Example: my 20 hour maintenance occurred in September but they want me to record it in June. Records are not editable. Won’t allow me to enter my motors Primary ID in the app. Says it doesn’t recognize it even though my motors are both under warranty. and clearly registered. So their database is obviously not kept up to date. Terrible interface as well. Unfortunately, the app is buggy and provides a poor user experience. When adding a new boat, some of the details I entered were not saved, and when selecting my preferred dealer, the entire form reset, clearing my entries. I performed my 20-hour service and tried to enter it in the app. I was unable to change the service type when entering, so now I have entries for both "ANNUAL MAINTENANCE SERVICE" and the reminder for the "INITIAL /20 HOUR SERVICE," which will not clear. Moreover, I am unable to edit the entered maintenance and upload multiple supporting documents. I don't trust this app and will continue to keep my own log. ### 1/5 — Yamaha made this app just yo have an app. *2023-07-13* Useless One example: I recorded my engines with vin pid etc. Unique identification When I need to look for parts it requests again the engine number, and then the app is unable to identify the engine. This is an example of user experience careless ### 1/5 — Trip information hasn’t been working for a year *2023-05-02* I bought a new 70 in 2021. I recorded my trips on the app, it was very helpful. I have not been able to enter any trips from 2023. I even called Yamaha support, but they said sorry, there’s no record of that issue. Please, somebody respond to this and make this app work again!! ### 1/5 — Auto fills Hull ID, wrongly, and won’t allow editing during new boat add. *2023-03-27* Doesn’t seem to be ready for prime time. When adding a new boat it asked for info off warranty card for engine. It then assigned a hull identification number out of thin air, but does not allow correction to real HIN. Also, searched high and low for any sort of support site, with no success. ### 1/5 — Not ready for prime time *2023-01-22, version 1.0.9* Very unintuitive. Doesn’t let you edit mistakes or delete incorrectly. Entered maintenance records. Doesn’t work with android devices very well. ### 1/5 — What a joke *2022-09-22, version 1.0.9* I actually went through to provide all the details, only to lose all the data when it came time to select a preferred dealer. I thought this would be good though to find parts. Wrong. Despite having the serial number and the app able to find the engine in the database, parts were not filtered. Once I filtered myself, the parts selection interface did not fit and panning was not allowed. What is the idea here? The quality of the app does not come close to the quality Yamaha is known for. Can’t wait to see how they build off this ### 5/5 — Amazing customer service! *2021-07-09, version 1.0.4* I couldn’t get the app to work. Jim from Yamaha called me and helped fix the problem. I never expected this but I’m very pleased. Kudos to Yamaha for great customer service! ### 4/5 — Good Start, First of its kind *2021-11-11, version 1.0.4* The app has all the right intentions. It will help you keep track of your Yamaha Outboards service/maintenance. It also creates a good record for resale. It has a few things that could be improved, but it’s the first go for this type of app. It’s worth doing, just stay patient with it. Once you learn it, it’s not too bad. ### 3/5 — Fix maintenance notes *2022-10-12, version 1.0.9* I used the app to record my annual maintenance with lots of notes. Now I can’t find those notes in the app or online in history. Will have to revert to pen and paper as I can’t trust it is actually saving my data for retrieval later. Please fix, I like the idea of having an app to track my boat and outboards and maintenance cycles. I also like the parts look up, been very useful, just wish it automatically filtered the list of motors to my known outboards. ### 2/5 — Could be better *2024-01-24* Have used the app and website off and on for a couple years. Nice to have boat and outboard info in reach. Keep hoping improvements will come. I keep a log book with trip info, maintenance records, and other issues. It would be nice to do it on the fly, but for now pen and paper is more accurate. The only repair or maintenance that can be recorded is annual pm. Even then specifics cant be selected. I got into some bad gas and changed both fuel filters between pm’s. There is no way to log this. The parts look up would good if you could see the list and part numbers. Formatting wont allow me to see it only part of the page can be seen. I need to change the email associated with the account, no way to do that. I keep getting notices to update my account as a newer version update is coming. If there is little improvement, will be freeing up some space on my phone. ### 2/5 — Don’t like app *2023-08-11* I don’t like how when you do a service it doesn't log it correctly and can’t even find it afterwards makes you wounded if it is even recorded or not I always use a back up note pad as a record keeping on service and parts needed. I don’t have confidence in this app. Come on Yamaha you can do better with it. ### 2/5 — Needs work. Needs work to this app. I’m disappointed. ### 2/5 — Pretty Interface - Terrible Functionality *2022-08-23, version 1.0.8* A pretty worthless app! Lots of pretty pictures and video links but the maintenance recording feature is terrible. The app recorded my 20 hour service as an annual service so the app reminds me to do the 20 hour service over and over. I even called Yamaha to get the service deleted so I could start over. I carefully added the 20 service again and the app put it right back in the wrong place! ### 2/5 — Clunky *2022-07-20, version 1.0.8* Others have mentioned cannot edit maintenance. My original 20 hours was already set when I opened it and can’t change it or others.
