### 2/5 — No change

*2026-09-03, version 8.5.4163504*

This app is registered in my old email address that I no longer have access to. Due to this I can’t change anything as it send all the reset information to my old email address and will not allow me to open an app with my new address. I was also told that Aviva don’t have an app by one of their customer representatives, then changed their mind to say the app is not set up for my type of car insurance policy. What a bag of fun

### 2/5 — Terrible Graphs

*2026-05-27, version 7.35.3831178*

I really dislike the graph viewer for the workplace pension. No control or ability to view what you want. The only options are to view the last 3 months or the last year. What if I want to see the entire history? What if I want to see a select range? What if I only want to view both my contributions and the total value? You’re hiding data for no reason and it’s frustrating. I’ve resorted to manually recording the value of my pension each month so I can make my own graphs. I shouldn’t have to do this. Please look at something like Trading 212’s app.
Your desktop website is almost as bad as the app for this, too.

### 1/5 — Still not fit for purpose

*2026-05-15, version 7.35.3831178*

Yet another update, but you still haven’t fixed the issue preventing people withdrawing their own money. Pathetic.

### 1/5 — Latest Release Completely Broken

*2026-05-15, version 7.35.3831178*

Your latest version appears to be completely broken. It’s telling me I don’t have a policy, when plainly I do (a pension). Don’t you test these things before you get too excited about releasing?

### 1/5 — Latest update has lost two of my Aviva Platform policies

*2026-05-14, version 7.35.3831178*

I can see the headline valuation but now am unable to select either the pre-retirement pension nor my platform ISA as they are no longer displayed.
I’m really unhappy. That’s a zero Aviva, but I can’t select less than one!
It worked prior to the update today, ie yesterday!

### 1/5 — Jude

*2026-05-13, version 7.34.3814296*

Two factor authentication just doesn’t work when this company is incapable of sending a code by text. I am unable to access my account. I was going to add to my insurance but will now find a different, and hopefully, more tech savvy firm

### 2/5 — Getting worse

*2026-05-12, version 7.34.3814296*

There used to be a really handy feature in this app called ‘what my pension might be worth’ with a low, medium and high prediction. This was really useful but has now disappeared. I got in touch via the Help button and was asked for all my personal details on about the third person I got to. This was really offputting as I don’t need personal information about my personal pension. I just want to know where this handy feature has disappeared to please? So now I’ve decided to write a review on here hoping that the tech people see it and can fix it.

### 1/5 — App broken

*2026-04-20, version 7.33.3761000*

App doesn’t work. I can’t log in via the app but can via web. Not sure what’s been updated in the past few months but the mobile app doesn’t seem to work or recognise log in details

### 1/5 — Not integrated with iOS

*2026-03-21, version 7.31.3700849*

Really annoying that I can't pull through password from iOS or Google and have to manually enter.

### 1/5 — Mr Clark

*2026-03-19, version 7.30.3672111*

Awful app, can’t see my policy to change it in the app or online or to even view my pension after numerous calls and time wasted

### 1/5 — Awful Company

*2026-03-09, version 7.30.3672111*

Aviva don’t care about existing customers, they increased my home insurance premium renewal excessively but when I contacted them through the chat facility on the app to see if the price could be improved, they were dismissive, couldn’t care less about retaining my custom and actually rude! I won’t use them again. Avoid!

### 1/5 — Still no support

*2026-02-25, version 7.28.3630297*

Note, to access pensions you need your solicitor to issue a signed validation of your passport.

Just another road block.

Don * not* invest.

### 1/5 — Can’t see how your pension is performing

*2026-02-20, version 7.28.3630297*

The app seems to work ok, but it seems more interested in trying to cross sell you stuff rather than keep you informed about how your pension investments are performing. Not a serious pension app like HL, Fidelity or Royal London.

### 1/5 — Kicking me out

*2026-02-15, version 7.28.3630297*

The app keeps me kicking me out when. I make a payment

### 1/5 — Pension pot value not updated for 3 weeks

*2026-02-13, version 7.28.3630297*

Very frustrated currently as my pension pot value hasn’t updated since 22nd Jan despite two calls I’ve made to report the issue. Clearly falling on deaf ears.

### 2/5 — Face ID Constantly failing

*2026-02-10, version 7.28.3630297*

Face ID keeps failing intermittently.
Very frustrating, I have to manually recover and use my password.
It’s 2026 guys.

### 2/5 — Primary function seems to be adverts

*2026-02-08, version 7.28.3612597*

I downloaded it to track my General Investment Account. While I can get that info, most of the display is taken up with ads and invitations for other Aviva services.

It’s really frustrating, as all the rubbish outweighs what you actually want to see.

