I entered my email and I get nothing. And yes I checked my junk folder. All of the features are just what I need. Hoping someone can give me a tip and get the backup to work. Being able to pull up a PDF of an account or a report and view or print is so handy, especially with tax season approaching. ### 4/5 — Just one thing… *2021-09-18, version 1.1.19* I like this app well enough except for one thing: I hate the fact that it doesn’t always keep my transactions in the order in which I enter them. It makes it confusing and irritating trying to find specific ones at times. If the app I had on Android were available for iphone, I’d switch back! As it is this is the best I’ve found for this device. ### 5/5 — Best of the checkbook apps *2021-09-10, version 1.1.19* I love this app. Does things others do, just better. First off it’s not all bogged down with charts, diagrams, budgets, planning, and other junk I never use. Has a running balance. I like to have my balance next to every transaction rather than totals at the top of the page. One of the things I really like is the recurring payments page. The biggest thing it doesn’t automatically add things without you setting it. The other thing I like is you can select bills to see how your balance is affected. It uses your current balance and then you pick and choose which payments you are looking to pay. This is handy when your finances are tight and it makes it so simple to see if you have enough money to pay everything, or, you can juggle around and see which you can cover now without going over. Great feature. I like the watch app too. Doesn’t have a complication but it sits quietly in the dock and updates regularly, or quickly if you do it manually. All in all this is the best checking app around. Update: Added a Home Screen widget that shows the balance of your chosen account from the app. Updates instantly, and the widget opens to the app, that means you can move the app icon off your Home Screen into the library and free up Home Screen space. Just keeps getting better and better because the developer is so responsive. ### 5/5 — Alternative to PocketMoney *2021-05-13, version 1.1.18* I have found this to be a good alternative to PocketMoney. Doesn’t have all the same functionality but really close. Works great for a basic ledger. ### 5/5 — Excellent Program *2021-05-06* MyAccountsPro does just about everything I could ever want from a personal finance program. I would prefer the date to be changeable to dd/mm/yyyy as I get easily confused. Although I have only been using it for a week, it’s fitting nicely with my needs. I have already had feedback concerning the posting of future transactions, from and to specific dates, across all accounts and wouldn’t mark it down just because of one person’s one preference. I am very happy indeed with this program, saves me from worry. **Developer response:** 1. I'm willing to make that an option. Nobody has asked for that so I didn't think to make that an option. 2. If you "check" the checkbox in the bottom left of the transaction list, it will keep the cleared transactions from disappearing. 3. Try it, you won’t regret it ! ### 5/5 — 5 Star App *2020-11-02, version 1.1.14* I had to switch checkbook apps because the old “Pocketmoney” disappeared. This app is a great substitute. It is a register and more. Customer support is top notch. I had a question about it and was contacted within an hour or so with an answer. That is worth it in and of itself. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Very unhappy *2026-05-03, version 1.1.34* This app is not user friendly. I have used numerous apps and this one I can’t figure out and I wished it was able to download to ICloud. If it does I have not figured it out yet. Also when the PIN number shows up you can see the key pad so you better know the key pad because you can barely see it. I suggest don’t waste your money. And if you have more than one iPad go luck getting them to sync ### 1/5 — New update issues *2023-12-01, version 1.1.25* You can’t put the bills in and when you try it completely goes to Home Screen ### 1/5 — App wouldn’t let me add new bill *2023-12-01, version 1.1.25* I tried to add new bill to the recurring section and it just froze or force closed the app. ### 1/5 — Seems devoid of documentation *2021-04-25, version 1.1.17* I hope I’m just missing something, but having seen lots of references to people migrating from the old usable version of PocketMoney I naively assumed there was a way of importing a PocketMoney database (at least as a csv file or something on that order. But if there is I can’t find it, and worse, I can’t find any documentation other than the developer’s blog, which isn’t helpful. As a result there’s no way I can use the app. As I said, I hope I’m just missing something. ### 1/5 — Missing basic features *2021-03-04, version 1.1.16* This app is ok but it’s missing a lot of basic features. Two of them being below. The creator claims it’s capable on all platforms but they are each individual. It should use the cloud so you can edit and track across any device at anytime. Not just focus on one device. Second it’s great you have a backup but you have no restore so you back your stuff up how do you reimport it if needed or switch devices. Lastly he claims to be open to suggestions but doesn’t respond to emails. For an app you have to pay for upfront. Not a fan. There are better options that you can verify all features then do the in app purchase once you know it’s what you want. Months later he still has never responded to our requests or fixed the issues with the app. Yes. 100% sure it’s the right email. We sent you 4. You ignore them all. We have replied to each. This is you and the lies you have in your description. Avoid this developer. ### 3/5 — Great App, Great Support *2021-06-14, version 1.1.18* Update; I am having to leave this app due to being unable to export a backup. I emailed the developer several months ago and he made an attempt at repairing but never resolved the problem. I still believe this is a good app but I cannot live with this issue. Reducing from five stars to three. I was a Pocketmoney user until the developer destroyed it. Then purchased and tried to use several other apps that I was just not happy with. I finally found this app that is simple and easy to use. The first thing I noticed was that the developer had numerous recent updates which means he is involved. I then had a suggestion for the app and emailed the developer, Chris Wagner, with my suggestions. To my surprise he answered me within hours! He made the changes I suggested also. Since then I have emailed him few more times and always get a quick response. So, if you are looking for an easy, simple way to keep up with your finances with a developer that listens to you and wants to help you then this is it. