even though it doesn’t tell you requirements for the form filling if you make mistake, get ready to start the process all over again. It could take a long time to fill out one simple form. Lame.

### 1/5 — Newest Version is FULL of bugs

*2019-05-22, version 3.0.31*

I am a nanny with CNT and the latest version of the app is CONSTANTLY causing me issues. Not updating jobs that come in or changes to the job if it does notify you of the job. Not clearing notifications. Not allowing calendar updates or adding calendar updates for days not specified. IT IS A HOT MESS! Please, just put it back to how it was before. It may have been old but it worked perfectly fine!

### 1/5 — Used to love now I can’t stand it

*2019-05-20, version 3.0.31*

It’s so hard using this app now. It was way easier to see what sitters were available and when with the app before the latest update. Now it is so hard to see what sitters are available. The calendar is just not appealing anymore. Please bring back the old calendar view which was much easier to use and schedule a sitter through.

### 1/5 — Not user-friendly for nannies

*2019-04-19, version 3.0.31*

First, since the recent update the app indicates a notification on the homepage (little red #1) but once I enter the app I have no new assignments or timesheets due. I deleted and reinstalled the app post update multiple times but it didn’t help. Second, I’ve asked my Role Model Manager in the past to ask IT to allow syncing of the app calendar with iPhone or Google calendars so I don’t have to manually enter each job or cross-reference multiple calendars to avoid double-booking. I have no idea if she did, but given the fact you’ve enabled linking to 3rd party navigation apps for directions to assignments I don’t understand why you can’t sync to calendars. This feature is so crucial for those of us with multiple jobs. Please seriously consider adding this feature to make it easier to be an employee!

### 1/5 — No more calendar? So bad.

*2019-04-07, version 3.0.31*

The new update ruined the way we use this app. Without the calendar view, we can't find sitters at all, and we don't know if the problem is that they're not available or if we just aren't inputting the right time. I would roll back to a previous version if I could.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Easy App to use

*2021-08-18, version 3.3.7*

This app is self explanatory and easy to navigate through!

### 5/5 — Nanny

*2019-10-20, version 3.1.7*

Life is always changing, and kids do well with structure. I enjoy keeping the time I have with the kids I nanny, as normal as possible. It’s rewarding to know I’m helping families by being a nanny in their home. “Leave it better.”

### 5/5 — So helpful and convenient

*2019-04-04, version 3.0.31*

Not only is the app amazing and let’s us schedule pre-matched sitters at our convenience, it allows us to provide necessary feedback to CNS+T about our experience. Feedback in the service industry is critical, with every interaction. We love being able to share our thoughts without having to be called or emailed for responses. We truly love the app, the functionality and quality, as well as the service we get from our local team every week. Thanks for all your hard work...it’s noticed as our kids are engaged and learning and we don’t have to worry about (or do) a thing!

### 5/5 — Love how easy it is!!

*2018-12-29, version 2.2.201*

Getting a sitter has never been easier! We love how easily we can request a sitter through the App! It is so nice knowing all of the sitters that show up have gone through the thorough hiring process and would be a good fit for our family!

### 5/5 — Convenient and flexible

*2018-08-07, version 2.2.198*

This app is like no other in childcare. It is both convenient and easy to use

### 5/5 — Great app

*2018-05-31, version 2.2.198*

We’ve been requesting sitters through this app for a number of years and never had any issues. Super easy to use and the customer service is very responsive if you don’t find someone on the app for the date/time you are looking for. College Sitters is really there for you. The service provided by the sitters is outstanding and my kids are always excited when they come. Would highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Does what I need!

*2018-03-07, version 2.2.193*

It’s a solution to an always problem - who is available? The app allows you to do basic functions such as seeing who’s available on the date I need a sitter. I can book them from my phone without having to wait from a response from the office (often last minute or after hours). You can get the sitters contact info which is nice. I would like to be able to remove a sitter from my view, but since I can see their name and photo I just don’t select them. Super user friendly, works for our needs!

### 5/5 — Genius solution!

*2017-09-06, version 2.2.181*

College nannies is a fantastic, safe child care solution for young or older children. The app is well designed and easy to use!

### 4/5 — Upgrade!

*2020-08-03, version 3.2.94*

The app it’s working so much better now. Thank you for all the help you’re having from you. You really appreciate a lot.
Mia & André

### 4/5 — Not into the new update

*2019-07-03, version 3.1.7*

The app itself is cool and when I first got it, it was very easy to use. The new update makes things difficult. From a sitter’s perspective, it won’t allow me to take a day off. Sometimes I’ll have to go in 3-4 times and keep taking the same day off until the app actually says ‘not available’. I have my schedule set on automatic around my school time so I have it all set and ready to go but for some reason, my manager will still tell me that I need to put in my hours for the upcoming weeks while on my app, it shows me my exact hours. It also makes it difficult to set my schedule in advance. When I try to set it for ‘all Tuesdays & Thursday’s’ for example, it’ll delete my availability for all the other days. Eventually, it’ll work but it takes a loooong for me to toy with it to get it how I want it. Overall, it’s a good app but they really need to bring back the old version or put out a new version that fixes these glitches because it does make things a lot harder.
