First of all some students may not have a smart phone, making it impossible for them to register themselves or have access to important information. Even if a student has a smartphone, their attendance will be marked down if it breaks / malfunctions or is lost / left at home, regardless if they attended or not. Does this system take into account authorised or emergency absence? Also students will most certainly send the ‘check in code’ to friends, meaning pupils will be marked in when they did not in fact attend.
