It would be much better if one could write you notes with your fingers or a stylos right next to the verse. Please try to write an update that will enable user to WRITE notes instead of typing. I spent numerous hours looking for an app that would accommodate my need. This is the best answer I found. I recommend it. You can look at the verses and record your notes without changing app or windows. Very intuitive to use. The developer contacted me and after much time and effort found the problem with the version not loading and hanging up. This seems to have fixed the problem. This is a comprehensive app that when working right ( 8-) ), Has the ability to quickly search for verses, color code favorite verses, color code by topic, like commandments, promises, etc. The color coding is not intrusive, it is a color chip that is obvious but not in the way. You have the ability to take sermon notes and link verses referenced in the sermon. Time, place, speaker are also options. The ability to study and cross reference in terms of linking verses and having the comments about verses stay with the verse even when changing the bible version. Nicely done! Thanks Bob for sticking to it and finding the problem and fixing it. 8-) ### 4/5 — Exactly what I was looking for... *2011-06-29, version 1.1.0* ... In an iPad bible app. When I'm at church or at bible study, I don't want to keep paging back and forth between the bible and my notes. With an iPhone app, you don't really have the real estate, but this is for an iPad! I always wanted a side-by-side bible text and note space, and so far I haven't seen any other apps put it together like this one. In the recent update, now I don't have to only read the KJV... Which is awesome! Did I want to pay $7 for that upgrade? No not really, but hopefully that's just the cost of licensing to the developers. No, this app isn't the prettiest. The user interface isn't exactly what you might call "effortless" or "natural" but once you fiddle around with it, you can figure it out. There is a lengthy wordy tutorial, but as a note to the developers, some picture examples might be helpful too. 4/5 stars because it's everything I ever wanted out of a bible app, but a clunky UI which makes typing away not as effortless as I wanted means minus a star. Side note: I'd rather have 1 typing style for all my notes than have 5 different heading styles that I'm never going to use, so that I can tap anywhere in my notes and easily change what I wrote. ### 4/5 — Very good app! *2011-05-11, version 1.0.4* I am still learning all the features, but so far it is way ahead of other study bible apps that I have tried. I would like to see a few more versions such as ESV, NKJV and TLB for ease of adding additional readings. I think it would also be helpful to be able to add notes not linked to verses in the Bible Study section. perhaps a separate section for notes like there is for Favorites. This will be a very useful app! ### 4/5 — I need more . . .
