I love it because I no longer have to check my account balance at the bank. I keep track of all my spending and deposits when I leave the store or make a deposit. So far my budget app has matched my bank account to the penny!!! Also great for reference as you can go back months, even a year to see what and when you spent or received money. I like how it does not require balancing of deposits and expenditures. I'm not a budget minded person and don't care to detail all my income, savings and spending. Terrible app. Buyer beware. *2018-12-03, version 3.1.2* downloaded the weekly budget but really needed the monthly budget. After spending money to upgrade, I can’t even get the “budget +” to open. I’m sure I got scammed. Can’t believe Apple would allow such an app in the App Store. ### 3/5 — Ms. *2018-01-15, version 3.1.2* The concept is exactly what I was looking for, but once the new week starts you can't change anything for the last week. For example, I forgot to put in dinner last night and my new weeks starts today, I can't fix that. Also, if you choose to carry over money from last week, or choose not to, you can't go back and change your mind. It also gives you the option to change your budget or carry over any balance. The weird thing is the categories-for example, food is broken down into Chinese, Thai, Italian, etc. Most people don't monitor that spending but they would wonder how much is spent on pizza. Pros-very easy to use Cons-can't go back to previous week if you forgot an entry, weird categories Suggestion-allow for you to see total spent per category, for example: how much do I spend on pizza every month? I really wish I had the option to use previous carry over in a specific "saving" category without adding it to current weekly budgets. This would help me see how much I have been saving, in case I want to make a big purchase or save my roll over money for a vacation. ### 4/5 — Love the simplicity! *2012-10-22, version 1.5* This is just what I was looking for- a way to keep track of spending without having to jump through hoops. I give it 4 stars because I would like to be able to edit the categories more. I wish I could open a Medical folder and hit the subcategory Dentist and maybe even assign that to a person. Right now you just scroll through a huge list you can't edit trying to find just the right thing before you give up and have to add yet another item. Helps keep track of spending very easily. I especially like that what I over- or under- spent can be carry over to the following week. Four stars instead of five because I think it would be a nicer app if there's an option to put aside money for a particular item. Also, when putting in category, it would be nice if I could just type it in instead of having to create a new category. That way, I would know what I spent it on more accurately (i.e. starbucks vs coffee). ### 4/5 — Very useful app. *2012-06-20, version 1.4.3* I awoke this morning thinking it would help to track my food spending weekly to stay on budget, and viola!, here is the perfect app for it. The interface is quite simple and makes inputting transactions a cinch. The one downside is that I would like to have per-category budgets be an option, so I could see how much I have left to spend on food separately from what remains to spend on pets, etc. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — The best app to micro budget *2020-03-01, version 3.1.2* It’s like having an allowance for when you're older. I personally use it for my non-bill related transactions. Things like coffee, meals, gas, and day to day expenses. The single best feature is that you can set the starting date for your budget each week. Not everyone wants to start on a Sunday or a Monday. I start mine on Friday so that know if is did a good job and stayed under budget all week, I can spend a little more on the weekend. If not, then try harder next week. The interface for adding entries is fast, simple, only needs two items of info. The amount and any category. I created a few custom categories that are generic enough to cover most interactions or you can use it to get very detailed. ### 5/5 — My Weekly Budget, from Mr. Very Pleased *2019-09-30, version 3.1.2* I’m very pleased with M.W.B. It’s a no-brainer, straight forward app without unnecessary rhetoric. It’s simple to set up and presents me with an immediate view of my balance. Just in case my phone explodes, I do keep my checkbook alive.
