### 1.3 — 2026-08-03

Much more accurate on-device transcription.

- On iPhones running iOS 26 or later, MyBrainn now uses Apple's on-device speech recognition instead of Whisper. Transcripts are noticeably more accurate, and everything still happens on your device with no account, no server and no per-note cost.
- Pick the spoken language, Japanese or English, with one tap on the recording screen. On-device recognition needs the right language selected, so this makes the result far more reliable.
- Much smaller download. Because the speech models now ship with iOS, the app dropped from roughly 450 MB to under 15 MB.
- New setting to switch the app's display language between Japanese and English.
- Recording now always uses the higher audio quality, so the old quality switch was removed. It never affected transcription accuracy.
- Updated the in-app support contact address.

### 1.2 — 2026-07-21

Fixed an issue where exported notes could stop syncing to your chosen iCloud folder after updating the app. Syncing now recovers automatically.

New in 1.1:

• Apple Watch companion — capture a voice note from your wrist with one tap. Recordings sync to your iPhone automatically, and transcription continues on iPhone just like in-app recordings. If iPhone is unavailable, recordings stay safely on the Watch and sync the next time the devices reconnect.
