I did not consent to any yearly subscription because I physically cannot afford to pay £49.99 upfront, hence why I opted for monthly payments. I have now cancelled the Apple subscription so it will end after the free trial as I am now massively put off by this. I have emailed there support team and they have 48hrs to respond and refund me before I do a charge back through my bank. I’ve not had any training on it and was looking for an app to support us both going forward. I downloaded this as it says it’s created alongside the makaton charity, created an account and then added my child. Then I was told I had to pay £7.99 a month. I do not have £7.99 a month spare for an app! I want to support my child as best I can and I’m unable to do it because there’s no free version. A 7 day trial is unhelpful… ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2022-10-20, version 1.0.8* My disabled son had this app on his iPad (it was just called MyChoice Pro) which he smashed nearly 2 yrs ago, I thought I had deleted the app yet somehow it is still managing to take £6.49 from my bank account every month 😡 ### 2/5 — Too expensive / no videos! *2022-08-22, version 1.0.8* I tried this app to replace one which I’d previously paid a set amount for. The one I was replacing had a library of makaton symbols all shown with an accompanying video. I was forced to replace this app as one day it was just gone from the App Store! This new one may have more symbols but they’re useless to me without a video showing how to them. At £7.99 a month for use of the app, I’d expect it to have videos on every sign. It’s too much money to charge. This is a language which people would learn to support those unfortunate enough to Have to use it.
