### 2/5 — App could work better

*2026-07-24, version 6.1.1*

Biggest complaint: Custom programs. I should be able to adjust manually and save a custom program name, then retrieve it anytime. Instead all you get “last custom program”, which I find to be useless.

### 3/5 — Hearing aid volume

*2026-07-23, version 6.1.1*

The app is great but I would like hearing aid volume adjustment have numbers as it’s very difficult to understand where my comfort point is

### 3/5 — 6.1.1 update

*2026-07-17, version 6.1.1*

After this update, I’m experiencing app freezes and difficulty with the app loading. Not happy with how the app is working with my hearing aids after this update.

### 3/5 — Health data reporting is inconsistent.

*2026-07-09, version 6.1.1*

Still in the trial period with Omegas. One of the attractions is the health monitoring. Unfortunately, the app’s reporting is unreliable. I’ve had my hearing aids in all day long. My Apple Watch says I’ve completed 9,000 steps, the app only thinks I’ve only completed 5,300. It looks like the app simply decided to ignore about 2 hours of input. My best guess is that I left the app showing the hearing report and this caused it to ignore updates. Speaking of the hearing report, one simple annoyance is that the daily report is often wrong. Right now, the day report says that I’ve been wearing them 8 hours and 40 minutes, but if I switch to week view I see 11 hours and 46 minutes.

These inconsistencies make it hard to put any faith in the numbers that the app reports.

### 2/5 — Won’t connect

*2026-06-23, version 6.1.1*

App cannot detect my Oticon hearing aides. I’ve done everything I can…wife on; hearing aides charged..restarted phone..nothing.

### 2/5 — Lacks phone integration

*2026-06-07, version 6.1.1*

Would like to see this app developed more.
In the app there’s a car setting but is only selectable or location based.
So thinking to myself “aha” great opportunity use apple”shotcut” to automate that every time I plug my carplay into the phone it selects car mode automatically,
But I can’t

Tried to set up a widget on the home screen or even drop down menu to make changing programs easier than loading the app each time but that’s not available either.

This is but a couple things I would like to see, even willing to be a tester.

### 2/5 — App unable to find Aid

*2026-05-14, version 6.1.1*

It’s sad when technology fails. Such is the case here. I misplaced my Left hearing aid on 5/13 5:32 pm. I delete the app and reload it but now it’s a different version. And it won’t allow me to use Find My Hearing Aid.

### 3/5 — Bluetooth and MFI glitches

*2026-04-10*

Since last update Bluetooth and MFI glitching. When streaming and a call comes through connection drops. Can’t turn aids on and off to reset. Have to do a hard reset by putting them in the charger. Sometimes connection drops during a call and iPhone goes to speaker. Will not reconnect unless placed on charger. This is a real pain to deal with. I called Starkey tech support and they claim it is an iPhone issue. I deleted the app and problems went away. Something in the app is wrong. Apple tech support thinks app needs to be updated to match changes to Apple IOS. I depended heavily on Bluetooth and MFI. Very frustrated.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the comment.  Please update to the latest My Starkey app version 6.1.1.

### 2/5 — MacBook support please

*2026-03-30, version 6.0.1*

When I connect my hearing aid to my MacBook m series the sound is jittery meaning the sound signal is arriving inconsistently instead of smoothly and continuously. So I need the app on MacBook please help

### 2/5 — My three cents

*2026-03-24, version 6.0.1*

Hi, I am adding this as my three cents. About the Edge ai m ric hearing aids. I like them. They seem to do their job. I have a bone to pick with Starkey. The addition of health features is in my opinion redundant. I have an Apple Watch don’t need it and it doesn’t work anyway. And no one seems to know what is wrong or how to fix it. I would prefer they focus on the main purpose of the hearing aids which is hearing. Don’t need that extra stuff. And again my three cents. And probably not worth that much.

### 1/5 — Won’t connect

*2026-02-21, version 6.0.0*

I spent an hour trying to pair this app with my Starkey aids. It couldn’t find them. I ended up using a different ap.

### 1/5 — Cannot keep a connection

*2026-02-21, version 6.0.0*

Just purchased new hearing aids and I’m having multiple issues with this app keeping the connection. Do not recommend.

### 1/5 — FRUSTRATING for tech savvy Users.

*2026-02-19, version 6.0.0*

Starkey has failed to realize today's tech savvy users have high expectations. When their customer support team fails to supply solutions for issues like fall alert not working on new HAs, they should not expect that customer's brand loyalty. Further their delay in getting AURACAST support built into the My Starkey app is just unacceptable. The app is overly basic.

UPDATE: Starkey keeps telling me the issue is my HAs are not connecting to the Starkey App, but they ARE connecting. This feature has never worked right and rather than try to determine the actual problem, they keep deflecting to this canned response that isn't based in reality.

### 2/5 — Poorly designed

*2026-02-10, version 6.0.0*

This app is one of the least intuitive that I’ve ever used. Common functions are buried under menus. There’s no feedback to see if your changes are made. The hearing aids themselves are great but to use this app you will need to study take notes watch tutorials, and you will be on the phone with your hearing center. Trying to figure it out.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Ugh

*2026-07-24, version 6.1.1*

Absolutely sucks. Disconnects for no reason and can be impossible to reconnect.

### 1/5 — Not so great.

*2026-06-29, version 6.1.1*

Good at controlling my hearing aids. Poor error recovery. Restart iPhone is not the answer.

### 1/5 — Minimal Functionality

*2026-06-17, version 6.1.1*

While this app may be slightly better than some HA manufacturers offer, it is years behind what is possible on the iPhone with such possibilities as widgets and home screen shortcuts to your custom programs, which would be convenient for anyone using this. It seems like the app is an afterthought, just something barely functional so they can say they offer an iPhone app.

