But it’s still far behind in functionality compared to many other bank apps. It does the basics fine but that’s about it. No debit card controls, no account opening ability, and the Zelle integration is awkward. ### 2/5 — Not Great *2025-07-18, version 5.5.57* Synovus’s app and website leave a lot to be desired. Login in with face recognition worked for like a week and hasn’t worked for a couple years since. Pending transactions don’t make much sense. If you have a mortgage and a bank account with Synovus, it’s really clunky. I guess they’re totally silo’d divisions and the two departments don’t really talk to each other. I switched from Bank of America because the service at my local branch was infinitely better. However, I do miss the BofA website/app which was more functional and much easier to use. ### 1/5 — No card lock *2025-07-17, version 5.5.57* Someone stole my card information for Amazon and google and everything I could find said I could lock that card but there was no option and calling didn’t help either. I had to go to the bank and get my card shredded. The app doesn’t even show the remaining statement balance for my card. It only shows the total balance. So there’s no way to know how much one needs to pay in order to pay off the monthly balance due. I can’t even access statements on the app so I can’t even calculate it myself. The bank only sends paper statements and doesn’t even email me a digital copy. I closed my Synovus banking account and will likely cancel this credit card, too. It’s not worth the hassle. ### 1/5 — For 2025 this app is junk *2025-09-11, version 5.5.66* App worked fine in unremarkable for years. Had to reset my phone after getting a repair. Try to log in with known good password and app says incorrect password. Go to website and enter same password using password manager and it works. Change password, delete and reinstall app try again. Same thing. App fails and website works. Tried manually entering password. Fail. Tried changing it again on app. Failed. Go to web it works. Reboot phone. Delete app again failed.
