Spot check inventory is a life saver. Even learned the Thomas Merton prayer thru using toolkit. (Couldn’t remember it). All the prayers an Alcoholic need right there! My spiritual tool kit has kept me on track, and my alcoholic brain calm cool and collected. Also really enjoy the gratitude list and the nightly inventory. They’re very easy to use. My wish is that there would be a way. In the nightly inventory to give examples or explain behaviors for each of the sections. I emailed them and they never responded. I had to look back at records to make sure I had the correct date to put in Google Calendar. At my age and with almost ten years sober, I don't have the best memory. AA is a non profit organisation and to be affiliated with AA so strongly I think this should follow suit and rely on contributions, not demand subscriptions from people. This app charges users to share their nightly inventory. That’s not an extra feature—that’s a core practice for many of us in recovery. Putting that behind a paywall is exploitative. It’s like charging someone for their 4th Step notebook. Even if they claim to donate some profits to AA (which is unclear and unverified), it goes against AA’s Seventh Tradition: “Every A.A. group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.” This app is not a group. This is a business, and it’s profiting off a spiritual program that explicitly rejects commercialism. I’m not against digital tools for recovery. But monetising Step 10 is not just inconvenient—it’s unethical. Please don’t support this kind of recovery capitalism. Use a journal. Use Notes.
