The previous one was basic in design, but high in functionality and responsiveness when compared to this new version. The app is slow and doesn’t always register commands. It also doesn’t reset the sign in login. So when you open the app, you use it as normal only to have to sign in before paying for something. Also, the video on the page has an auto-play option enabled because when I’m listening to music, it pauses when I open the Aliv app. When making payments, there’s a delay and it says that there was an error accepting the payment. Then shortly after the attempt, I get a text saying it went through. I was given a 4 digit verification code for a field that required 6 digits.. You can’t buy data seamlessly. The circles just keep going around and around. Worked fine, but now I am home in Canada, and I cannot get a response by phone or email to my request to unlock it. Yet this app makes every single process difficult and clunky from start to finish. 1) UI is very confusing and poorly designed 2) The process flows lack logic and use unnecessary user flows 3) This app crashes constantly 4) Payments seem to fail only to go through afterwards 5) Logging in manually twice is tedious and annoying 6) The lack of useable data in-app when data is out is odd, seeing as how we need data to buy data. Data should be readily available during this time 7) This app needs facial recognition and fingerprint scan for accessibility. Please, please, please fix these issues. Bahamian companies tend to not put as much care into app management and it shows. The UI is simply dated. It’s frustrating to go through 5 menus to buy a phone plan only to have to log back in. There may well be a good reason you can’t get what you want but the sites are poor at explaining why. So thank goodness for “LJ”. A superstar at Aliv. He moves heaven and earth to solve all problems from the simple to the complex.
