GM had introduced new functionality and reorganize the UX so it’s easier to navigate. My issue that removed 2 stars continues to be with scheduling service. After filling out all my information and submitting, I constant get a “something went wrong” issue. I hope every time that the app will let me schedule the appointment and it always fails. It didn’t used to fail. It didn’t fail in the prior version before the redesign. GM needs to do UAT to test each and every available selection and submit to see if it works and find the root cause when it fails. I’m trying to schedule an oil change. So basic and it fails. ### 2/5 — Not the quality I expect from Cadillac *2026-08-19, version 8.15.0* The app consistently falls short of what the Cadillac name should stand for. Charge management doesn’t update in real time, I have to close the app, reopen it, refresh, and wait, just to see the current state of my vehicle. Remote start is just as unreliable: it lags, hangs partway through, and often fails to confirm whether the car actually started. For a premium brand, this is a basic expectation, not a luxury feature. The vehicle itself is excellent. The app is the weak link, and it undercuts the whole ownership experience. Please invest in live data updates and a faster, more reliable connection to the vehicle. ### 2/5 — Not as useful as it used to be *2026-08-14, version 8.15.0* I used to be able to unlock my vehicle, remote start it etc from the phone app but this option is no longer in my app even though it is still listed in the app description. It was a really useful feature but now the app is pretty useless for me. ### 4/5 — More Feature *2026-08-13, version 8.15.0* More can be done and is expected from the MyCadillac app. Keyless driving (by phone) should be a feature. Start Charging (not just stop charging), Car Play should be an option, Google map dark display should be an option, and a vehicle display to change exterior colors. The app could send a battery low warning so that owner could charge the battery and avoid a non-starting car or damage to battery. ### 4/5 — Cadillac app *2026-08-06, version 8.14.0* For a Cadillac this app should be the best, this update changed the way to start a view in the app, this definitely needs better improvements ### 4/5 — Good but could be better *2026-07-28, version 8.14.0* The app is good for remote starting the car, locking and unlocking doors, but there should be more things accessible through the app. Like the ability to set the temperature in the car, turn on the heated seats, roll up and down the windows, etc. Hopefully, this will be on the next version. ### 3/5 — Laggy response *2026-07-26, version 8.14.0* This app is laggy, slow and generally behind the times. The latest update was more like a rollback to dial up speed. Constant errors and when disconnecting from the car you have to disable WiFi and then the car throws a fit with constant pop ups wanting to reconnect. The devs need to remove whatever was in that last update. ### 2/5 — Improve the app! (2nd Update -Jul 2026 Update - Nov. 2025) *2026-07-25, version 8.14.0* “2 stars from 1 star” After replacing the 5G module (or whatever that is that they replaced) twice(!), Everything in the car and the app are working. Got a software update that enabled the external cameras to record with the use of usb-c drive (to record to). But it makes no difference if you have 32 or 500 gigs (I have 128gb) of drive because it only records for 2 hours. After 2 hours it DELETES all those 2 hours of recording and the starts another 2 hour recording count. Can you imagine the frustration if, say, you got into an (heaven forbid) accident 1 hour and 59 minutes of recording? By the time you gather/compose yourself from the situation and try to go see the recording, you’ll see nothing because it resets the recording! Please make it act like a regular dash cam that records in 1, 2 or 3 minute increments then overrides the oldest file. ——-end of update—— Got the car 5 months ago. Got to use the app for 2 month!! And in those couple of months, the app is hit or miss! Called a bunch of times (OnStar button AND Cadillac tech support) to solve the issue but nothing worked. Even had me drive to the dealership for them to check; they run a diagnosis and found no fault. Even sent email to socialmediagm… Got a response once. Then nothing after. FRUSTRATING! HORRIBLE app! It’s laughable how I can easily connect and manually control my vacuum cleaner miles away. But I can’t even get vehicle status a stone throw away with this app! ——end of update—— A simple app to car command should not be a (frustrating) “task” -even when both the car and the app are connected to home WiFi- The luxury of Cadillac is the complete opposite representation of the app. Compared to the previous EV (app) I had… myCadillac app is way, way behind! It’s the best Cadillac since my 1986 Fleetwood Brougham D’Elagance. Why did Cadillac discontinue the CT6? I will probably not buy another Cadillac until they start making the CT6 again. In the last week or two, tracking in the Map function has been extremely sluggish. The vehicle used to move nicely along the map in real time. Suddenly, it’s not very responsive. The vehicle could be a half mile or more down the road before it moves on the map, then it sits stationary and finally moves again. This is quite out of character, so I wanted to mention it; hopefully this will get fixed. It’s very frustrating.