### 2/5 — Poor update

*2026-02-07, version 7.28.3612597*

So with the recent update they have removed facial id biometrics well done as you also do t recognise passwords

### 2/5 — Biometrics

*2026-02-07, version 7.28.3612597*

You’ve broken biometric login on latest version. Login details are requested on launch even though biometric login is configured

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Seems to have stopped working

*2026-08-28, version 7.20.3371729*

As it says on the tin. Not good!!

### 1/5 — Does not work post upgrade

*2026-08-26, version 7.20.3371729*

This app used to be great with real time info on pension, life assurance and other products but hasn’t work worked since a recent version change.

My ID or log-in & passwords no longer recognised and not option to correct or report.

### 1/5 — Slow and unresponsive

*2026-08-10, version 8.3.4095792*

See title. App is rubbish. Service otherwise is ok.

### 1/5 — Unusable if you are a previous customer

*2026-08-09, version 8.3.4095792*

Frustrating app that forces you to use old registered accounts from previous employers, which makes registering with a new employer a nightmare as it enforces the use of the previous email address to log in - so fails including password reset. Most content in the app is trying to peddle financial services instead of focusing on service and cx. Chat is hopeless that forces help down a narrow set of circumstances, which is of course sales oriented.

### 1/5 — Can’t login

*2026-07-29, version 8.2.4039483*

Got stuck in spinning wheel when trying to login.

I re-install and now Got suck in notifications. I can’t submit after re-installing the.

This use to be my best company and app. Unbelievable how Aviva can destroy their app.

### 1/5 — Very poor and lacks numerous key features

*2026-07-09, version 8.1.3987812*

Very poor app with very difficult selection of funds, poor graphing, rubbish tech support. Simply the worst app of any of the 6-7 providers I’ve used.

### 1/5 — App has become too complicated

*2026-07-07, version 8.1.3987812*

Aviva should separate functionality in to simpler apps for specific categories (investments, insurance, travel etc). The UI is now completely unwieldy. I have no interest in anything other than investments.

### 1/5 — App not working anymore

*2026-06-03, version 7.36.3865069*

Since last update it says:- It doesn't look like you have a policy with us. You can check if that doesn't seem right. It then lists possible reasons none of which are valid. I have a pension and nothing from my end had changed. Was able to see pension before app update. Phone is fully up to date with latest iOS version.

### 1/5 — Two months, no resolution, manager threatened to end the call

*2026-05-18, version 7.35.3831178*

My car was damaged on 5th March 2026 while in the care of a third-party transporter contracted by Aviva to move my vehicle for repair at Solus Park Royal. I reported the damage on 18th March through the Aviva app. It has now been OVER TWO MONTHS with no substantive resolution.
Throughout this period, Aviva has:
• Failed to respond to my email of 20 April 2026 (handler: Bayley).
• Deferred responsibility back to Solus and the third-party transporter — contractors AVIVA selected and instructed — rather than owning the claim.
• Done the bare minimum of “chasing” with no proactive updates and no accountability for the months passing.
• Offered me a “resolution” of claiming through my own insurance and risking my no-claims discount, with no guarantee of reimbursement from the transporter. This is not a resolution — it is shifting Aviva’s liability onto the customer.
The call I received on [6th May] at 15:05 from an Aviva manager was the worst customer service interaction I have experienced from a regulated financial services company:
• He refused to give his name.
• He interrupted me repeatedly while accusing me of interrupting him, and shushed me multiple times.
• He accused me of “shouting” when I raised legitimate frustration — a tone-policing tactic that carries gendered and racialised undertones when used against a woman of colour.
• He threatened to terminate the call.
• When I asked to escalate, he placed me on a prolonged hold and then transferred me DOWNWARD to a junior frontline colleague, forcing me to restart security checks.
A formal complaint has been submitted. I will be updating this review based on Aviva’s response.
If you are choosing a motor insurer: Aviva will contract third-party providers to handle your claim, fail to hold them accountable when those providers cause further damage, and then expect YOU to absorb the cost and chase the resolution. Look elsewhere.

### 1/5 — Terrible now don’t use them

*2026-05-15, version 7.35.3831178*

This used to be a good company but now there’s no human being to deal with, just bots. I cancelled a car policy with them and was due a refund as the policy had 2 months to run. Instead they’ve put the same amount on the credit card I used to pay them as a debit and I can’t talk properly to them. Never again

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — iPhone app v iPad app

*2026-08-25, version 8.4.4116413*

The ‘from start’ is missing in ‘investments’ on the iPhone app. I find this very useful on the iPad app.

### 5/5 — Great for pension management

*2018-08-07*

I find this app easy to use, with it providing the information I need to manage my pension. Sometimes the service is “not available right now” but it doesn’t occur that often to bother me that much.

It would be great if we could receive a notification when a payment (via salary) is received, rather than me having to login to the app every day in the first 1.5 weeks of the month; I like to analyse my pension with a more detailed spreadsheet, so I take a snapshot of all fund values and input
on the day each payment lands. Thanks.