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this app. ### 3/5 — Not seeing the difference *2021-01-08, version 1.1.14* I bought the non professional version over a year ago. I’ve really enjoyed it. Then I seen the chance to upgrade to professional version. So if the first version is good why not try the pro version. So I did but I cannot see anything different. I’m thinking maybe I could sync. my bank account with the pro version but I’m not sure if there is anything different then the first version. ### 3/5 — Great app but missing features *2020-12-18, version 1.1.14* Coming from a loyal client of PocketMoney, this app is the closest I find. However, there is one important feature that’s not in this app - the ability to take a photo or upload a photo of your receipt along with recording the transaction. Can the developer please add this feature? That would be great. ### 3/5 — Still can not export a backup *2020-10-26, version 1.1.14* Not sure what changed in the free version but It stopped being able to export a back up in that version. So I started to look for something else. I liked what the new version offered so I paid for it. I cannot export a back up in this paid app either. I have not changed the phone or any settings in well over two years. And have exported back ups with the free version of myAccounts. It is very frustrating to say the least ### 3/5 — Good but missing one ability *2020-09-09, version 1.1.13* I really like the look and ease of use of this app and enjoy the customization settings. I would give this app 5 stars if you allowed iCloud sync so I can use both my iPad and iPhone to keep track of the same accounts and transactions. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — So Glad I Switched! *2026-02-07, version 1.1.34* I’ve used Accounts3 for years and had been very happy with it until recently when an unresolved bug continued to deduct recurring payments, i.e. Bills, even after I deleted the payment. MyAccountsPro is actually better than my previous check register app, which these days is a debit card app, and I love that the owner continues to update the app. Even if nothing is needed, I would feel better if a tweak was done, at least once a year, to let users know that there is still support behind the app, which I did not have with my previous app. Thank you Christopher Wagner for a job well done! ### 5/5 — Best there is! *2025-09-29, version 1.1.33* I’ve been using this checking register for a number of years and it’s been deadly accurate, while staying fairly basic without a lot of budgeting and planning things I don’t need, use, or want. The future cast in Bills is totally brilliant, and so simple to use without a lot of clutter and junk. Pick the account, pick the end date, and it tells you if you will be ok, or in trouble, with the balance your account will have at the end of the period you picked. I live in the Bills section and it’s the easiest one I’ve ever used. Click pay, and it moves that bill to the account it’s taken from. Unlike other apps, you can edit payees and categories without deleting all the entries under that payee. Great if you happen to end up with multiples of the same payee. I can’t say enough about this check register and how user friendly, and uncluttered it is. Oh, and it looks really good too. ### 5/5 — A great app to keep track of your money. *2025-06-26, version 1.1.28* I’ve used this app for years, after the previous one I used was bought by a new developer and ruined. I’ve only ever had one problem with this app, and when I emailed them about it I received a reply with a solution the next day. I appreciate that kind of concern and support. I got this one a couple of years ago, and keep coming back to it whenever I try a new angle. I should stop trying new angles. I am terrible with money, so I’ve been desperate to find anything that could help. Every other app I’ve tried had too many things for me to juggle and balance, and those options just made it harder for me to keep things straight, or keep to my limits. They’d also kill my motivation long enough to cause bad setbacks. This app is so easy to use, easy to keep up with, has plenty of options (but you don’t have to use them all to keep everything going)…I just love it! I hope it can keep being updated with the major iOS updates, or I’m not even kidding when I say I’ll probably have a bit of a mental breakdown for a few days. ### 5/5 — Great Application Great Support *2022-12-22, version 1.1.24* I moved from another application to MyAccount Pro. When trying to import all of data I ran into an import error. I sent an email for help, thinking that I would not get an response, will I was total WRONG. Chris responded back within an hour, pointed out the issues and directed me to the file format document for importing. From the document I was able to write a conversation application to import my data. Great document and even better support. ### 5/5 — So simple, but all I was looking for!! *2022-03-12, version 1.1.23* While finally making the switch from Android to the IOS operating system, I lost a fabulous App I was using to keep track of my expenses for the last 7 years! That being one of the reasons I never switched! I cannot tell you how many apps I downloaded on my new phone trying to find something comparable to my android app. Either the apps were too much, or not providing me with the functions I needed. I’m simple. I didn’t want to connect any app to my financial institutions, I need to be able to copy and edit, I need to be able to search by various things; ex: category, payee, key word etc. and this app allows me to do that! It is easy to look at, free, can add all your accounts in one place…I love it! Hopefully, I can continue to use this account for many years. Something I wish it could do would be “mark as reconciled”, possibly make monthly ledgers instead of continuous entries but maybe this is possible and I haven’t figured out how yet!