### 1/5 — Stopped Connecting To TV Streamer Box

*2026-05-25, version 6.1.1*

The app stopped connecting to the TV streamer box and the company has things set up as frustratingly as possible in order to make you give up quickly and not bother them to fix things…

### 1/5 — Constantly losing pairing

*2026-05-20, version 6.1.1*

The hearing aids do not stay paired. Every morning I have to pair then even if I did not tire off Bluetooth. If I go out when I return I have to shut them off and pair them again. Why is that?

### 1/5 — Erratic

*2026-05-15, version 6.1.1*

Loses contact with HAs for no reason, refuses to reestablish

### 1/5 — So very disappointed

*2026-05-14, version 6.1.1*

I tried the Starkey brand last year and lost and found my champagne colored hearing aid on a 1.5 acre desert property one time, and the app guided me to the T as to where my aid had fallen out, it was AMAZING. Purchased my second pair this year my Audiologist paired my aids after I updated my app. Two days later, I lost one aid in my house, and the app was not connected after the Audiologist had paired them only two days earlier, so I had to go on a blind search, NO BENEFIT of the excellent finder from the year before. So, I went back to the Audiologist and he paired the aids a second time. Again, a few days later, I lost one my desert property, again, no longer paired from 48 hours before, so money down the drain on the aids and THIS APP IS NOW THE WORST IN THE WORLD cuz it can’t stay connected to the aids. (With so much sun, I wear sunglasses and a visor in the desert, and I sometimes fling off my aids). Never Starkey hearing aids or their app EVERY AGAIN, the aids can’t stay connected to the app.

### 1/5 — Starkey problematic

*2026-04-24, version 6.1.1*

Second pair of Starkey not working. First pair used silicone replacements which were difficult to replace because they are tiny require placing it over an also tiny stump to seat properly.

### 1/5 — Junk

*2026-04-10, version 6.1.0*

They constantly disconnect there is no way to turn them off to get them to re pair without the charger. Get with it Starkey and fix your dam app. Shouldn’t have these problems when you charge as much as you do. Very unsatisfactory

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work with ipad

*2026-03-08, version 6.0.1*

My hearing aids used to work with my ipad, but now the app says it can’t find my hearing aids. The app works fine on my phone. I’ve tried reloading the app several times, hard resets, checking to see if I need to connect through accessibility, or bluetooth. Nothing works. My hearing specialist could offer no help. I miss being able to use my hearing aids with this app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Feature Wanted

*2026-07-31, version 7.0.0*

I use the “Loop” program frequently. When using this program the single volume control changes the hearing aid microphone volume and the loop volume simultaneously. Currently, if I raise the loop volume the hearing aid microphones are raised as well, which raises the ambient sounds all around me, which is counter productive to getting the clearest possible assistive listening experience.

A separate volume control is required for the hearing aid microphone volume independent of the loop volume.

I have worn hearing aids for 15 years and my previous brand of hearing aids I owned had 2 separate volume controls for the loop program.

MyStarkey app has a separate volume control for the hearing aid microphones independent from the “Streaming” volume.

Please add a separate volume control for the hearing aid microphones when in the loop program.

I love the Omega AI 24s hearing aids!!

### 5/5 — Easy to use and adjust

*2026-07-13, version 6.1.1*

I really like using this app with my Omega hearing aids. It is easy to make adjustments when I move into noisy settings. I like the way that there are several options in the edge mode. I also find it easy to create custom settings for special situations such as when I am biking or in a church worship service.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-07-01, version 6.1.1*

User friendly, no issues whatsoever

### 5/5 — App review

*2026-04-30, version 6.1.1*

Good quality app, simple for general controls, great Edge mode feature when in noise

### 5/5 — Useful App

*2026-04-30, version 6.1.1*

Really useful for adjusting my hearing aids as and when required

### 5/5 — Bluetooth and MFI glitches

*2026-04-15, version 6.1.1*

Since I posted. Starkey updated its app. Things are working good now. Connectivity is much better. Zoom and Microsoft Teams work good. Always had issues before. I appreciate the fast response from Starkey. With hearing loss in the profound range and I am a heavy power user I can’t do without hearing aids. My job requires a lot of online meetings and a lot of phone use. Can’t do without my hearing aids. You will be happy with Omega AI. Can’t wait to learn more about auracast and find ways to use it.

### 5/5 — Review

*2026-02-05, version 6.0.0*

Easy to use. Love the self check feature. Excited to try the new Auracast streaming option.

### 5/5 — Seamless connection to iPhone 17 pro

*2026-01-06, version 5.1.2*

The Omega Ai hearing aids connected so quickly and easily to my new phone. The app recognized the connection instantly and I didn't have to do anything to set it up. I like how I can use voice assistant to help me make adjustments to my aids

### 5/5 — Works great with Omega AI hearing aid!

*2025-12-24, version 5.1.2*

So far the app works great! Very polished and responsive. Not buggy at all on my iPhone 16 pro. The only feedback I have is that I wish there was a toggle button for Tinnitus. I discussed this with my audiologist and learned that it takes more power/battery life when it’s on but I don’t need it on all the time, I only get tinnitus once in while from air pressure changes. So it would be very useful to have an option or setting to turn it on or off without needing to go back to the audiologist office. Also, changes to tinnitus profiles would be cool too. Also, why can’t we add music as a custom program? It seems it’s only for professional programs. Just kind of odd.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-12-11, version 5.1.2*

Incredible app - very intuitive interface and easy to use
