When one of my Vegas died I had to “upgrade” to the hydra 64s. They are not nearly as user friendly as the Vegas in the app. No weather features. No location options to mimic the sun from current location. Just way less features which is crazy since it’s a phone application. Should have way more features. The device is the light for my tank and it isn’t easy to adjust the time for it. You have to delete the whole light schedule in order to set up a new one rather than adjust what you. Or put them in separate tanks in the app. Then you lose the ability to put all the pumps in feed mode with a single controller. But the limitation of only a Bluetooth connection instead of WiFi like RedSea and others, for one, you have to be right in front of your aquarium to make changes, and two, IT DOESN’T CONNECT HALF THE TIME!!! When ever I had to update the schedule it was very easy and straight forward. I know from the bit of app development I’ve done that’s not easy. ### 5/5 — Confused about the negative reviews *2021-08-26* Look, I’m pretty tech savvy, and this app has worked flawlessly for me, in conjunction with both my AI Prime 16HD and my Nero 3. I think what we have here is a fundamental “user error” problem. I’m not saying everyone who has struggled with this is bad at basic Bluetooth tech, and I’m sure the early adopters had their fair share of bugs, but this app and its compatibility with A.I. devices is super slick now. I’ve loved it. If there were bugs, they’re fixed, and I believe a bevy of these negative reviews stemmed from people who just aren’t very technologically adept. ### 5/5 — REAL REVIEW !!! PLEASE READ !!!! *2021-06-27* Let me start off by saying DO NOT let those other reviews discourage or make you think twice about purchasing the light and using the interface!! The app works seamlessly it took 2secs to connect and a little time to play around with the adjustments to your liking… I suggest putting it on acclimate depending on your previous lighting equipment.
