No luck. Would be great if it were actually possible to sign in. The new version doesn’t work at all. The only pickup date or will allow is December 2019 (on 8/3/2020) which results in an obvious error message. I guess I’ll abandon the app and make a phone call. I enter the store number and current prescription number, press the get my meds button, and it tells me that it can’t verify my prescription because I have the wrong phone number. When I check the phone numbers in my profile they are correct. Also when I enter my cell phone in my profile, it asks me for the carrier. I enter the carrier and save it. When I go back and check my profile, the name of the carrier is missing. That’s what I get when I try to creat an account. I also tried to use my sign in for my big y account and it still doesn’t work. ### 1/5 — Not working *2023-07-11* Never had an issue previously with using this app. Last few times I’ve used it, it doesn’t recognize any of the info I try to submit. Have updated it with no improvement. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work. *2023-07-07* Big Y seems not to be paying attention to this app. Logging in never really worked right for me, and now I can’t even refill a prescription because it can’t load what ever external data sources it uses to be able to access local pharmacy info. I like shopping at Big Y, but their IT strategy seems to be piecemeal. This is not the era for skimping on IT! ### 1/5 — Worst Pharmacy App EVER! *2023-06-28* Big Y should be ashamed of themselves. They are there to help their customers manage their healthcare, and they can’t even manage their own prescription ordering site. I don’t accept that they are a small company, because this is an old program that is just not being upgraded or maintained. It’s like using dialup for internet in 2023! Customers (patients) have no way of knowing if the order they placed has actually been filled. If you order multiple drugs at once, an automated call won’t let you know if any are being held up. Many times I show up to find the order was still waiting on my doctor to send in the refill. Sometimes the site is stalled, and I need to call my orders in. Other times, I will get automated calls saying my order is ready - days after I had picked up my order. And the app doesn’t allow you to see if there really is anything ready for pick up. The app also just lists the names and doses of your drugs, but doesn’t state the last time you filled them. And since they all stay in the system (even when expired), you end up with too many to pick from with the same name, and no way of knowing which is the most recent one filled. I spoke to an IT person in the corporate office about a year ago after I ran into some major issues with the app. I was informed that they were planning an upgrade and were currently researching different options and companies to go with. They lied! Nothing has been done and it is even worse now! One of the pharmacists hinted that it was a financial reason. If it wasn’t that I switched to Big Y for my pharmacy especifically for their pharmacist, I would be long gone by now. This is extremely dangerous to a person’s health to have you show up for meds ordered 4-5 days earlier, to find out they never got the order. Or it was stuck with the doctor awaiting a refill. If the customer/patient was aware, they could follow up and push things along. I hope anyone reading this reconsiders using Big Y as their pharmacy.
