This app needs some simple fixes: Show calendar on app, make it easier to find an event as it is you literally have to open every single little recorded clip and watch them, THIS IS ABSURD. The search feature still makes you do that. Make thumbnails to find event faster. And better would be a playing loop video to find it by sliding scroll arrow like all video features everywhere! ### 1/5 — Malfunctioning after 4 years *2024-12-11, version 2.1.29* I’ve had this system for around 4 years. Recently it told me I had to reset my password because the old one was unsecure, ever since then it will not load any cameras remotely, I cannot access recordings and it never connects. I’ve googled everything I can think of. The cameras have pretty good picture except at night it’s more grainy looking. My issue is all of a sudden the app does not store the recordings (when it used too). I even tried deleting and reinstalling and it still doesn’t work. Not it won’t save anything to my SD card so if something does happen I have no way to pull the video. Right now I only have live viewing that’s it. Doesn’t recognize the password and now won’t even recognize the default password. They have worked so well it’s not even funny. I didn’t notice Harbor freight discontinued them. Last week I noticed there was a one hour delay on me seeing an event from a remote area. Once I got home, I did some investigating and could not find any valid reason why there was a one hour delay. I tried changing the time zone to correct for the one hour delay, but that made it worse. Now I have an eight hour delay between an event And me being able to review it using the app. I have reason to believe my recordings are going to a database then back to the app. ### 1/5 — Connectivity stinks *2025-01-28* Hit and miss connection. I'm unable to see any videos, and it seems like recordings aren't saving to storage at all. Everything on my side appears to be fine, except I can't view any videos. Could you please fix this quickly? If not, I might have to change my rating to 1 star. I hope you can listen to your customers and resolve this issue soon, or I may need to consider changing the camera. Thank you! ### 5/5 — Perfect *2026-01-22, version 2.1.29* Are we still in business? ### 5/5 — iPhone 16 pro issues. *2025-01-27, version 2.1.29* Has worked wonderful for the past 3 years I’ve had my system. Only issue I’ve had is upgrading to new iPhone 16 pro titanium and it seems to not work for that device. I’ve reset the system to default, all passwords reconfigured, reset my modem, reinstalled app on iPhone 16, set to static ip instead of dynamic ip, and tried about every troubleshooting fix the World Wide Web has to offer to no avail. The app works flawless for my older devices ( iPad 12.9, 2 different iPhone 12s, beelink windows computer, iMac running Big Sur.) On the iPhone 16 pro, the app loads just fine. The app allows me to scan QR code to add the cobra device. It displays that it’s connected. When I click to view any cameras, it shows it “loading” with the spinning circle of doom for about two minutes before stating that the connection has failed. It will not load any camera. It works just fine on my other devices so at this point I’m assuming that there are compatibility issues not yet rectified for newer devices. I have 2 systems working at 2 different locations with 4 cameras each. The app allows me to monitor both systems easily. I have high speed internet at both locations and I have no issues. All of my cameras are outside even far from the base and still work well. I don’t see how you can find a cheaper more reliable system. To get this type of coverage wireless for 8 cameras and then installed would cost well over 2k. I’m in for about 1/4 of that. And professional systems are not any better. I’ve seen pros show up with the same equipment and charge 4x the price. ### 5/5 — Amend my review *2020-11-24* On my first review I erroneously stated I could only see one camera on my iPad and no way to navigate in the app. I recently discovered, by accident, if your iPad orientation is turned from horizontal to vertical the correct picture and controls are displayed. I’m sure the app could use some updating, but it works for me....it offers many features and lest we forget....it’s free! ### 5/5 — App works now *2020-10-15, version 2.1.18* I had problems with app. I had the WiFi connected to the DSL modem. I then used the user name and password to the router. Works perfect. I even downloaded the app from two other security cams. All 3 works with this cam. Try it ### 5/5 — Resolved: iPhone notifications stopped *2018-08-31* Update: Got in touch with app company and they were more than helpful troubleshooting back and forth via email. Turns out the monitor wasn’t talking correctly with the server. The fix... turn the monitor off then back on!! Just like everyone else said, worked fine then notifications just stopped.
