Convenient and easy to operate, myCardioMEMS app tracks your PA pressure readings and sends timely updates about your therapy. myCardioMEMS app can be downloaded by a primary caregiver (such as a spouse, son or daughter) or by the patient. There is a secondary caregiver option allowing the viewer to see the app message history. Indications and Usage: The CardioMEMS™ HF System is indicated for wirelessly measuring and monitoring pulmonary artery (PA) pressure and heart rate in New York Heart Association (NYHA) Class III heart failure patients who have been hospitalized for heart failure in the previous year. The hemodynamic data are used by physicians for heart failure management and with the goal of reducing heart failure hospitalizations. Contraindications: The CardioMEMS™ HF System is contraindicated for patients with an inability to take dual antiplatelet or anticoagulants for one month post implant. Potential Adverse Events: Potential adverse events associated with the implantation procedure include, but are not limited to the following: Infection, Arrhythmias, Bleeding, Hematoma, Thrombus, Myocardial infarction, Transient ischemic attack, Stroke, Death, and Device embolization. Limitations: Patients must use their own Apple‡ mobile device to receive and transmit information to the my CardioMEMS™ mobile app. To do so the device must be powered on, app must be installed and data coverage (cellular or Wi-Fi‡) available. The myCardioMEMS™ app can provide notification of medication adjustments and reminders, requests for lab work and acknowledgement that the PA pressure readings have been received. However there are many internal and external factors that can hinder, delay, or prevent acquisition and delivery of the notifications and patients information as intended by the clinician. I tried logging back in months ago and couldn’t. Called tech support and someone said the app was being redone but had no information about when it would be back up or why it was taken done while new development was being done. That’s not the way software development is managed. Apparently something happened to this when they bought out St Jude. Support is now nonexistent. ### 1/5 — Worthless *2024-12-24* This app really provided you with little information. It will tell you the days that you’ve taken a scan. That’s it. And, even then is takes some jumping around to get it fixed. You go to history wait a while and then it’ll update. The most useful information would be the actual pressures, maybe with a simple graft that shows how you have been trending. Also instead of a meds section, you could have a function that allows you to enter your daily weight. And then simple graft showing you weight trend. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t show your numbers *2022-10-05* History screen only shows what days readings were taken, not what the readings were. Your doctor can send a reminder to the app telling you they haven’t received a reading. Has a Reminder feature to tell you when to take your medications, which seems misplaced in this app. Haven’t tried it. Stay Logged In feature is flaky. Often doesn’t show recent readings unless you change to Account, bounce around, and go back to History. Easier to just log in each time. **Developer response:** Thank you for your concerns. Unfortunately, this only shows whether the reading was received each day. Incredibly disappointing. ### 1/5 — this is a joke right? *2021-10-18* The app crashes continuously on my iPhone 12. When I finally register and login to the app it doesn’t give me any useful information at all. Where are my numbers? No graphs or charts? This is just silly. For such a “high-tech” device, this is a seriously low tech app just wasting space on my phone.