**Developer response:** Hi SkintBadger, its good to hear that you are enjoying the MyAviva App Experience, thanks for the notification suggestion and if you have anymore please send them to myavivaapp@aviva.com.

### 5/5 — My pensions keep disappearing from the app

*2018-05-27*

This app WAS brilliant a couple of years ago.

Now my pensions just disappear, there’s no detail of the transactions or were the money is invested in. Also I cannot make any changes to my investments, just see the value of the policies (when they appear). I spent hours on the phone trying to get my policies back on the app. For an app that deals with our money Aviva has a terrible user experience.
Reassuring me on the phone that they can see my policies but not to be able to tell me any other detail or help keep a track of the investments is to say the least - frustrating.

**Developer response:** Hi tornado_full_of_sharks. We are very sorry to hear that you are encountering this issue, in order for us to investigate your issue, can you please get in contact with us at myavivaapp@aviva.com so we can get a few more items of information from you.

### 4/5 — My drive

*2026-01-26, version 7.27.3563558*

They have a feature which is supposed to judge your driving and reward with a discount but in spite of very high scores they give reasons that I'm not eligible e.g that I've not driven enough miles (10000 +}. They've now increased my premium by 49% after no claims

### 4/5 — Mostly good

*2025-08-31, version 7.17.3305688*

It works very well, it’s reliable and I’ve not come across any bugs - reliability is very important to me. But I think it needs further refinement with the design, it’s messy, to many things on one page. You should take inspiration from banking apps. First page is your account, second page is offers and other products etc so it’s more simplistic. UX input is certainly required for this app.

### 4/5 — Updated: Does not go through the first page

*2023-11-24*

Updated: reinstalling the app fixed my issue, other than the bug I experienced it is a pretty good app though very simple, can’t do much but for checking your balance it’s okay

Original review:
When I open the app there are 3 screens, a biometric login, View Details and Start a claim, then the Login button appears on the bottom left but when I click it nothing happens. Oh and when I open the app there is a Skip button on the bottom left but that doesn’t work either. I don’t get it, it used to work but after an update I got logged out and couldn’t log back in since.

**Developer response:** Update I'm glad deleting and reinstalling the app worked for you. 😊 Kind regards ~ Jo Hi, sorry to hear that you're having some issues with logging into your MyAviva account, can you try deleting the app and reinstalling as this can sometimes resolve the issue. If this doesn't help, please can you contact us at myavivaapp@aviva.com along with reference number #20881723, policy number, full name address, DOB, details of the query along with screenshots of the issue, we'll then investigate this further. Thanks ~ Jo

### 4/5 — Too many updates!

*2021-10-03*

On the whole I like this app and find it really handy, but every time I open it it seems to need updating, and usually whatever I’ve got on my mind to do (renew insurance/check policy value etc) has to be parked in my mind while I wait for it to update, then I get distracted by the kids etc and forget. I hope it doesn’t need updating if I’m ever looking up the breakdown number on the roadside. I don’t think updating as regularly as possible as your description says is always such a great idea - can small insignificant changes like getting rid of the jingle be rolled up into less frequent updates?

### 4/5 — A good start

*2019-07-18*

It’s great to see some of my Aviva products all under one place, it actually motivates me to buy more Aviva products purely based on the app and having everything manageable in for me place. However I have other Aviva products so ch as life insurance, travel, critical illness, health essentials etc that are in a corporate account which I can’t see here. You really need to think about bringing all of a customers accounts together into one place. My other observation is it is really difficult to try and get things fixed through the contact points as well as feeding back improvements. Please do more work in this area to improve the overall user experience..

### 4/5 — Absolutely unusable

*2019-04-26*

From the very first moment this new “sales”orientated app replaced the original, it has been nothing but trouble. Yes it loads and looks very user friendly, great if I want to buy a product, but very unpredictable if I want to see my two pensions and ISA investment.
From day one I could not see any of details within my account, this was rectified after several months of emails and promises that it will be fixed.. the ISA performance is still not available and I think it’s now been over a year..
After the current update of this app, it’s like Russian Roulette if I can get any information on the balance of my accounts.
FYI I am using iPhone 6s Plus and IPad Air2 both with latest updates, in addition I also have the same issue when using safari web browser on iMac..
please can you update me on when this will be rectified.

**Developer response:** Hi Specs1, we are currently working on this issue and will be deploying a fix shortly to rectify this. Apologies that you have encountered this issue.

### 3/5 — App Updates

*2025-12-10, version 7.25.3491907*

On the whole good but about 6 months ago every time I did an update it wouldn’t download properly. Normally had to uninstall & reinstall for things to work. Then MyDrive simply stopped working for me and stopped recording my journeys. Reinstall didn’t help. I used to rely on my good driving score to get a bit of a discount at renewal time. Without the benefit of seeing the journeys my renewal quote rocketed. I cancelled and went elsewhere.
