School won’t help. Reset password multiple times. ### 2/5 — Poor user experience *2026-07-22, version 6.55* This app is no more than displaying a web browser view within the app, this provides a poor user experience and I work in tech. Moving around within the app, zooming in, changing pages etc is poor and clunky. Ridiculous. No “messages” or “notifications” the “timetable” option has been removed. The one issue that is really annoying is when paying for school dinners, it errors when selecting a saved payment card. Change the colour of read and unread items to separate them. Allow the deletion of read messages. It’s basic stuff tbh & quite possible the lamest app I’ve used. But have to use it as the school does. I’ve not fully explored it yet, but my initial thoughts are that it seems clunky to navigate. Things like the timetable seem to be difficult to read; as a parent I’m looking for things like when my child has PE, but the subject on the timetable don’t jump out. The home screen seems quite empty, it all just seems a bit blank. I wasn’t fond of the other vendors app, but it did seem easier to navigate and digest ### 1/5 — Rubbish app *2026-06-04, version 6.54* App logs you out all the time and then won’t allow you back in with the correct log in details. ### 2/5 — Terrrible messaging system *2026-06-04, version 6.54* This will depend a little on how much your school uses the messaging system for communication, but since ours uses it exclusively, it’s a problem. There’s no search function, so finding ‘last months message about PE kits’ etc is an absolute nightmare. Search is an essential, basic function for messaging, and this does not have it ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Update *2026-08-30, version 6.57.1* Constantly Glitching Every time there’s a “bug fix” update, the app doesn’t function correctly and keeps kicking me out for no reason. I need to make a purchase now before things become fully booked, but I’m unable to do so because the app simply isn’t working. This has become a constant disruption. There’s no warning, no predictability, and the app becomes unusable at the exact times when I actually need it. On this occasion, I haven’t been able to use the app to access or manage any of my bookings, or even make a payment or purchase. These repeated issues are seriously affecting the reliability of the service. An update that is supposed to fix bugs shouldn’t leave users unable to access their accounts, manage bookings, or make purchases when they need to. I need this issue resolved urgently, as I shouldn’t have to risk missing out on bookings or purchases because of ongoing technical problems with the app. ### 1/5 — Poor App *2026-08-30, version 6.57.1* A lot of the time the app just refuses to open, just sits there like a stroppy teenager doing nothing. Can’t tap on anything to open any areas to see child’s info or pay. If I try the app its repeats the first step and brings me back to step one ### 1/5 — By quite some margin the worst app on my phone *2026-07-06, version 6.55* The notifications don’t show in the right order. If you click on the wrong one all the latest ones get hidden at the bottom. It always wants to do double Face ID. The payments and wallets make no sense. You can’t see notifications for both children. Truly a triumph of terrible user interface! ### 1/5 — Totally inadequate for parent communications *2026-07-06, version 6.55* My school switched last Sept to MCAS / Bromcom and all communication in the past school year has gone downhill. The parents’ WhatsApp group has to make up for the short failings of MCAS to keep parents informed of notifications from the school. Despite the app sending a notification, once the user clicks on the notification it sends you to the general dashboard in the app and it leaves the user to ‘guess’ which tab the notification is applicable too. Given that there are often at least 12 tabs, it is not easy to search for or locate a notification. The system also doesn’t allow you to opt for ‘email notifications’ if you are using the app so there is no back up communication.
