Could not get anything to connect. It boots me out like every week, and then I can't even log back in. Seriously, I have to try a million times or just wait until the next day. For all the money insurance companies bleed us dry for, you'd think they could at least make an app that freaking works! ### 1/5 — Persistent Log In Issues *2025-05-31* If I could give it a 0 I would. It crashes the app when you block on the button. Also I think this app would really benefit from Apple Wallet compatibility. I think Wallet compatibility would make this app worth it. ### 1/5 — Broken app, extremely annoying complications *2024-10-25* Features of the app clearly don’t work. The directories are limited, and the associated web applications they take you too are also barely functional. As another reviewer mentioned, virtual care does not work. If you manage to make it to the waiting room for a doctor (which itself was quite difficult), you will find that after waiting for 30 minutes, you are unable to actually connect to the doctor. It looked like I was still charged for the visit, so I contacted customer support. The response was a copy paste answer about the solution I spent 30-40 minutes figuring out on my own (some mobile browsers are not supported). If they know some browsers are not supported, why not tell me before I begin the process? As someone who is sick, this was an extremely frustrating experience. A chain of prompts and forms that should have taken 5 minutes somehow took 45. ### 1/5 — Virtual Care Feature is Broken *2024-10-07* Tried to use the virtual care feature several times and it crashes when it is time for the appointment to begin. Everything seems fine in the virtual waiting room, but it crashes and goes straight to the review screen rather than the actual appointment. This needs to be fixed ASAP. I see other reviews mentioning the same problem which points to a bug in the software. ### 1/5 — Won’t load *2024-07-06* Once I click o virtue care nothing loads or it will kick me out and make me login again. Can’t use the app. When I used it a while back it was awesome to have. But don’t know what happened. Of course, no one you can call and talk to on the weekends. Data is consistently out of date, force you to third party sites to find doctors and then doctors marked as accepting are not accepting. Constant logging in for no reason when session is still active. But it can never remember my login information and sometimes I have to restart the app two or three times before it’ll actually log into my account. For me, the simplicity is key so it can be easy to find all the information I need for all medical needs. It’s also easy to navigate. I highly recommend using the app to find the info instead of waiting on the phone. I wish all the other app can be this simple to use and the design is also on point. Easy to read with clear font and logical order. ### 5/5 — Snappy *2020-12-21, version 1.2.2* App design feels native, animations are smooth. It gets stuck on the “making secure connection” screen and never changes. Edit 1/15/23: it still doesn’t load. Nearly 4 months of no loading. Ridiculous Edit 2/9/23 - they fixed it a week or so after my last edit. App works better now. I wish it didn’t take me out of the app to do price checking and stuff, but that’s fine. ### 3/5 — Good overall, but missing a couple things *2021-12-30, version 1.10* Other Blue Cross Blue Shield groups offer the ability to create iOS wallet passes for ID cards, not sure why this one doesn't. ### 2/5 — Face idea is broken *2026-08-29* We have had this insurance for almost 2 years now, and not once has Face ID successfully worked to log me into my account. It will make me manually enter my password and then a pop up asking me to enable Face ID comes up, but when I hit continue (because my other option is to cancel logging in) it will scan my face and say "successful" but 5 minutes later if I reopen the app I have to do it all again. Is this a minor detail? Maybe. And, once I'm in the app a lot of it is very user-friendly.
