## What is MyBook?

MyBook - The Audition Book in an app.

MyBook was created to help musical theatre artists succeed not only in the audition room, but in life. MyBook provides a way to stay organized and keep on top of all audition material, as well as to store all musical theatre repertoire, including songs, librettos, scripts, and sides. The MyBook App is complete with a performance mode and an edit mode.

In Edit mode...
-An actor can create songs by uploading a PDF file and labeling it with the song’s Title, Composer, and Show/Album. These created songs get stored alphabetically in the MyMusic section of the app.
-Actors can create multiple books within the MyBook app, granting them the ability to be prepared for any audition room they walk into. These books are stored in the MyBooks section of the app.
-Artists can add songs into their books either by selecting the created book and choosing from their list of created songs, or by sharing the song into a book from the MyMusic portion of the app.
-Actors can create an unlimited number of books. Without carrying around multiple cumbersome binders, actors can have a Pop/Rock book, a Golden Age book, and anything other audition book they may need all in one place.
- Actors can also easily have an audition book of 32 bar cuts, a separate audition book of 16 bar cuts, and an audition book that holds the full length version of each song. This is made easy with our...
- Duplication feature where you can internally make a copy of a song you’ve uploaded to create different cuts of the same song. Instead of carrying 3 versions of the same song or one very marked up audition cut, auditioners save on weight and confusion by having the unlimited storage space on the MyBook App.
- Musical Theatre performers can easily edit their cuts of sheet music within the app, using our main tool bar complete with: Pen, Highlighter, Eraser, Text, Undo/Redo. Editing sheet music has never been easier!
- As a bonus, this tool bar includes an Upload and Play Back button which allows artists to upload sound clips to link with the specific song they are working on to either help practice, learn, or perform a song.

Performance mode...
- Is an easy way to show the specifically edited and curated content to the accompanist in an easy to use book with a table of contents that is simple to navigate.
- Contains a table of contents that displays all information the auditioner has put into the app for each song, including title, composer, and name of show/album. This appears so that the accompanist can know what they are playing with confidence.
- Allows the accompanist to either swipe or tap through the songs in front of them on a brightly lit screen. (No more complaints about sheet protector preferences!)
- Hides all editing features so there is no risk of the accompanist accidentally editing an actor’s sheet music as they are helping each performer have a successful audition!

A great app to simplify your audition book. Clearly created by an actor/singer who knows what we need! Easy to figure out and use, easy to play from as an accompanist. Definitely recommend as a tool for all actors!

I do a fair bit of casting and someone came in with the app and I enjoyed this simple solution to the usual headache of giant paper filled audition books. 
I downloaded it and have found it a great way to organize and keep sides/ songs simple. Since I started using it they’ve added additional features as well. Overall solid app.

I’m an actor in the city, and this app along w/ my iPad has been a great investment. It’s so difficult to go from my day job to auditions while worrying about printing out new music/ marking it. Now I can choose my song, mark my cuts, and listen to the instrumental track on the subway!!

I’m a music theater actor and this app has been super helpful and easy to use. I can organize all of my sheet music without sorting through a million pieces of paper, and it’s useful that I can mark my audition cuts right in the app as well. I think this is a great app for all singers and actors who need an easier way to organize and access their audition material, and who don’t want to worry about last minute runs to the printer before an audition.
