My biggest frustration is the login experience. Adding biometric authentication like Face ID would make logging in much more convenient, and it would be helpful to have an option to remember trusted devices so two-factor authentication isn’t required every time. The overall design also feels more like a webpage than a native mobile app. It would be great if the experience were redesigned to feel more like a modern banking or financial services app. Additionally, the app currently isn’t compatible with iPad, which is disappointing for users who prefer managing finances on a larger screen. Overall, the app works, but the usability and design lag behind other financial apps. If it weren’t for the lower interest rate I have with UWM, the app experience alone would make me consider another lender. ### 3/5 — Great app but no biometric login *2026-02-05, version 1.22* It would be a great, very much needed addition to have a login without typing the password every time. Why is the app not supporting Face ID? First time I ever write a review. The app is so frustrating to navigate. You try and chat with a live agent and it literally kicks you off the chat. I tried speaking to 5 agents. I don’t know what you guys are doing, we all invested with the company. Please fix these issues if not I’ll refinance with another company. ### 1/5 — Bad app, worthless just delete *2025-06-21, version 1.18.1* Always having issues with accessing the app! ### 1/5 — Comically bad app *2025-06-13* Review is in reference to the actual functionality of the app, not the mortgage provider- it’s almost comical how one of the nations largest providers of mortgages, a billion dollar company, can have such a poor excuse of an app. Zero functionality to be able to save a password using a password manager, no FaceID support, no PassKey support. Once you are in, almost everything loads essentially in an in app browser. The app is a glorified web page loader. There’s a disruptive chat icon that can’t be minimized, fonts that are clipped and cut off. Again, comical for a business worth over $5B. ### 1/5 — Why? *2025-05-31, version 1.18.1* I’ve tried to log into my account every month, my username and password (secure on Apple) and yet still unable to log into my account says, you don’t recognize information. It is so frustrating, what kind of app allows one to see mortgage and to make mortgage payments and doesn’t allow one to log in. Let me mention, after I make a payment over phone only then can I log in with NO problem. Why do you claim: one thing and not service it? Disappointing and frustrating to know end. ### 1/5 — AVOID AVOID AVOID *2025-04-02, version 1.18.1* I hate leaving reviews about companies within the app because I think app reviews should reflect the app quality…well the app is terrible… but I REALLY don’t like this company if it was a good app… THANKS GOODNESS they sold my loan to Mr.Cooper as they manage it soooo much better and answer my questions WAYYY better. For your next home, ask your lender if they plan to sell your loan off and see what company they plan to sell to… id it’s Wholesale United Mortgage, tell them your not interested unless they change that. ### 3/5 — Some small tweaks *2025-03-31, version 1.18.1* The app is good but needs small tweaks. Although I know my loan number and login credentials, the only way to access my account is to enter my SSN and birthdate. You should prioritize making it user-friendly and efficient – it's simply unacceptable in this day and age. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Cannot access my loan *2026-05-20* The home page of the app requires you to enter your social security number and your birthdate. However, when I do so it tells me “verification failed” and does not allow me to access my loan. It worked fine for the first 6 months but now all of a sudden it doesn’t recognize my social or birthday. It states that if you continue to have issues to call the number listed below on the front of the app. When you call and eventually get through the automated service to a customer service representative, they say they cannot help with the app. When you ask to be put in touch with someone who can, they don’t have anyone they can hand you off to that can help. I ended up getting transferred in circles, only to finally give up. Use at your own risk. Little to no support and the app may or may not work. ### 1/5 — Zero Stars *2026-03-23, version 1.22.1* Why in the world do i have to put in my Social and DOB just to open the App.?? I don’t mind putting in the ‘usual’ log in (email/PW) but not inputting my social or birthday. No way. What’s even worse: attempting to log onto ‘uwm.loanadministration’ from my IPAD throws a “NOT SECURE” message. That is: not an https: website. How can UWM have a ‘not secure’ website with the info it has on their customers? Tried to use the link they sent to me in an email: again, NON-https site. Wretched sites/apps in this ‘electronic/data’ age. ### 1/5 — Cant access account for months *2026-02-14, version 1.22* The loan is the on MY name yet my husband can access our loan portal but I can’t?? I turned my loan into a game of trying to keep my interest below 1% - I love all the stats it gives you.
